Quiet Cabin Up North 🌊☀️

This clean and well maintained rustic cabin is a great place to get away from the busy world. It sleeps 9 PEOPLE (10 counting the roll away bed in the closet) , so it is perfect for families!

We are across the street from Long Lake (with access down the road) which is just outside of Hale, Michigan. Go explore the sand dunes, grab a bite to eat from Main Street Pizza and finish it off with a large scoop of ice-cream from Victorian Cafe. It is also 15 minutes from Largo Springs, Lumberman's Monument, and the sand dunes. It is aso close to Tawas and Oscoda Beach! Whether you are looking to rent a boat and enjoy a few days on the water, lounge around and cook over the fire, or explore the area on a hiking expedition, this place has all that you are looking for on your getaway.

You are encouraged to unplug and unwind here. The real world will be there when you return.

We very much enjoyed our stay, from coffee and breakfast on the cozy porch to watching the deer in the back as we prepared for a campfire! It’s close to the beaches in Oscoda, and East Tawas, Round and Sand Lake , areas we enjoy and Island Lake where we once enjoyed a family cottage! The cottage was clean and inviting! Extra special that our two dogs could stay also!

We didn't have a bit of problem. User issues but check-in was easy. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and the Wi-Fi was easy to log into. We really didn't have a problem finding the house either. It was so convenient, only 30 minutes away, to get to Huron Lake. It was so peaceful and that is all we asked for when renting the house. Thank you so much for giving us great information and directions to get to the house.Mary Ann

Adorable cottage!

Clean home with thoughtful touches all over. All 7 of us slept well on comfortable beds. Very responsive hosts from booking to check out process. We enjoyed the fire pit a couple nights and the sweet deer that kept watch.

Hunting cabin comings and goings

Our group had one night when we had 4 adults and 1 teen. We had three nights with three adults. Three nights had two adults and one adult stayed alone for three nights. Everyone commented on how this was the perfect arrangement for a group of deer hunters. The hosts were very accommodating and even provided UTube TV so we could enjoy live tv when weren’t hunting. Unfortunately, no deer, but that’s on us and not the hosts.

Long lake cottage

Mattress kept slipping off the box spring in front br. Other than that everything was golden. Host very attentive to any of our concerns. Definitely nice place and nice area.

Great for a quiet getaway to connect with nature

The property was comfortable with several bathrooms, a kitchen, and a lounge area. There was a patio area, but I didn't love that there was a camera on the patio. The location was right across the street from the lake and there were several good restaurants & a grocery store not to far away. Overall great for a quiet weekend getaway and lots of opportunities to hike or go canoeing! Highly recommend the au sable river for canoeing!

The property is nice. We will need to rig something if we want to hang deer. The trees have no low limbs. Disappointed in the lack of live tv.

Wonderful

Cabin among the trees! Quiet. Across the street from long lake which has a public beach access just down the road. Close to all kinds of outdoor nature things to do! Cabin has everything you need. I plan on staying there again.

Weekend away

This is a perfect place for me and my family. We have 3 kids 20, 25 and 26 and a grandson 7wks old. They all brought friends plus me and my husband. It’s roomy and clean. We have other family nearby on the water so for us it works out. We go to Hale at least once a year and have been here twice and love it.
