Bottom floor guest house offering two bedrooms, 1 bath, full kitchen and living room. Master features Queen bed, guest bedroom offers two twin beds. Living room has comfy couch with flat screen television. Kitchen with double sink, smooth service stove, built in microwave and fridge. Enjoy the dock and boat ramp, fire pit, 2 kayaks, 2 bicycles, and charcoal grill. Walking distance to Back Water Fins, grill and bar. Sit on the porch and read a book or cast a line. Watch the dolphins and otters cruise by! Beautiful sunrises! Perfect for a weekend get-a-way or scalloping, or snowbirds! Come for a weekend or stay for a while. We are off the beaten path and a rare find anymore in Florida. Just the 5 mile drive down Ozello Trail is something to see. Kingfishers, Egrets, Eagles, Heron's and so many more native birds can be seen on just the drive down! It's old Florida living, the way it used to be. There is no washer and dryer but the laundry mat is only right up the road. We don't want you doing laundry while your here! Take it home with you and enjoy the stay. Enjoy one of the many tiki huts. Play your music, watch a football game. Bring a cooler of beer and sit on the dock or walk next door and enjoy lunch or fresh shrimp or blue crab locally caught! We look forward to seeing you soon. Upstairs is not included in rental as owner lives upstairs but is hardly ever there and as cool as can be. Play your music, make a fire, smoke a cigar and don't worry about a care in the world.

This was by far one of my favorite stays of all time! I would give 10 stars if possible. The place was not only adorable and well stocked with every comfort you need, but our host went above and beyond to make aure my visiting family had everything we needed. Its the perfect location if you want to be a little out of town but walking distance to a great bar. Would return anytime. Thank you for having us!

KATHI WAS INCREDIBLE! She was welcoming and made the place feel like home. The property was not only beautiful, but perfectly tucked away for privacy and yet close to memorable local gems. Will be back soon!

We were a party of 2 married couples in our 50's. As other guests have stated, the house is very musty smelling. One of our group already had issues with air quality because of their health. There was no way to mitigate the smell short of leaving the windows open. The shower head was loose and sprayed water all over the sink. I did my best to tighten it. The shower did not drain for the first person. We found a plunger and it worked after that. The bathroom had a switch for lights and 1 for fan. The fan switch was filthy. On the side of the toilet by the handle was also filthy. In one of the bedrooms there used to be a ceiling fan. They did cover the electrical box but there was still a hole next to it in the ceiling. The bedding did not smell freshly laundered. The railng on the dock was so fatigued when I leaned against it, it bent all the way down and I about fell in. The grounds were not orderly. The tiki bar is cool however it is also in a state of disrepair. I immediately emailed the owner of all the issues. We had booked a 4 night stay. We asked for a refund minus one day. We received a partial refund PLUS her cleaning fee! If you're guys looking to fish and drink you'll probably love it. The location is beautiful. We even saw dolphins in the river. The property inside and out just needs some updating and better cleaning.

We rented this place for my husband's 60th birthday. The house was even better than expeted. The location perfect: right on the water so we could fish and close to many springs for paddling. Kathy was very welcoming and did enjoyed their company around the fire. It was the perfect geteway and i am sure we will be back!

Ozello Cottage is the coolest vacation home with the coolest host! Everything about the place exceeded our expectations. The pictures absolutely do not do it justice, you simply must go yourself!!!

Very clean kitchen nice appliances. We didn’t really use any of them except the coffee maker, which worked very well. If you wanna secluded clean, comfortable basic accommodations with a great view this is a great place.

Just the getaway I wanted. Nothing too fancy, but super relaxing and fun. We had the cool benefit of a peacock on property hanging out with us. If you stay there give him a bit of banana for me.

The most unique place we have ever stayed. Truly a hidden gem! Enjoyed sunset and outstanding food at Peck’s, a beautiful fire, and coffee outside with the peacock and a friendly cat. We will absolutely be back here as much as we can.

Cute and well equipped except no hairdryer ( especially for a fishing location) . Great location on the water with great views . Restaurant nearby and Marina abd bait shop within walking distance . Outside tiki bar great but needs cleaning up a little..plenty of outdoors chairs for relaxing and fire out for cooler weather. Ample parking and easy check in .

Charming Ozello home with water access and comfortable accommodations. Perfect spot to enjoy nature and serenity. Especially enjoyed all the lounge chairs and shady areas to relax outside. Could hear the live music at Backfins. We never had to turn on a radio, we enjoyed the music in the background each evening.

What a fun little place to get away! The cottage had everything we needed as well as a lovely view on the canal. It’s right next door to Backwater Fins restaurant which was perfect for dinner. We visited during the absolute hottest time of the year so the AC struggled a little bit to keep up but it was still pleasant inside. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful place but very dirty on the outside

So many great things to say about this place. The whole ambiance when you are coming in with the Tiki Hut and the location on the water. The proximity to the local fun spots and the water. It was so peaceful in the evening and having the backwater fins close by. We really loved it. On the inside it was clean and well appointed although there was a bit of a musty smell when you first walk in. The reason I’m giving it an overall 3 star was the outside was filthy. I don’t just mean dirty but literally trash everywhere. It looked like no one had lived there for years. So much junk lying around. Just trash. I’m sure some of it was intended to be decor but that is not even what I’m talking about. Just trash. Broken chairs in the front, debris and paint equipment, ladders, canoes and kayaks, unusable because they were filthy and trashed out. The canoe was full of water and breeding all kinds of mosquitos. Old rusted fishing stuff everywhere. We had a great time but we had to overlook all of the filth and trash on the outside. We barely used the really cool Tiki bar because it was so dirty. The resident peacock was a blast. He seems like a great little pet to have around and brighten your day. But for goodness sake do some cleaning outside!

This stay was nice enough. When arriving we were confused because there were beer cans left on the property like someone was there or that it wasnt cleaned up. Later on a family arrives which we find out are the owners family. We know its says in the description the owner lived upstairs but it is not the person who i speak with through the app and they stayed there all nights. This doesnt bother us them staying up there, but the areas outside where we try to enjoy there are children walking around and it and also using the amenities. It didnt feel like we were free to enjoy time away, especially with music and having our night the way we want to. Were thinking its the lady and and maybe a partner but its not even her and they have there children using the property while we are outside, doesnt really give us privacy which is what we wanted. Also in the pictures theres a description for a hot tub which there is not. Unfortunately we had our hopes high for this trip and it wasnt what we were wanting.

We really enjoyed our stay. The dolphin viewing from the back yard was amazing. Hand feeding the peacock was a cool experience. The airboat tour was only a 3 minute drive and was magical. The house was comfortable and we slept well.
