Wonderful Hosts and Hideaway

We had a wonderful time and couldn't have asked for better hosts! The property was gorgeous and the location was perfect. Highly recommend for a stay on Vancouver Island... close to all the great activities or just staying in and combing the beach and cooking dinner. Pool table was great, internet connection was flawless too. Thank you for a fantastic vacation!

Beautiful property with great amenties

We had a really enjoyable stay, thank you. We loved paddling on the bay and lounging on the waterfront. It was so easy to enjoy our time as everything had been thought of and then some. Then home, the property and everything provided is of the highest quality, incredible well taken care of and very clean and comfortable

Summer getaway

The property is stunning and the cabin is exceptionally welll equipped. It was a perfect getaway for our family, amazing to have the kayaks and stand up paddleboards, indoor and outdoor games, and the ability to walk right over to the ocean in just a few steps. The hosts are kind and available for questions. Highly recommend!

Seahaven Cottage holiday

My family and I loved our stay at Seahaven Cottage. Michelle welcomed us right away and continued to make sure we had what we needed throughout our stay. We loved the cottage. It was just right for four people. Very special property with all the amenities needed for a peaceful relaxing vacation to enjoy the nature of Vancouver Island.

Fantastic spot

We had a very relaxing stay and enjoyed the accommodations! In addition to it being a great location and a cozy place, having stayed in many rental properties, this one stands out for its incredibly well outfitted kitchen! Sharp knives, lots of dishes, glasses etc.

Eagles,seals, otters, and herons. It was soooo peaceful

Very relaxing both at the house and down at the beach. We were so grateful that Michelle and Dan shared their little peace of heaven with us!! The best week ever!!

Absolutely perfect

Our family of 4 had the best time here! The luxurious cottage was spectacular (beautiful architecture and had everything we needed). We loved exploring the tidal pools, using the kayaks/SUP, watching wildlife (eagles, cats, otters, starfish, etc), and relaxing while watching the beautiful sunsets. We loved it so much, we almost want to keep it as our secret!

This property was more than we could have imagined! The property is absolutely gorgeous and has everything you need. The owners were fabulous. We didn’t even want to leave to discover the rest of the island. Cannot wait to rent this property again!

The perfect Vancouver Island spot!

My wife and I had high expectations coming in, but this cabin exceeded all we imagined. The location was ideal for exploring the island, the cabin itself was impeccably clean and stocked with anything you’d ever need, Michelle was responsive and friendly as can be, and the patio facing the Bay became our nightly ritual as we would down every night. I can’t imagine finding a better spot.

Magical place

I can’t say enough about how beautiful this property is! It was perfect for our Girls relaxation vacation. It was a amazing combination of beach and forest. But as wonderful as the property is it was the hosts that made it memorable. Michelle has outfitted the cabin with everything you could want or need. She has great insight into things to do around the area and answered any questions we had. She was so supportive when we had a family emergency during our stay, and went above and beyond when the community had a power outage. We can hardly wait for the next time we visit!

Amazing Place

Our family of four had an amazing stay at Seahaven Lodge. As nice as the pictures in the posting are, they don’t do the lodge and overall property justice. The accommodations and setting are absolutely stunning. The lodge was very clean, comfortable and well appointed. The ocean is just steps away. We enjoyed several dinners down at the beach patio, and the kids had a blast beach-combing around the bay. Michelle and Dan are very friendly and accommodating - great hosts. We’ll definitely be coming back to this perfect place.

Definitely a Sanctuary

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Seahaven Sanctuary. It was very private and quiet. The home was very well decorated and comfortable. We had all the conveniences of home. We really enjoyed the bay, walking, the magnificent trees and foliage around the house. The property is located very close to restaurants, shopping, more beaches, etc. Michelle was always quick to respond to any questions we had, and was very good about making sure that we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. We would definitely return another time.

Couldn't have had a more relaxing stay!

We had an absolutely wonderful time. The property was beautiful and immaculate, set in the most peaceful surroundings imaginable. If only we had been able to stay for longer to enjoy all of the amenities! The hosts were amazing. Not only did they respond immediately to any questions, but also pro-actively addressed our needs. For example, on the first day my wife was struggling a bit to arrange the umbrellas on the patio as the sun went lower, on the second day they had put another screen there that allowed us to sit there comfortably for a few extra hours. Loved the wildlife too! Bald eagles nesting overhead, a seal popped out during a kayaking excursions, and met some friendly deer in the garden.

Sanctuary

Our plans changed and we needed to book something on Vancouver Island later than I usually would. Fortunately, this wonderful property was still available. If you are lucky enough to have your dates available, book it now. Secluded, quiet, and in an idyllic setting, this is the perfect base for exploring the island, or just decompressing on property. A few steps from the cabin is a waterfront patio all to yourself, providing a tranquil place to start and end the day. The cabin itself is beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, and well stocked. The king bed is comfortable. The linens plush. You couldn't possibly use all the towels provided. The hostess is fantastic: friendly and informative, but is invisible unless you need something. We had a great time here, and if we return, we'll book this property again.

It Was the Best Ever!

The pictures on Vrbo do not do The Rustic West justice. I was blown over when I opened the door. Not only was just as the pictures protrayed, it was so much more. The attention to detail was everywhere. All of the furnishings were perfect and the small things that make a house a home were everywhere. It was full of small treasures that aren't added to most rentals. Michelle and Dan are wonderful hosts. The location in the woods beside the water was refreshing and relaxing. It is located close enough to Parksville to be convienient yet seculed and private. Our only complaint is that we didn't plan to stay longer.

Idyllic Location, View, & Hosts

From pre-arrival to departure, this was a dream getaway to a luxurious property that has all you could dream of and more! The kitchen was well equipped with far more than ever seen at other vacation properties. There was ease of access and parking. The ability to see both the beach/bay and mountains among the beautiful trees was breathtaking. We already plan on making this an annual trip (and coming from Texas in the US was an adventure in itself so this home must be absolutely amazing to want to do this annually)! Michelle was the ultimate hostess and patient even with the most mundane of questions. B.C. is absolutely awe-inspiring on its own, but venturing to Nanoose Bay, this property in particular is what made our trip what it was - spectacular. I literally cried that we had to leave because it was just the serene setting I had needed. A week was not nearly long enough!

A little piece of paradise

Even the driveway leading to this amazing lodge is magical and will stay etched in your memory like every other part of your experience staying there. The accommodation is stunningly decorated with incredible care being invested in every detail. It is very well equipped with absolutely everything you could need during your stay. If the lodge doesn't take your breath away, the view most certainly will. There is a very comfortable outdoor seating area right on the water where you can enjoy a meal or simply take in the stunning sunsets. It is beyond peaceful. They also have an array of boats for your use so you can explore the bay or beyond. My only regret about staying here is that we didn't spend more time with the amazing hosts! They are such wonderful people and I feel like I could chat and laugh with them for months. Basically stop scrolling trying to find where to stay... just doesn't get better than this:) Thank you so so much Michelle and Dan! We truly hope our paths cross again:)

Spectacular and Peaceful Gem

Our stay at Seahaven was absolutely perfect. We couldn’t have asked for more. It was extremely clean, well stocked with everything you would need or want and more. The Oceanside sitting area was peaceful and relaxing with spectacular sunsets. We enjoyed long walks following the shoreline and the use of the canoes, kayaks and paddle boards. Thanks to Michelle for being a truly amazing host!

Paradise Found

Accomodations and beachfront location were spectacular! Perfect spot to unwind and chill with the family and Michelle was an excellent host! Use of the kayaks and SUPS and the vests saved us a lot of hauling!

Cozy get-away

This property is absolutely stunning inside and all around! the owners did amazing work with making the place feel cozy, relaxing, and private. Overall, everything was really clean and the kitchen comes fully stocked so cooking big meals was made easy. the location is perfect.

Unglaublich schöne Unterkunft

Wir können diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Das Haus ist geräumig, äußerst sauber, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und die Ausstattung ist außergewöhnlich. Der Außenbereich ist wirklich wunderschön. Es werden Kajaks, Kanus, SUPs uvm. nebst Ausrüstung bereitgestellt. Der Sonnenuntergang ist traumhaft. Wir haben unsere Zeit sehr genossen und werden sicher wiederkommen.
