Another wonderful stay!

We stay at the Elegant Getaway cabin in Tahoe City at least twice a year and each time it feels like our home away from home! The cabin is always clean, it has all the amenities we need during our stay, and it has a charm that makes each day magical. The staff is always super accommodating and they make sure to provide an excellent service. My husband and I, and our dog Grizzly, thoroughly enjoy the proximity to hiking trails, the breathtaking view of Lake Tahoe from the top of the hill, and the walking distance to the bike trails that connect so many tourists attractions around the area. Grocery stores, pet supply stores, restaurants and the local museum are just a couple minutes drive! The neighborhood is quiet, and the fenced in backyard is a plus for us as we love to let our dog sniff and explore freely. We love relaxing by the fireplace at the end of an adventurous day, play some poker in the loft during rainy afternoons, and wake up to the filtered views of the glittering Lake Tahoe. We already miss. It, and can't wait to come back!

Wonderful Home and Great Service from Tahoe Rentals

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Elegant Getaway in Tahoe City. The home was extremely comfortable, very clean, and thoughtfully appointed for a very relaxing visit. The kitchen was well equipped and had all the essentials, and then some, for cooking at home. The beds were comfortable! The location is perfect and it is in a very walkable and safe neighborhood. It was nice to be able to have my dogs with me on vacation and having the fenced in yard was quite handy. The service and attention I received from everyone at Tahoe Rental Company was stellar! They were very a professional and responsive team. Sydney, Nicole, and Evan were especially helpful. I would happily return next year. Thank you! Francesca

Nice home in good location

Great location in West Lake. Home was spacious and well appointed, perfect place to stay with a family.

Another magical stay!

My husband and stayed at your cabin several times before, and it's always our first choice when looking to book a stay in the Tahoe City area. The house is spacious, and it has everything you need to cook at home, or relax and unwind after a day of hiking, or swimming. The fenced backyard is a plus for us! We have a big dog and it's very easy to take him out there and let him play when we don't want to go out. The location of the cabin is perfect! Really close to forest trails that you can wonder on for hours, but it's also just a walk away (or a short drive) to the grocery store, pet store, bakery, or downtown Tahoe City - where they have plenty of pubs and restaurants, and every shopping opportunity you might want. Thank you again for a wonderful stay! We'll be back in the fall!

beautiful home, close to skiing

Well stocked kitchen, short walk to a meadow with an amazing view of the lake, close to Alpine Meadows and Tahoe Palisades for skiing. Perfect vacation home!

The house is lovely and comfortable, the property management company was great! The deck is so lovely we wish the back deck had a larger table with more chairs. If the home had private beach access and a hot tub it would certainly become our go to rental

Great dog friendly home!

We loved this rental! It was perfect for our family of four and border collie pup. Loved the big windows, outdoor deck and yard. Location was perfect and close to many dog friendly beaches. Would stay there again for sure!

Easy drive to Alpine Meadows for skiing. Great walk up the hill to open space and spectacular views of Lake Tahoe.

This house is amazing. I would leave there in a heartbeat. The location is close to a lot of great amenities including two trailheads. There is a fully fenced yard which is awesome if you have a dog that needs to outdoor space. Ours really loved the back deck and the proximity to swimming and trails. This is by far my favoritest place to stay in Tahoe. Cannot say enough good things about it.

Great house

This house is as pictured on the website, but exceeded expectations. The great room is well laid out, very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and clean. The bedrooms are also clean and beds comfortable. We would come again!

Dog Friendly Lovely Home

We enjoyed our stay at this wonderful home in Tahoe City. It allowed us to enjoy our dog , close friends, and their grandchild in a cozy and beautiful forest setting. We will be back! With much gratitude, we write this review.

Great Thanksgiving Holiday

The place was great. I have been going up to Lake Tahoe for the last 3 Thanksgiving Holidays and this place was perfect for my family. The kids enjoyed the area for sledding in the snow. Great location. The only thing I would suggest is to keep an eye on the weather. The place is up hill so if there is a lot of snow, as there was this year I would recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Would defiantly stay again.

Loved this place!

This was the perfect location, size, and layout for our Tahoe vacation. It is attractively and comfortably appointed, clean, organized, and the staff is super responsive. A few minor requests: carpeting probably really needs deep cleaning, a few reading lamps in the main living room, and it would be great to be able to get to the back yard from the deck or within the house. (Need to go outside to get to fenced in yard.) Thank you for the comfortable and easy vacation!

Evacuee paradise

I found this lovely cabin on VRBO on the day that we needed to evacuate the Kincade fire in Sonoma County. The property manager was super helpful, allowed us to come a day early, and made sure we had everything we needed. Great neighborhood, great yard for the dog, lovely view of Lake Tahoe from the top of the street, warm and comfortable. Everything we needed. We hope to return under better circumstances!

Stay here a year ago, loved the cabin, so I stayed here again

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed here Oct 2020, and loved the cabin. So we came back to Tahoe in Oct 2021 and stayed here again. It snowed the 2nd day and the local area lost the internet for most of the day, but we found their Tivo (remember that thing) with shows recorded on their Tivo hard drive.

Beautiful home in a gorgeous location

My wife, dog, and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful and clean. The location was perfect: it was a short walk to everything we needed, including trails that led to the Tahoe Rim Trail. The backyard was perfect for our dog. We received over 2 feet of snow in one night and the snow removal service of the neighborhood was on top of things. The property manager was quick and courteous to all our inquiries. No complaints and we would happily recommend this location and the property manager to anyone.
