We had a great time at Hope's place. The view of Lake Nacimiento was beautiful and we had a wonderful time seeing deer out the back door. The proximity to the lake was a huge bonus and the house was well stocked with things we needed. Thanks so much!

Great location close to marina and launch ramp. Worked great for large family. Nanny suite in garage could have been cleaner. Will try to stay there again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House was perfect for our group. Few minute drive to the launch ramp and the store near heritage. Only complaint was the water pressure for the entire house, it was difficult to shower and bath the kids with such low water pressure. Other wise it was great, we would definitely stay there again!

Great Get Away

Best lake house

We stayed at Hopes Place with family and friends and went to the lake everyday. The house had everything we needed and plenty of place for people to sleep. The views were amazing and the property was really private. We usually rent at Oak shores but we got sick of dealing with rowdy neighbors and so many obstacles for parking our boat and trailer and cars! hopes place is so easy to access and you don’t have to deal with rowdy people. We are staying there again this weekend. Absolutely recommend this place to everyone. The property managers were so great to deal with, and easy to contact!

Lovely stay, but needs some improvements.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Lovely house and very roomy for everyone to feel comfortable with 12 people with plenty of beds. Upon arrival, home owner came to check the drinking water tank which was empty and never came back with a new one. The house is on a well system so plan on bringing plenty of water. There is zero water pressure throughout the house and the shower and kitchen sink trickle. It gets worst of 2 or more water sources are running at the same time. Cell service is poor due to the area which is understandable however, the WI-FI provided at the house is not good. When using any of the apps on the TV it is very pixilated and doesn’t load. Y

Third Stay...

This was our third visit to Lake Nacimiento in the least six or seven years. We always stay at Hope's Place - it's comfortable, beautifully maintained, and the location is unbeatable. Perched all by itself on a bluff overlooking the dam, it's remarkably private and quiet yet just a five minute drive to either the marina or to the little village where there's an excellent grocery store, a gas station and a lively pizza joint. The marina offers for rent about a dozen brand new and very fancy deck boats (not cheap...). We also highly recommend the "Friends of Fred Wakeboarding School" if you want to do some wakeboarding - also not cheap, but a wonderful experience.

Lovely time at the lake

Our family had a great time taking in the views and playing the various games available at the house. We even saw a bald eagle hanging out in a tree on the ridge. On our drives around the area, we also saw a golden eagle, more bald eagles, prarie falcons, tule elk, jackrabbit, and wild boar, so the nature viewing was fantastic. The house was very comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed.

Nice Views and Outdoor Fun.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Comfortable house with plenty of space for our party of 5, we even used the guest room off the garage. Nice views, fun outdoor games and great patio space. The internet could be better, we all used our hotspots periodically because download speeds were incredibly slow---made it nearly impossible to stream a movie.As for the water pressure in the kitchen---the worst ever. Cleaning up after making a meal was torture. The faucet produces a tiny trickle of water. My recommendation on cooking a meal---don't!

Great place for all ages

We all enjoyed our stay at Hope's place! The house has everything you need plus so much more. The kids loved the game room and bikes. The views were great and it was so serene. We had a family of deer visit every evening we were there. Lake and store were close by. It was a great vacation!

Views outside and a nice escape.Seems like linens are professionally cleaned, which is a major bonus.Location is a ways out from Paso, and cell/internet service is a bit limited. Use this as a place to connect with family and friends who are with you. Property is on a well, so you’ll need to limit water usage, but this is always a good practice.

Hilltop house for family gathering

We enjoyed our stay here - two families totaling 4 adults and 7 kids, aged 4-14. The kitchen has just about every item you could imagine (including an "Evil Villain Lair", ha! = locked supply closet). The hilltop location was fun for the morning mist, sunset and stars! I only wish it had been a warmer month to sit out and stare at the stars longer... The game room part isn't heated, but the kids didn't care. Overall, it met our needs well, and the hosts were super friendly when we contacted them with a question. If we come to stay in this area again, we would definitely check to see if this house was available.
