Secure, safe and light-filled 2 bedroom/1 bath upper level private & self-contained guesthouse w/beautiful views, located 1/2 mile from entrance to Chugach State Park & Prospect Heights Trailhead, just 5 minutes away from Hilltop Ski and Recreation area. A home away from home featuring a gas fireplace, private deck, garage, fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances and laundry. Upper private deck with George Foreman grill, table and chairs, perfect for enjoying the view and lounging after a day of hiking, cross country skiing, or sightseeing.
Surrounded by trees and wildlife , yet only 15 minutes to downtown or 15 minutes to airport. Large flat screen smart TV. Just bring your log in info to access all premium channels including Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu and more. High speed internet WI-FI included. Completely private and quiet - no traffic noise. Just the sound of wind in the trees and local fauna to keep you company. The best of traditional Alaska and the amenities of contemporary Anchorage. Owners are next door and available if you need assistance to make your Anchorage visit more memorable or convenient. Will comfortably sleep six with two bedrooms furnished with queen bed & full sized bed and a hide-a-bed sofa in the living room. Lots of storage/closet space, too. Families are welcome. We also enjoy having business guests. We have a playpen & high chair if you need them. Warm & secure parking in garage available if requested for winter visitors. Everyone loves Alaska in the summer, but the fall and winter offer many charms, including reasonable airfare, fewer crowds, Fur Rendezvous festival, the Iditarod, the Iron Dog Classic and the aurora! Clean and cozy with beautiful views. Comfortable beds, great water pressure and quiet neighborhood perfect for strolling after dinner. The best stocked kitchen we have ever experienced with a short term rental. Easy to get places from this location. We would definitely stay here again.

Everything about this guesthouse was perfect! Very spacious and clean, beautiful updated kitchen, great beds, hot shower, blackout curtains, and washer and dryer. I loved that it was above the detached garage (so we didn't hear the owners, but knew they were near) and located outside busy Anchorage within the Chugach State Park. You felt very secluded yet close to downtown Anchorage (a short 10-minute drive). The owner takes pride in the beautiful decorations throughout and there is plenty of room to spread out. It is very easy to navigate to anywhere you want to go. My hubby and I would definitely rent here again!

Host provided good arrival instructions. The apartment was just as nice as the pictures represented. The kitchen was well appointed and the bedrooms very comfortable.

This is a beautiful property, thoughtfully decorated. It is close to downtown and to the Chugach State Park hiking trails, which are some of the most beautiful trails we have ever hiked. The owner was kind, and answered our questions quickly. I highly recommend the property.

Our guesthouse was beautiful and immaculately clean. We could see the ocean, the mountains, and downtown Anchorage from our location. The house was decorated with tasteful appointments and gave off a very homey and relaxing place to stay. Donna, our hostess was very informative about the home and also local attractions and history of the area. She was always available for our questions but simultaneously made herself in the background unless we specifically requested a want or concern. She and her husband are very warm and genuinely real people who boosted our vacation to the unforgettable level.

This house was delightful, very well stocked and comforts unending. The location was a short distance to restaurants, shopping, and all sorts of activities. This place was our very own oasis.

This property is amazing! I have never stayed at a VRBO that was so well appointed, spotless, exactly as shown on the VRBO sight. The beds were very comfortable and having the laundry was a bonus! The kitchen had everything you could possibly think of. It is a short 15 minute drive from the airport in a great neighborhood and made a wonderful home base for our stay. I would highly recommend this property!

Great place to stay in Anchorage

My husband and I stayed here for a few days in May 2019. Lovely space, super clean, well-equipped, and just far enough from the downtown Anchorage to get the "we are in Alaska" fee without a hassle of long commutes. Highly recommended.

Snowy paradise

Homely, warm and cosy. A great place to return to after a day exploring Alaska. The accommodation had everything we could need, we cooked great meals, enjoyed with a nice glass of wine with snowy views and beautiful sunsets

Texas to Alaska Roadtrip Rest Stop

Clean, quiet, quaint come to mind… Donna and Ed are awesome. The location is in a quiet residential area, which is cozy but super convenient to everything you need. Enjoyed the view from the deck. Perfect stop to relax after a 5,000 mile bucket list road trip. Thx!!

Perfect Place

This place was a perfect fit for our family. Great area to be. Quiet yet close to amenities. Our Host, Donna was amazing! The space had everything you could think of and was very cozy and inviting. Close to hiking trails, skiing and the mountains. We saw Moose every day. Thank you for a wonderful time.

What an amazing place. The view was breathtaking. The instructions on checking in very clear. The place is clean, modern and beautifully decorated. Also very well stocked. Plenty of towels, bedding, and especially kitchen supplies. I know this part sounds funny... but also nice toilet paper & kleenex.It's nice not to get stuck with one-ply. Attention to detail is like no other. Highly recommend.

The most charming home and hostess. Every inch of this beautiful cottage was decorated with love!

Donna- went to great lengths to make our stay in Alaska very special. Her guest home is absolutely beautiful. She thought of everything. This guest home is cozy, comfortable, and absolutely beautiful. You will enjoy your stay tremendously. It has a beautiful view and you feel it is a home away from home. I will recommend this place to everyone who visits. If I could give in ten stars I would.

This was the last stop on The instructions to get in were very easy to get in. It was a little confusing finding the rental because the address given was 10000 but the building was 9998. We were very happy with the house! Thank you for sharing your space with us.
