Northern Traditions - Loon Lodge

Northern Traditions - Deer Hollow and Loon Lodge; both cabins are listed on this website and are located adjacent to each other on the beautiful, 3300 acre Long Lake in Washburn county, the 'Walleye Capital of Wisconsin.' These well-appointed cabins provide a home away from home retreat without compromising any comforts.

Deer Hollow has five bedrooms and three and a half baths; Loon Lodge has five bedrooms and three and a half baths. Each cabin has two full kitchens one up and one down. Cabins can be rented individually or together for the Wisconsin family vacation of a lifetime.

If your traditional Wisconsin vacation has been threatened due to resorts going condo or sold to private owners, Northern Traditions is your answer.

Private five acre lot, log-cabin construction, large decks, spacious screened in porches, deep water docks, excellent fishing and water sports... these cabins were constructed with both the fishermen and the family in mind.

Each cabin comes with a Lund boat with 15HP motor and trolling motor. ( Note docks and boats are out of the water for winter by 10/15 each year.)

Great Lake Cabin!

We have stayed here multiple times in the winter. It’s a beautiful house with a great view of Long Lake. We love coming here!

Great Place for Family

We absolutely loved this house and location. We came for Christmas to spend time with family. Our boys (and dads) spent most of their time ice fishing. We also enjoyed family meals and game nights each night. The house was beautiful and spacious. (We had a small issue with the oven but not enough to stop us for doing what we needed.) The second kitchen downstairs came in handy. Most importantly the house manager was so sweet and friendly! She made sure we had everything we needed upon arrival and even checked in during our stay via phone. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Highly Recommend Beautiful Spot in Northern Wisconsin

We spent our annual girls weekend (4 nights) at Loon Lodge. We have nothing but positive things to say and we highly recommend it. The cabin was lovely with a beautiful view of the lake. There was plenty of space, a well equipped kitchen, 2 wonderful fireplaces, comfortable beds and it was super clean and tidy. The property manager, Laurie, was easy to work with and was available to answer questions. We also found towns to explore in the area, and especially enjoyed the combination local indie bookshop/yarn store in nearby Spooner.

A perfect cozy weekend

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had the most wonderful stay! From the moment we walked in, we could tell the house was spotless and so well cared for – everything was sparkling clean, and it made us feel right at home. Laurie met us to check us in and she was an absolute gem to work with, incredibly friendly and attentive to every detail, making the whole experience smooth and stress-free. The cabin itself was beyond cozy! The decor was charming, and it was so easy to settle in and relax. One of our favorite parts was the kitchen(s) – it was stocked with all the Pampered Chef tools we could need, which made cooking each meal there an absolute joy. Not only did we get to enjoy a weekend of home-cooked meals, but we felt totally spoiled with the quality of the kitchen setup. Overall, this stay exceeded our expectations in every way. If you’re looking for a clean, cozy, well-equipped retreat, don’t hesitate to book here!

Wonderful Place

We had a wonderful stay. The lake view from the house is amazing. The house was so well stocked with everything in the kitchen you could think of. You do have to bring your own spices but thats not a big deal. From booking to leaving the process was great. Our property manager was wonderful. We will be back next year. Thank you to the owners you have a wonderful home

Family get away

It was a beautiful place to hang out with family. Plenty of space yet still maintained a sense of being together. Beautiful view of the lake! We will definitely come back!

There are quite a few options for lodging on Long Lake. This home and property are by far the best on the lake. Perfect for a guys fishing/golfing trip or with the family. Clean and beautiful property and home. Wonderful property manager and owner. Top notch all around.

Another Great Vacation

Once again, Loon Lodge worked perfectly for our family and our multiple boats. We played games on the screened porch the first two "rain days", but the rest of the week we were out on the water hanging out at the sandbar, water skiing/tubing, and visiting the local restaurants/bars located on the south end of the lake. It was just a short drive (or boat ride) up to Butternut Hills where we enjoyed playing golf and singing along to Karaoke at the clubhouse Saturday night. As usual, plenty of bald eagle sightings, although it turns out the new neighbors may have displaced the one that nested right next door (so sad). Wish we would have been able to use the fish cleaning shed more, but the heavy rains all spring seemed to have reduced our usual catch. We certainly plan to be back next year!!!

I love staying here. Our core group has been here a few years running now, and it's just perfect for what we do. The manager is really on top of things and is always available for any questions/concerns. Top notch place in our books, and one we look forward to renting again and again.

Beautiful Log Cabin

This place was perfect for our mother/daughter/cousin weekend. Lots of space to spread out and to come together. The stair lift made getting the 80+ year olds up and down the steps. Well equipped kitchen was perfect for eating in. It rained all weekend but was still lovely to look out on the water.

Men's winter ATV trip

The property is clean and well cared for. Enjoyed talking with the property manager. And it is a convenient location to at least seven bars with our ATVs.
