While you enjoy your stay in the jazz capital of the world, you’ll be conveniently located steps from the vibrant shopping, dining and entertainment of Magazine St, as well as famous cafes, bistros and music clubs on Bourbon Street. You will be literally less than one minute away from the French Quarter.

If you want to try some of the best NOLA has to offer when it comes to food, you can’t miss the local hot spot Ruby Slipper Cafe, located right next door to your condo. With over 3000 5-star reviews of their amazing food, this is a must-visit place while you are here. Make sure to try those amazing bisquettes, we promise you’ll never taste anything quite like it. Other options include crowd favorites like Chophouse New Orleans, The Tasting Room, Lilly’s Café and more, as well as Starbucks located in Sheraton Hotel, right next to your condo.

If you are up for a fun night out, Harrah's New Orleans is a casino located 2-minute walking distance from your condo. It is a 115,000 sq ft casino with approximately 2,100 slot machines, over 90 table games and a poker room. There are several places to eat ranging from buffet style to fine dining.

Merchant Lofts are also conveniently located in the Business District of New Orleans, making it only a 3-minute walking distance to the convention center.

Mercedes-Benz Superdome is 2.4 miles from the property. The nearest airport Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport is 14 miles away. Nearby parks include Commons Park, Lafayette Square and Woldenberg Park. There are grocery stores and Canal Place shopping mall all within walking distance or a short drive away.

Parking
There is no parking at the property. But you can find paid parking nearby.

• Premium Parking P 346 – 2 minutes walking distance - prices vary from day to day, typically it's $30-35/night
• Street parking paid - Central Business District and Warehouse District are $3.00 an hour. Parking meter rates are $2.00 an hour everywhere else in the city of New Orleans. Operating hours for the meters are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday-Saturday. Parking is prohibited at meters in designated rush hour zones from 7 a.m. - 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. Please read the meters before you park! Also, know that broken meters are not free passes. They are technically off-limits and could land you a ticket!
Things to know
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE ROOFTOP IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION

• We may use video surveillance in public areas.
• The number of overnight guests cannot exceed the maximum occupancy. Extra guests and visitors are not permitted without management consent. Violators will be charged $500 fine.
• The building is located on a bustling street, which can be disturbing in the evenings.
• For an additional fee, daily housekeeping services are available upon your request.
• The property is very bright due to the skylight.
House rules
• NO SMOKING in unit/house as well as the balcony. Any violation of the smoking policy will incur a $250.00 fine plus the cleaning costs necessary to remove smoke odors from the unit/house and/or linens.
• Pets are not allowed. Violation of our pet policy may result in a $500 plus cleaning expenses. We encourage guests with service animals to contact us before their stay.
• Quiet hours are observed from 9pm-8am. Violators will be charged a $200 fine.
• Please note: We are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, as well as stolen or damaged items that occur while on the premises, its facilities or parking lots.
• Traveler must be at least 21 years of age to make a reservation.
• State Identification Card or Driver License copy will be requested upon booking.
• Local resident restrictions apply. Guests residing within a 100-mile radius are required to contact the host before booking.
• House parties and illegal substances are strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate eviction. Violators will be charged $500 fine
• For same day late check-ins, you need to get the host's approval before booking.

Great location but poorly managed

First the good. The unit was clean and the location was definitely in the middle of the action. The big TV with Roku was nice. Now the bad. The entry door was broken. I mean sagging off the upper hinge. Thank god I happen to be 6’2” and was able lift it and to force it open and shut. I contacted management, which knew off the problem but rented ithe unit anyway, with no warning to the renter. An older couple or an even a group of normal-sized adult woman would have arrived and found it unusable. Even if one ignores the broken door, the lack of attention to detail was inexcusable. Examples: There’s a closet, but no hangers; there’s a spice rack but no measuring cups; there’s an oven but no hot pads; the inside handle on the shower door is missing so it can’t be easily closed; the TV remote’s batteries were dead; there’s toilet paper but no Kleenex. I could go on, but you get the picture. Won’t be coming back.

Pros and cons

Cons: Front door sticks bad Terrible water pressure in shower Says netfix but no wifi connection on TV and most other channels have poor reception (but we didn't come to NOLA to watch TV) No laundry soap provided Pros: Location, location, location Easy walk to Jackson Square, French Market, Bourbon Street, and everything in the French Quarter.

Repairs Needed

First condo had damaged furniture. Easy change though. Second condo had a leaky coffee maker and a leaky dishwasher. Toilet was not securely bolted to the floor. Furniture very limited. IT was fine for a short stay but anything longer would not have been comfortable.

Great place in the heart of the NOLA

Great place to stay! Third time here and this is the best place we have stayed. So close to everything and spacious condo. Very clean and comfortable. Will definitely be back.

Stay near French Quarter

The outstanding thing about this place is the location. It’s a block across Canal St from the French Quarter. It was a short walk the opposite direction to the WWII museum (which is not to be missed). And the Ruby Slipper is directly across the street for an excellent breakfast/brunch.

Uncomfortable

Every piece of furniture in the unit is incredibly uncomfortable. The couch is near falling apart and the bed offers little support. Dishes in the cabinet were dirty and the floors needed to be cleaned. Magazine St. is bumping all hours of the night so come prepared with your ear plugs and eyes mask if you choose to stay here. The location is a perk being that it’s in the French Quarter, within walking distance to tourist hot spots, but overall I was disappointed with the amenities.

Accomodating customer service

The Merchant Loft was very convenient to everything we wanted to see in New Orleans. We were able to walk to almost every attraction. The Lofts are nicely decorated, equipped, and comfortable. The building was very clean and we felt very safe and secure. There is a parking garage adjacent to the Loft building. Our second floor loft had a bedroom on the street side which was very loud and busy most of the night and early morning of our first night stay. We called the next morning and asked if we could switch to another apartment. They were very accommodating and allowed us to move to an apartment with a bedroom without windows which was much quieter. Shout out to Sergio! We really enjoyed our stay at the Merchant Lofts. We would stay there again if we ever return to New Orleans.
