Awesome family vacation

Great Stay!

Perfect little spot for our group. We were there in the winter so we didn’t get to enjoy the lake, but the house is only 15 minutes away from the Birkie Trailhead for world class skiing! Great kitchen with everything you need and the beds are super soft. Would recommend!

Our extended family of 6 stayed at this property and appreciated the accessible access to the lake and grab bars in one bathroom for my 86-yr old mother. The interior of the cabin was accurately reflected in the property photos and overall was very clean, other than the kitchen cabinet interiors which were dirty. The couches really need replacing and the TVs were not connected to the cable boxes. Wifi was strong tho. The exterior/amenities of the property need some love. Cobwebs covered the cabin exterior and windows, lawn was spotty, dead flowers, trash left at the firepit, canoe with a hole in it, kayaks had seen their better days, no outdoor games and the pontoon was in very rough condition (it ran, but that's the best thing I can say). If you're only planning to use the cabin interior and need the accessible space, then this is a great place. I'm hoping the owners update the exterior photos to reflect the condition of the actual property.

Family get together

We come to northern Wisconsin every year to hang out with my husband’s siblings! We need a wheelchair friendly place for the home and for fishing and this is perfect for us!

We are always searching for a place we can take our mobility-challenged moms, and we have now found it. Huge open kitchen, level to the fire pit and dock, roll-in shower, toilet with grab-bars... This place has done more than any other we have seen to insure accessibility for mobility-challenged people. On top of that, it's spacious, private, and gorgeous. Beautiful lake, heavily wooded, and the fire pit is close to the house. It even has an adjustable height bed, and a comfy chair in the living room that's easy to get out of.

Back Bay Hideout

Snowmobile Trip

Namakagon landing

Great location, huge kitchen, nice dock. Couch was tricky as the cushions keep falling off and you tend to slide down and off with these cushions. The mattresses were not that great in a couple bedrooms but overall a great location and loved the fire pit and grill Garage area was great. Quick response to texts about a few things very nice people!! Would love to go back!!

Reviewer Comments: My family loves the layout of this home with the huge kitchen, great dock and pier, very large garage to hold our bikes etc during our stay. Overall we love this home, with the exception of the couch. It is very well loved and as such, the cushions constantly slide down and need to be readjusted all the time, That is our only complaint! Would highly recommend this home!

Namakagon Landing house in Cable, WI

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We just returned from our week staying in the home Namakagon Landing and had a very nice time. The location is excellent, nice dock, very spacious with a large kitchen. Our biggest complaint, that has been the same complaint for the past several years, is the couch!!! It is TERRIBLE to sit in, the cushions are falling apart and it definitely takes away from our stay. Everytime you sit on the couch the cushions slide off and you have to get up and fix the cushions, it is very annoying to say the least. I noticed in the blog books that other people have been complaining about this couch for over 6-7 years!! Would LOVE if the owners would get a new couch as that is part of what we are paying for, the furnishings, for our stay. We really love this house and want to keep returning every year, but this will be hard as our grand children get older and there won't be enough places to sit to watch tv, play games, chat etc. Please replace the couch.

Would totally recommend this property for anyone in a wheelchair. The property was very clean. The kitchen had all the supplies need to fix meals. The accessibility for the wheelchair was perfect. We rented the pantoon and were able to get the wheelchair on the pantoon boat without any issues. The host was very responsive. The listing says to bring towels, however the host did provide a dish towel, a dish rag and hand towels for the bathrooms. The couch and love seats have seen a lot of love. We had a bit of a hard time getting out of them.

Relaxation with family & enjoying nature

Although it rained several days, we enjoyed playing cards, doing puzzles, reading and enjoying the family. Because I am in a wheelchair, the cabin works well for me because everything is on one level and the slope to the lake is not very steep. The decorations in the cabin are so homey and well done. The property management are easy to work with. Thanks to the owners for sharing their "summer home".

The property met my wife's accessibility requirements effectively. She became a quadriplegic as a result of an accident 26 years ago, and the open, accessible design of the property was beneficial. In our experience, few properties outside our own have been similarly accommodating. The water features and fishing opportunities were appreciated, and access to the pontoon boat was a positive aspect. However, there were some issues with the boat, including non-functioning fuel gauge, running lights, and depth finder. A powered anchoring system could also enhance the fishing experience.The home was clean and comfortable overall. Cleaning both the windows and their screens is advisable, and you may also want to pressure wash the outside surfaces.We had a great time and look forward to visiting again.

Felt we were scammed

Not as advertised. No host to meet us, garbage all over, stifling heat inside, not paved for handicapped despite stating it was handicapped accessible. Handicapped would have to stay indoors with only one path to walk on. Didn’t feel safe there either. Isolated. Mom felt she was scammed out of her money. We left and learned an expensive lesson

3 nights at Namakagon

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented this cabin because someone in our party was in a wheelchair. It is VERY difficult to find truly accessible accommodations. This cabin satisfied most of our accessibility requirements. The interior of the cabin and the grounds were very pleasant. The view of the water is nothing special. Even though the lake is huge, this cabin is in a small "lagoon" type area. I don't recommend swimming there; the lake bottom is all mud. Had we been able to use the pontoon to explore the greater lake, I'm sure we would've had a better lake experience.
