Very happy 4th

Thoroughly enjoyed the house and pool and lakefront. It was the perfect spot for all three generations of our family to be together in one place for a few days. Our hosts were very responsive. The property was spacious and comfortable. We’d do it again in a heartbeat .

Lake House

The property was very quaint and in a quiet area of the lake. The pool was a wonderful feature to have for hanging out on the super hot days.

Great fun with privacy

Perfect weekend getaway!

This lakefront home was exactly as described in the listing. My husband and I, along with another couple, had more space than we knew what to do with. We enjoyed all of the amenities. We’ll stay there again!!

Family Getaway

Perfect family getaway and space for all of us! We loved drinking coffee on the deck, swimming in the pool, and fishing off the dock. We rented a boat nearby for a couple of days and truly enjoyed the lake. It was a fabulous 5 days and Mike and Mary were super easy to communicate with, thank you. Hope we can come back for another family getaway.

The Perfect Vacation Home!

This is our second visit to this home. We loved the updated kitchen! The house was perfect for two families— everyone had plenty of space. We brought our own boat as it was easy to launch nearby and very convenient to keep on the dock. We also found great fishing right off of the dock! Homeowners were very responsive with every question. We will absolutely be back!

Wedding Weekend

Our daughter was getting married at a Lake Oconee Venue, the House is in the perfect location for us to access the main Hwy 44 to get to everything. I can't say enough about the house, and we would definitely rent it again and highly recommend it to anyone.

Fabulous Weekend on Lake Oconee!

Mike & Mary have a beautiful, well maintained property. We thoroughly enjoyed our time hanging out at the pool/hot tub, playing games, and fishing off the dock until dark each night. There are so many great spaces to spend time together: coffee on the back deck, games around the table, conversations in the living areas. It was so nice to have a bathroom for each bedroom as well! Highly recommend the property and owners!

Perfect Lake Escape

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this wonderful lake house. The pictures do not do it justice. The house is spacious and cozy. The pool and jacuzzi served lots of entertainment for the Moms and the kids and the lakefront view was so relaxing. The location is close to all necessary stores and restaurants. Mike and Mary were great hosts and always responded quickly to any questions we had. We are looking to book again for next year!

Absolutely beautiful home and experience!

We had the best time we have ever had visiting Lake Oconee. This home and property were beautifully maintained and attended to. The home is beautiful and the views from the porch during sunsets were stunning. Our kids loved the pool and fishing off the dock. Mary was so easy to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed. This is a special family place and we will definitely be back! Thank you so much for allowing us to use your lake home.

Family Summer Birthday Get-together

We were looking for a stand-alone house to host a small gathering of family to celebrate our summer birthdays. This beautiful home was so perfect. Quiet, spacious, luxuriously and thoughtfully arranged to be enjoyed in so many ways. The pool, the dock, the easy lake access, grilling, playing and relaxing. My favorite time was actually in the night after everyone left, sitting on the porch during a light rain, listening to the tree frogs and watching the lights sparkle off the water. Absolutely magical! If only I could have bottled the sights, sounds and smells of that gentle rain. My family is already asking when we can return. Thank you for sharing this special place.

summer vacation 2022

what a beautiful home ! the property & location is perfect! pool, hot tub/spa was wonderful after spending day on the lake and swim in the pool. great way to end the day. plenty of room for 6 adults and two teenage girls. Mary & Mike are great to work with. Rented a pontoon boat with tube, wakeboard from Young Harris water sports which is a great place and close to house. Thank you !

A hidden gem in Georgia.

We will miss our breakfast times at the porch with the most peaceful lake view. The location of this lovely house feels like a sanctuary. So perfect in many ways. Both Mary and Mike were very responsive to our questions, and made our trip go very smoothly. We highly recommend this gorgeous house if you are looking for a laid back and relaxing vacation in nature. Also, you may want to explore local restaurants around the area. We dined out almost every night and food was amazing in each place we tried. We hope to go back there again soon.

Very Nice Indeed

We loved the pool, hot tub, lake, the porch, and the ample space in side and out for relaxing. Our family get-together was a great success. The port-cochere was a great asset too, being able to load and unload our gear in the shade and in the dry. Our typical day went like this: family breakfast, boat time on the lake, lite lunch and relaxing by the pool, more boat time, family supper, relaxing by the pool till dark, hot tub time, then on to bed. I don't believe we could have had a happier time together, and your home was set up so nicely to foster family interaction. We are so grateful we had it for a week.

Family lake vacation

Accurate listing. Great house set up! Well supplied kitchen! Only negative was the Hot Tub controlled via an App! We had to text to turn on Hot tub! While I like the idea of it- actuality of it was not ideal for renters. There were times when my children(early 20s) wanted to use it but I didn’t feel comfortable texting someone after 11 asking to turn it on! All in all a great experience.

Picture perfect setting

The location is perfect and the home is very comfortable. The property is as shown and the view was just amazing. If you’re looking to relax and enjoy nature this is the perfect place to do so. The only negative we had was that the pool temperature was uncomfortably cold. The only time my children got in was at noon when the sun was right on top of the pool. The owners advised us that the jacuzzi wasn’t working but didn’t realize that meant the pool was not heated as well. Granted, we may be overly sensitive because we are from Florida and use to much warmer temperatures and it had been raining the days prior to our visit. Owners were very responsive and available via text. Would definitely stay here again.

Don’t Hesitate!

If you were lucky enough to find this property available for your travel dates and made it to this review, stop looking any further and book this property. This is my fourth consecutive year at the lake, and have been trying to start a family tradition with the grand babies and grown children and finally had the perfect experience we have been looking for. We will never have to go thru the painstaking searching and worrying about where we are staying again. This will be our permanent spot hopefully for years to come. The property is very secluded, private, and tucked in a cove with lots of trees and wildlife, but you would never realize you are less than five minutes away from some of the best restaurants in town. We brought our 18 foot Grady White, and the dock is extremely well built, plenty of deep water, but protected from potential damaging wake actions from other boats. The pool and hot tub speaks for itself but be warned that once you experience staying on the lake with a pool, you will never accept anything less. The house is extremely comfortable and amazingly provisioned. You will truly feel at home! Even the covered parking is great to keep the hot sun off your vehicles and lots of room for trailer parking. And the owners, they are just wonderful! I promise, you will not regret it!
