The property is a singularly unique, rustic, and well-appointed bunkhouse with a comfortable bed, all necessary kitchen items and essential creature comforts needed for a real escape from the city. It is definitely a working ranch that is basically off-the-grid. You will get visits from three dogs (one may setup shop outside your door), a cat, a pot-bellied pig, three horses, a few cows, a rooster and chickens. There is a terrific mountain view from the kitchen table and pleasant morning breezes on the porch. We found decent hiking nearby and access to dip our feet in the Gila River which is short walk from the property. A couple things that you need to know:
- You will need to setup your cell for wi-fi calling as there is limited cellular coverage. (We had Verizon)
- You may see a cute mouse in the knife drawer.
- You may find bee bits in the cold water if there is a water leak in the main water tank and the water level is low.
- There is a workshop off the back of the bunkhouse
- There is a fence around the porch and a more overgrowth near the river then in the Vrbo pictures.
- My $125 deposit that was returned in full in 2 weeks.
If you are looking for special, rural, out-of- the-way gem - like we were - you’ll have a blast. #Ranchlife
