Honu House, unit 209 is a corner unit, in an oceanfront complex located in Honokowai, just minutes away from downtown Lahaina! This unit does NOT have A/C. Second floor condo with an ocean view and just steps from access to the ocean. The unit is freshly painted through out, new flooring in living room and bedrooms. 2 bedroom, 2 bath, fully-equipped and updated kitchen with granite countertops, TV/Wi-fi, and access to many local amenities including dining, a local farmers market, grocery stores, shopping, night life, art galleries, and fishing & snorkel rentals. Hale Ono Loa is quiet, uncrowded, and provides access to amenities such as a BBQ area, swimming pool, sundeck, shuffleboard, and on-site laundry facilities. The complex allows ocean access for swimming, snorkeling, fishing, surfing, and wildlife observation. Watch a beautiful island sunset over Lanai and Molokai from your private deck, and enjoy all that Maui has to offer from the comforts of Hono House!

A lovely stay

If you want to fall asleep to the ocean waves, this is the place. We had a wonderful, comfortable stay.

Beautiful place in a great location with a fantastic view. Perfect for watching the sunset. No direct beach access though, but you can jump in from the steps. Sandy beaches are a short walk in either direction.

Amazing property!

Awesome view, great amenities, and the property manager is very responsive. We even had sea turtles swimming right outside and whales in the morning! Would 10/10 recommend, and I will be staying here again!

Great 2BR condo with ocean front views in a nice location

Spacious condo with amazing location overlooking ocean. Situated in great location for getting around. Nicely appointed. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would go back.

Condo is right on the water. Beautiful views. Very clean unit that had everything we wanted/needed. I wish we could have stayed longer.

We enjoyed our stay at Wendy’s place and appreciated the great location and overall comfort of the space. The unit itself is well laid out and has everything you need for a relaxing stay, and Wendy was responsive and communicative overall.There were a few housekeeping issues at check-in that took a bit of time to sort out, but Wendy was attentive once we connected and worked to address them. Overall, it’s a solid place to stay, and with a bit more attention to cleaning between guests, it would be an even better experience.Thanks again, Wendy — we appreciate the hospitality.

Maui ocean front

We have stayed at the Hale Ono Loa before, so we knew what fantastic ocean views were in store for us. We spent alot of time on the lanai, watching the turtles come and go. We had a fantastic time and would recommend this condo to families, couples and anyone into water sports.

Wonderful home away from home

We absolutely loved staying in the Honu House. It lived up to its name as we definitely saw turtles. Wendy was so attentive with all of our questions and needs. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We hope to return soon.

Amazing condo!!

The views are spectacular!! I absolutely LOVED just hanging out on the lanai and watching the turtles!! It’s a great location too! We really enjoyed our stay here and have no complaints! Wendy was great with communicating back and forth! We will book again in the future! Mahalo Wendy!

The best for location, view and comfort of guests.

Property was ocean view location with all the needs for our group (4 adults). Saw whales from the lanai early one morning. It met all our needs for relaxing and preparing for each day’s adventure. Host was top notch and everything went well. Five stars is not enough! Will visit again next time in Maui!

Unbelievable at every turn!

We loved our stay. The entire place was perfect for us after 25 years together. The view was gorgeous, many full and double rainbows, waves, quiet area, safe and fun walking. Comfortable beds, perfect kitchen and beach supplies. We have no requests to make it better

Quiet Paradise

Our stay at HonuHouse was absolutely amazing. We loved our stay right on the water. Falling asleep to waves crashing right out the door was so peaceful. We arrived on Maui after spending a few days on Oahu and it was like going from the city to the country. We had busy and active to quiet and peaceful. We are grateful that we were able to stay in your piece of paradise.

Absolutely Gorgeous

This property was everything we expected and more! The home is clean and beautifully decorated. The lanai is lovely and the views amazing. The lanai feels like the balcony of a cruise ship with the ocean right beneath you. We enjoyed watching the sea turtles from the lanai and then swimming with them. It was a wonderful stay and we can’t wait to return. Would most definitely stay in this property again!

Location Location Location!

I discovered this building several years ago. This unit is situated directly on the shore line with unobstructed views to watch the sunsets, the turtles eat from the reef directly below, and the whales play not too far in the distance. The condo offers everything you need to make home cooked meals and is essentially a home away from home while you listen to the waves rock you to sleep with an ocean breeze to cool down.

Fantastic Views

Unit was a bit dated, but very clean and comfortable. The unit could not have been closer to the water! Listening to the waves while watching sunset and sunrise and while falling asleep was wonderful. We loved the amazing views and thoroughly enjoyed watching all the sea turtles while sitting on the deck.

Great views

Nice location. It was humid during our stay and was not aware there was no AC. Also if there is a $100 fee for moving the patio furniture, the table should be placed centered under the fan.

Aloha David, Yes, September and October are the warmer months. As for the no AC, sorry to tell you, but it is listed on VRBO that there is no AC and on the rental agreement I send out. So sorry you didn't read through either. The deal with the fee for moving furniture is I have had things get broke by people moving it around and not to mention scratching the floors up inside and out. I just had to paint the lanai floor before you came because of all the moving of it. So, yes I put a fee for doing that. I pride myself in wanting to make the unit look as nice as possible and try to keep the rent down so people can afford to come with their families. I'm sorry if you don't like the placement of the table on the lanai, but I do cause I don't want there to not be enough room to walk around it and end up falling into the screen doors. It's not cheap having new screen put in or the doors adjusted. Also, I have been in a lot of other units that have notices asking guests not to move furniture and stating a fee if it is. I am getting new shades for the unit to keep up on making the place look good and I don't feel the need to let people come in and do as they please with no consideration on what the upkeep on a place in a tropical location might be. I put my faith in people to respect my things and realize I am extending my place to you at a reasonable rate for being so close to the ocean. I am sorry if it is not to your standards. I have had many good reviews and never one complaining on where the table might be located or the fact that I ask my guests not to move things around. My husband and I bought our first unit in 2009. We love the location and the fact the complex is small and quiet. We decided to buy a second unit to rent out and have had such great luck that we decided when the 2 bedroom came available we had to have it. We wanted right on the ocean and you can't get any closer than this unit! We were both born raised in Salida, Colorado and have ran our crane business since 2000.

Hale Ono Loa is a very wonderful place. It is small, quiet and very well maintained. You couldn't ask to be any closer to the ocean. It always has turtles out front of the condo and during whale season you can watch the whales. It is a very unique place.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

This condo is literally over looking the water! It has an amazing, unobstructed view of the ocean, Lanai and Molokai. You can look down into the water and watch the sea turtles daily and during whale season watch the whales breaching. You have the constant sound of the waves that makes it so relaxing! This is truly the closest you can get to the ocean.
