This vacation home has so much charm you will need to come back, again and again, to take it all in. Two (2) private boat docks, nice size yard with deck and lawn, master suite with sofa, game table, balcony, 85inch flat screen TV for movie night. Two (2) bedrooms downstairs with seating areas. Jetted tub in bathroom, fireplace in the bedroom, wood-burning stove in the family room, washer and dryer, sheets, towels, Central heat and air, Out door dining table for 6, 2 lounge chairs and fire pit.

Wonderful property!

We had a small family gathering for the holidays, and it was just perfect. The home was large and comfortable, with lovely views of the water. We heard owls and coyotes nearby! Check in and out were a breeze. Would definitely recommend. One item - if you're not used to remote country roads, make sure to arrive during daylight hours - it's DARK out there!

Delta Diversion

Winter vacations in the Bay Area can be difficult to judge weatherwise. We got very lucky that the 2 full days were beautifully clear and mild after a very wet check-in day. We came to enjoy a Thanksgiving retreat before the actually Thanksgiving holiday crush. The house and surroundings are very nice. We did want to do some cooking using the oven and found that were only 2 loaf pans for oven cooking. The stove top has 2 full sets of pots and pans, which was more than enough. Also, not sure what was happening with the television, but it kept "rebuffering" every time we wanted to watch something, so long pauses in viewing, and that became frustrating. I'm sure these are simple fixes. Love this house and hope to come again.

Delta Boat Trip

Fabulous location; outstanding property. Launched our boat at Vieira's resort; it was a 5 minute boat ride to the house. Would definitely stay again.

Magical Island Stay

4 Adults and 2 children visited one day. Excellent dock for fishing. Nice outdoor area to enjoy the river and watch ships go by. Beds very comfy and excellent air conditioning since the days were hot. The kitchen is small but functions well. Fun to walk around the island with friendly neighbors chatting or giving a wave

Had another terrific stay

I am not sure if this is the 5th or 6th year we have rented this house, but this year we rented the house for 10 days and over that time had family and friends visit and all had a fabulous time. This property is so unique, and a real positive is the location on the Old Sacramento River and the dock. Of particular apeal is the access to the river, as we and our friends are active boaters. This is a tidal area, and at low tide the dock is in pretty shallow, but perfect for kayaking, etc. We brought out sailboat and anchored right off the house, and used a dinghy to ferry ourselves back and forth. Gina as always was fabulous, and always available when I needed her.

Perfect place for boat and annual vacation

Stayed a week with my family costing of myself, wife, 3 adult daughters, son in law, and dogs. Enjoyed boat dock and the river. Particularly like the added large fender to the dock. We have stayed here for many years and plan to return.

Great stay cation

We wanted a couple of nights to have a little r&r, only thing that was a little annoying was the neighbor was have having tractor work that started at 7 am and went till 2-3 pm. Other than that the house was amazing great location. Great fishing and dinner on the patio was great!

Family fun

Our first time staying on the Sacramento River and what a great time it was. The boating, fishing and location was amazing. The had just about every thing you need and the AC kept up on those 100 degree days we were there. If you’re bringing your boat make sure to bring an extra fender, or two, not everyone on the river follow the No Wake rules. And keep in mind the dock gets very low at low tide. Thank you Gina for being a great host and sharing your home with us,

Great location and amenities

This was a beautiful property with a private waterfront yard & personal dock. We loved everything about it and hope to return during striper fishing season.

Great place, some things to know

We have stayed here many times over the years and really love it. This time there were some differences that were disappointing. They no longer provide paper towels, wish we knew that up front. Missing hand soap in the upstairs bath. Knives were all very dull. No wine bottle opener. These are small things but still a bummer. As others have mentioned, amazing tree in the backyard is dead. The silt has really built up near the dock, so at low tide it was too shallow to dock the boat without it getting stuck in the mud, no bueno. You’ll need to be out on the river at low tide, or be prepared to anchor your boat away from the dock at that time. With all that, we will still stay here again, we will just be better prepared. The host is very responsive and accommodating. Hopefully the minor issues will be resolved before our next stay.

Charming river house

We loved every second of our stay! Gina was always available if we needed her. The house was perfect and very clean compared to other properties and resorts we stayed with in the Delta. The backyard was amazing and it was so helpful to have our own dock for our boat. We can’t wait to book this house again!

Great spot on the delta

We loved this house. Great location, nice quite area. Launched boat just across the river. Owner was very quick to any question. The home is very comfortable. And well stocked. Perfect for a casual family get away. We would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing but Minor Issues

The view from the living room, backyard and upstairs can’t be beat. There is some traffic noise from hwy 160 across the water and from construction next door. The tree in the backyard as pictured is green, shady and lovely but now, unfortunately, it is dead and possibly a hazard in the future. We stayed in June and not a leaf or bud on it. There is no hot tub. The fire pit is not operational. I saw the grill but we never needed it. Please be aware you will need to bring basics- there was no hand soap in 1 bathroom or in the kitchen. Only 3/4 roll of paper towels, 1 back up roll of tp in each bathroom. In downstairs bathroom the vanity/mirror is different than pictured. Three lights above the vanity- 2 of the bulbs were out and overhead bulb on vent was out. Downstairs bathroom windows do not lock. Grab bar left on the window sill by tub but not secured to anything. In the kitchen there was no foil, plastic wrap (most places there are at least partial rolls) and only one used sponge. There is nowhere to store your unrefrigerated food except the kitchen counter thereby using up prep space. Knives were good and sharp. Cutting boards were plastic and well worn. Not a cooks kitchen but nice that it is part of the open concept. Make sure you bring your own water for drinking and cooking. Even a Brita won’t help the tap water. This is common issue in the area.

Our recent stay at this VRBO property was an absolute delight, especially for someone who appreciates a combination of simplicity and the finer things in life. The standout feature? The serene river view. It was a nostalgic throwback to the peaceful, unspoiled nature scenes we don't see enough of these days. Waking up to the gentle sound of the river and nature was a refreshing escape from the daily grind. Access to the water was effortless. It was like stepping into a different world where time slowed down, allowing us to enjoy leisurely strolls and quiet moments together by the river's edge. And for those moments when we wanted to use our phones or the provided large televisions, WiFi and satellite television was provided and ready to go. The host provided clear and straightforward directions, making everything hassle-free – a welcome perk that cannot go without mention. Communication with the owner was refreshingly direct and genuine. Their responsiveness and attentiveness made us feel valued and taken care of. The cleanliness of the property was impeccable. It’s evident that the owners take great pride in maintaining their space, ensuring every corner was spotless and inviting. As for the uniqueness of the location, it's a rare find. This place offers a peaceful retreat from the usual tourist-heavy spots, yet still retains that quintessential Northern California appeal. This place must be experienced to fully appreciate!
