Aphrodite Hills junior villa stay

We stayed at Stephen’s Adonis Village junior villa for a week. The villa was located almost next door to the communal pool, which was uncrowded, in pretty surroundings and well serviced. The villa itself had three bedrooms across two floors, with an attractive balcony and terrace with extensive views across the ravine. The property was very well resourced, more like a home rather than a rental. The property was very clean and tidy and was located very close to resort amenities at the village square and hotel.

The villa was very well located in the fantastic Aphrodite Hills district. Stephen, the owner was always very quick to respond to any queries which was great. The views from the villa are great. Would definitely recommend and hopefully return. Aphrodite Hills is absolutely amazing. Golf, restaurants, padel, tennis, football are all on site to a high standard. There is a Costa, a Hagen das, a supermarket (pricey but handy) pharmacy all on site. Great place for a holiday. 5

Lovely family holiday

Lovely 3 bed villa perfectly placed near the pool in terms of access yet never heard any noise as the villa is set a level down from the pool. Lovely clean place and well set up for holiday letting. Resort has all you need in terms of restaurants, pharmacy, small supermarket. We did have a car to venture out a bit further. Not a necessity but nice to have to go and explore local villages and we found lovely local restaurants in Kouklia and Pissouri Bay, etc

Adonis Village, Aphrodite Hills Resort.

Can’t fault the villa that we stayed in. We taxied it from the airport and this was 15mins. It may be an idea to get the true location on your phone for google maps just as back up for the driver. The cleanliness was spot on when we arrived and the system used for the entrance key works as it can be available to others who are coming or going at differing times. All that you need is present in the villa including info for what to do and where to visit. The bedrooms are spacious and the bathrooms are great. The kitchen has all you need concerning appliances etc. The outside space is spacious and well furnished and is shaded and cool in the afternoon/evening. The buses aren’t bad and you can get a timetable from the golf centre reception. They are cheap and punctual. The 631 goes to Kouklia then onto Paphos. Ask the driver to let you know when you’re approaching the Kouklia bus stop(it’s 10mins away and up the hill off the main road) It’s a five min walk from the bus stop. Pissouri is lovely and well worth a visit. If you go out of school holidays you’ll have the pool virtually to yourself. It’s a five min walk to the village square which has various restaurants and a couple of bars but you’ll pay a bit more than at the villages. If you hire a car go to a supermarket out of the way a bit as it will be a lot cheaper. All said and done I’d definitely recommend the villa.

Winter getaway

Would highly recommend this villa. The villa was well furnished and it was a pleasure to sit on the balcony taking in the views. It's clear the owners have given great thought and care to make sure everyone's stay is the best it can be, from the detailed instructions, to the kitchen equipment and general setup. Everything was lovely and clean. It's also located in one of the best spots at Aphrodite Hills, walking distance to the amenities, near the pool and not overlooked. Stephen was very quick to come back to us if we had a query about anything. One of the best properties we have ever stayed in !

Spacious, well located, equiped, clean, ok with kids

We really loved our stay here. I was surprised how well equipped the property was! We were 6 adults and 2 kids (travel cot was available for our small one). Our parents were picked up at the airport by a taxi driver (Stephen recommended us Drivenet Cyprus / Cyprus Taxi, 6 seat car, 120 EUR), we (the rest) had a rental car (driving on the left was adrenaline). It was easy to find the Vila. Even thought, the traffic directional signs could be more consistent (Limassol=Lemesos). I appreciated that the staircase was secured with the bars (only on the top), there was also a kid chair adapter and plenty of toys and equipment to the water for the kids. The pool is super close, but it was cold (but always clean). In the kitchen we found everything that we needed and even more. There was something in every drawer in the Vila. Everyday we discovered something new. I was grateful that there were beach towels available (those take a lot of space). The bed linen and towels were changed in the middle of the stay. If we had problem, we either contacted Stephen directly or we got help via Aphrodite rentals. The shop/supermarket is about 10 minutes away always opened, little bit more expensive then in the city (we went usually shopping to Pissouri). In the village square there is really everything we needed + playground, minigolf, etc. Sadly, the "water playground" (small waterpark) is only for the hotel guest. We could not pay for the entrance even if we wanted. There was a problem with the water twice during our stay (we did not have to report it, somebody always came), lasting up to 5 h (water was not running). The closest beach is not really a beach, but more just a sea shore. We then went to Aphrodite Rock or Pissouri (closest). I liked Kourion beach. And Latsi beach (close to Akamas Peninsula) was also nice. We did not have time for Coral Bay (which should be sandy beach unlike those mentioned above). There is a bus 631 going to Aphrodite Rock and Paphos. There are no real timetables, only times when the bus leaves the two end station are available (and the total fare time. So one knows only approximately when the bus comes. From Aphrodites's Rock to Aphrodite's Hill it is around 5 minutes, 1.5 EUR per ride). There wasn't any kind of shuttle bus, and we did not find any organized day trips - but everything is available in Paphos. We visited the Paphos water park and went for turtle watching. Both great. We just loved it here!

Fabulous property, extremely well equipped

We had a wonderful week here. The villa is beautifully presented and spacious, and probably the most well equipped place we have stayed from kitchen equipment to buckets and spades! The views from either of the balconies are lovely, the six of us spent many evenings sitting outside watching the sunset. And the pool for this collection of villas is right outside the front door of this one... during our week in October we almost always had the pool completely to ourselves. The infirmation packs from the owners were really exceptional and we were impressed by the restaurants we went to based on their recommendations. All in all a great stay.

Perfect villa in great location

We recently stayed here for 2 weeks with our 2 teenage boys, and were more then happy with it. The villa is spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped Stephen and Deirdre have thought of everything. It is located in a great area within the resort, very close to the pool and within a short stroll to the village. The villa is spacious and has lovely big balconies with great views of the valley. The resort itself is attractively laid out and has a variety of restaurants , bars and a supermarket . There is also a Very nice spa . I would highly recommend This villa and the area for a very enjoyable holiday. !

Lovely villa, great location!

We really enjoyed our stay! The villa is just as good as the pictures and everything you need is provided. We have 2 young children so it was really great to have a cot/ highchair/ booster seat and plastic tableware available. The villa location is fantastic, really close to the swimming pool and facilities Aphrodite Hills has to offer. The resort itself is lovely, lots of restaurants to choose from and a playground. We ate lunch at the hotel a couple of times and used the pool/ splash park there. The spa is fantastic!! A real treat, you can use all the facilities for the day when booking a treatment. Stephen the villa owner is really helpful, he sent us lots of information before we went and was easy to contact during our stay for any queries we had. The onsite management team are also available quickly if required. We would not hesitate in recommending this villa!

Return Visit to this Beautiful Villa

Our second time back at this lovely villa in the Aphrodite Hills Resort. It is a handy 15 mins drive from Paphos airport. The villa comes with access to a private swimming pool shared with a few other villas - during our visit, there were very few people using the pool and sometimes we had it completely to ourselves. The resort has a hotel, several individual restaurants, a supermarket, a pub, a golf course, tennis courts, a fitness studio, gym and spa - all within a 5 - 10 min walk of the villa. The service was very good again - there was a welcome pack provided for our arrival (milk, bread, butter, a bottle of wine etc) and tea, coffee and other drinks available for us. The friendly Karl is available to answer questions and help out if you need a hand with any of the equipment in the villa. The amenities are excellent - this time I took a yoga class & tried a couple of spa treatments. I would recommend the class & the spa treatments. It is worth knowing that if you book a spa treatment, you have free access to the spa's sun terrace, the infinity pool, steam room, sauna etc for the rest of the day - so it's worth taking your swimming gear if you go to the spa. We went out to eat a few times, retuning to Kouklia (we enjoyed lunch at Aspris' Taverna again), Mandria and Pissouri Bay. We also ate at the Italian restaurant and the kebab place on the resort and enjoyed both. Things we like best: - the villa is easy to reach from the airport. We were in the villa 45 mins after our plane landed in Cyprus (& that included picking up checked-in bags & our hire car). - the villa is very well equipped - there's everything you can think of that you might need (a few examples: local guide books & maps, beach towels, tennis racquets, a library of paperbacks, an honesty bar). - the villa balcony overlooking the peaceful valley - (the balcony gets the sun from early morning to about 2pm ish in May). - it is easy to self cater if you want to. The villa kitchen is fully equipped and local supermarkets have very good fresh produce. - very easy access to the pool from the villa. I would definitely recommend this property to my friends. We will no doubt be back in the future.

Wonderful Villa In Prime Aphrodite Hills Location

As regular visitors to Aphrodite Hills we have discovered accommodation usually falls into two camps. It is either bought as an investment and rented out with minimal decor and extras. This property falls into the second camp, it is owned by a thoughtful family who not only care a great deal for their property but also for their guests. Every need is catered for and every question anticipated and addressed. I could not fault the attention to detail and this added greatly to our holiday. As a mum, for me it was the small things that make this villa great. Plenty of towels, cleaning materials and basic essentials provided on a use and replace basis, dishwasher, washing machine, drying rack provided with pegs, wifi working without a hitch and for me best of all three single beds in one room for the children! For the rest of the family it was the spacious airy luxurious interior, the outside eating and relaxing areas, proximity to the centre, the fabulous views... This property has it all!

A beautiful luxury villa in a prime position!

We had a lovely stay at this villa. It is conveniently located - a short drive from Paphos airport and equidistant between Paphos & Limassol. Within the Aphrodite Hills resort, the villa is conveniently situated for the swimming pool (just a short walk up some steps) - so we took full advantage of this. It is also 5 mins walk or so from the resort's shops, restaurants and supermarket. The villa itself is stylishly decorated, clean and well maintained. For anyone wanting to self-cater the kitchen is very well equipped. There are thoughtful touches from the owners - including provision of a welcome pack of basic provisions, information about places to eat (within Aphrodite Hills resort & in the surrounding villages & towns) and the provision of guide books and local maps. Customer service was excellent both from the owner prior to our departure & on-site from the very helpful & friendly Karl. I would definitely recommend this villa to friends and relatives. We used the villa as a base for a lazy and relaxed holiday - so spent most of our time at the pool and travelling into Kuklia most days for lunch in some great local tavernas. The resort of Aphrodite Hills is ideal for families, self-contained and if you wanted a really lazy holiday, you could just stay in the resort. However we enjoyed having a car and being able to head out and about a little - we particularly liked Kuklia, we also visited Pissouri Bay & Paphos.

Fantastic clean spacious accommodation

Even before we had left for Cyprus the villa's owner ( Stephen ) was so helpful emailing information about the villa and the local amenities. The map from the airport to the resort was very straightforward a bonus as we were travelling at night. The villa was even better than in the pictures. Very clean, bright and spacious with everything you needed including a welcome pack which was brilliant as we needed a cuppa and snack before we retired for the night. The whole set up was so relaxing it felt like a home from home but with all the added bonuses. The brilliant weather, waking up to beautiful sunshine and a stunning view every morning. The pool is literally half a minutes walk from the front door and it was never busy, so very peaceful and relaxing. The resort has everything on it but it is so well laid out you don't feel like you are on a resort. I could imagine myself living there, we truly had a great time. We didn't get to see all Cyprus has to offer, we hardly touched the surface even in two weeks so we are already planning when we can get back. The locals are very friendly the majority speak English. Oh and in the villa the sockets are the same as the uk. The bus system is very straight forward and good value so if you don't want to hire a car they will take you to most places. We took one to the main market in Paphos which had so many lovely gifts again very good value for money. While I went to the market my husband and son went on a fishing trip which they thoroughly enjoyed especially as they caught a fish which was cooked and eaten on board. If you are looking for a great family holiday with everything on hand or just want a base from which to travel and explore this is definitely the place. Can't wait to get back.

Beautiful villa, wonderful stay!

Beautiful spacious villa with all utilities you could ask for. Villas very clean and tidy. Quiet location but with easy access to all amenities. Views from villa stunning. Short journey from airport. Close to local shop and bars and restaurants. Having wireless internet availability was great for the children and for us adult to keep in touch with work! Swimming pool area was great to use every day. As our girls are serious swimmers Stephen and Deidre helped us with information on the local 50m swimming pool which was much appreciated, what a luxury. All information provided by Deidre and Stephen was invaluable and helped us during our stay. We also visited the local beaches and had great fun. Also went to Kouklia twice for fantastic food and Cypriot dancing in the Gabriel Restaurant. We also visited the water park in Limassol which was a whole days outing and lots of fun and good catering facilities. Visited Aphrodite's birthplace, Paphos town and castle. Big supermarkets to cater for all your needs 10 minutes away, but the local store in village square had all the essentials. We would definitely recommend this villa to anyone and we will certainly want to come back!!!!!

Wonderful Villa, wonderful stay!

I took a trip to Cyprus in April of this year with my partner and stayed in Stephens lovely Aphrodite Hills villa. I found the villa to be everything I needed and more! It is ideally situated only a short drive from Pathos airport and boasts beautiful surroundings. couldn't have asked for more form the villa itself. It was spacious, luxurious and had all the utlities we needed. The availaility of Wireless internet, apple TV and sky sports on the box is always a great plus!! The pool and pool area were also top notch.....each day started with a swim. One of the many highlights of my stay at the villa was breakfast - sitting on the balcony enjoying the peaceful and scenic surroundings whilst soaking up the sun. Within the Resort all our needs were catered for, a 5 min walk to the Supermarket had everything we needed. In the evenings there are various restaurants to choose from; we spent many an evening in the Anoi, the atmospohere was relaxed, staff were friendly and food was excellent. We also took advantage of the cocktail menu at the Intercontinental hotel, which again is only a short 5 min walk from the villa. The Intercontinental had a live house band playing which added to an already good atmosphere. During our stay we visited many of the local sights - Tombs of the Kings, Kato Paphos Archaeological Park, Aphrodite Rock, Paphos Harbour and Castle, great locations for day trips, all a short drive from the Aphrodite Hills resort. Lunch on Paphos Harbouor is another must! All in all, I cannot speak more highly of our stay at the Stephen's villa. I have no doubt I will be returning there at some point in the future!!

The villa is just great!

We chose Cyprus as our February half-term break to catch some winter sunshine. The setting of the villa in the Aphrodite Hills resort is picture-perfect. There are two balconies with wonderful views of the countryside; the sea can be seen sparkling in the distance. An easy 20 minutes drive from Paphos airport. The villa is very well appointed and is spacious, airy and bright. Wonderful picture windows from the sitting room overlook the ravine. Spotlessly clean throughout and with ample space for our family of 4 (children aged 8 and 10). Breakfast on the large, sunny balcony was a great way to start each day. Stephen and Deidre provided us with all the information we needed prior to departure. This included directions from the airport, details about the villa including appliance instructions, and details of favourite local restaurants. We took full advantage of the restaurant recommendations and sampled some wonderful local cooking. Gabriels's in Kouklia, a 5 minute drive away, was our favourite. The Mezze was delicious and a great introduction to Cypriot cuisine. The restaurant owners were very friendly and welcoming. Local family activities that we enjoyed included a horse-ride trail with spectacular views, family golfing on the resort's 3-hole golf course, a visit to Aphrodite's Sanctuary, a walk to the local beach and dip in the coral blue sea plus a visit to the Tomb of the Kings, where the children loved being able to explore the tombs. The small museum at Aphrodite's Sanctuary was also very child-friendly. Our son enjoyed re-telling the story of Odysseus and Cyclops's cave after spotting the picture on a sarcophagus exhibit. A good excuse to brush up on Greek mythology before your visit. We used the Intercontinental hotel's swimming pool one day because the open air pool, a stone's throw from the villa, was unfortunately closed for maintenance. It looked like a super open air pool for children when open. The local resort village, a 3 minute walk from the villa, had a Costa cafe and small supermarket which was very useful for stocking up on essentials. All in all a super half-term break. We would be very happy to return to Stephen and Deidre's villa another time. As I tap this out after returning home yesterday, the clouds are grey and rain is lashing against the windows. Relaxing over breakfast on a sunny balcony with wonderful views seems a world away...

Wonderful stay in Cyprus

The villa is in a peaceful spot overlooking a beautiful ravine with ample seating on both terraces. Just 5 mins walk to all facilities including the child friendly pub and a super playground. It's a short distance to the sea and a lovely coastal walk. The villa is so well kept with decent cooking facilities. 8 of us / 4 children fitted comfortably. There is even a local mobile phone. Will definitely go back.
