Enjoy a spacious, lakefront, newer home with 100' of private flat beach (no stairs to the water like so many other DC properties). Perfect for families with young children and seniors. Near Thousand Acres golf course.
Newly installed A/C for hot summer days.
Our Thousand Acres property on Green Glade, has a private dock, many spaces for gathering together and places for grabbing some quiet time. Approximately 3600 sq ft, decorated in a nice blend of new furnishings accented with antiques.

Enjoy expansive lake views from nearly every room. Beautiful vaulted wood ceilings, granite counters in the kitchen and all baths, wood stove and gas fireplace, outdoor fire pits, outdoor shower, hot tub, multiple decks, and ceiling fans in every room for summer comfort. Our well outfitted roomy kitchen is a cook's delight. Great room, 4 bedrooms, TV room/den with sleeper = 5 private sleeping spaces, plus 2 lofts (with 2 queen beds) and 4.5 baths . Outdoor shower is private and a delight. Decks overlooking the lake have multiple tables, lounges, BBQ and hot tub.

A second set of stairs leads to a vaulted loft split by a half bath, separating spaces for two queen beds and an office space. Guest will feel comfortable with the privacy on each side.

Two fire rings, one adjacent to the house, one near the beach with chairs.

We're the least crowded cove on the lake, yet only 6 miles by boat to the main lake. Perfect for early morning fishing, waterskiing, wake boarding or swimming.

Bring your boat or you can rent one from a local marina. Hike, fish, swim, bike, jog, all from our location. Nearby attractions include Swallow Falls State Park and Thousand Acres Golf Course a few minutes away. Experience the best that the mountains of Western Maryland have to offer.

An required application and rental agreement spell out the details.

2 Kayaks, 2 paddle boards and row boat available for use (at your own risk). PFD's are not provided but are required by local authorities.

Dogs are considered on a case by case basis. If allowed, an additional non-refundable pet fee is charged.
**Hot Tub is winterized from Nov 1 to May 1. Arrangements may be made for operation at an additional cost.

The inside of the house was very nice, but the outside was great. We spent all of our time on the huge deck or on the dock every day. The short walk to the lake was great. We had a fire in the keyhole fireplace every night. We had plenty of room with our extended family of 10.

Perfect for families

Gorgeous views of the lake! Very peaceful and relaxing. Having access to the lake from the house was so much fun! The home is beautiful. We would definitely stay here again!

Winter Holiday Break

This property was great for our large family. It was very comfortable with a great kitchen fully stocked pots, dishes, utensils for cooking some homemade meals together.

Julie was a responsive host. Othter than a minor glitch with the grill propane being empty because of reliance on previous guests, we had an an enjoyable stay.

Great Vacation

There were so many things to do: swimming, playing ping pong, fire pit (roasting marshmallows), hot tub, playing games, horseshoes and paddle boards. A super vacation with the family and grandchildren.

We fell in love with deep creek lake. Property was great location and the kayaks were awesome to have. House was huge and grill and deck just what we needed. Amazing to wake up and walk to the dock and fish or get out on the lake. The property owners were super fast to get back to any of our questions. Awesome stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property.The house was wonderful: very clean, spacious, and comfortable for 7 adults and 5 children( ages 3 to 12). It was exceptionally well stocked with paper products and the kitchen was equipped for all our cooking needs. The bedrooms very clean and beds comfortable for all. We loved the carpet throughout the house… it was so soft!The house had ample parking space and a huge deck for playing games which compensated for limited lawn space.Because of the rains, the water level was higher than normal and the sandy part of the beach area to play on was minimal. Being the fourth of July weekend, the boat activity on the lake was high, stirred up the lake, and made the sandy area more weedy as well. The family enjoyed swimming, sunbathing, and fishing off the big dock which also moored our pontoon boat.Julie and Jeff were great hosts and answered all our questions and concerns in a kind and timely manner. All instructions for arrival and departure were clear. A souvenir of our trip was left behind and they are graciously sending it to me! Thank you for a good week.JK

We stayed at this lake house over Labor Day weekend and had such a wonderful experience. The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked with everything we needed to cook big family meals, which made our time together even easier and more enjoyable. The beds were very comfortable, and everyone in our group commented on how well they slept.The location couldn’t have been better—tucked away in a quiet cove that gave us peace and relaxation, but still close enough to enjoy everything Deep Creek has to offer. The lake views were beautiful, and we loved having extra amenities provided that made the stay feel even more special and thoughtful.If you’re looking for a relaxing and well-appointed place to spend time at Deep Creek, I highly recommend this property. We would absolutely return!

FANTASTIC WEEK.

Each year the family gets together our grown children and their partners. We have almost always enjoyed time at the ocean but this year wanted to try a lake. This was such a beautiful property. You could not ask for a better stocked kitchen, and such wonderful lightening outside. It was magical. I grew up on lakes and did not realized how much I had missed the beauty and ease of going to a lake. The owners were also extra helpful. It was really one of our favorite places

Outstanding Property

If I could, I would give this property a rating of 6. My stay was for 6 days and it was the fastest, most relaxing and enjoyable 6 days in some time for me, largely because of this place. The property is in a great location in a quiet neighborhood and in a calm cove of the lake. The house is huge with space abound for everyone. It was very clean, well maintained and super comfortable. The kitchen is big and well equipped/stocked and has a 2nd sink in the long center island. The bedrooms are well spaced and spread out and can provide quiet time/privacy/solitude if one desires. The deck in the back runs the length of the house with a large built-in keyhole shaped firepit for evening fires and a nice woodchip path that runs from the deck down to the shoreline that can be illuminated at night. Pretty cool! The dock is wide and very sturdy/stable and great for swimming, boating or fishing. The recreational amenities are many and if the weather gets bad, there are 2 comfy dens inside with really nice TVs. We really loved and enjoyed staying at this property and look forward to hopefully doing it again.

Hoped for better

The house itself was beautiful. The kitchen was well equipped. The corner of the kitchen, starting at about 12 ft up, next to the deck door, was full of cobwebs and dead bugs. What was advertised was not available. We had to keep contacting the owner to get the hot tub fixed and the tv fixed. Some of the equipment was dirty and we spent time cleaning it. The beds were not made well. There were cobwebs all over the doorways and the clothesline, which we were encouraged to use, was covered with cobwebs and bugs. We finally found the tv remote under a couch along with soda cans and candy wrappers. There was only one bed that had a decent mattress; all the others were so soft that it was difficult to sleep.

Owned by three brothers who helped build the original house with their father and mother. The family camped out in a tent for a while before undertaking the building of the 'bunkhouse', the first structure on the property. It's a cherished piece of hertitage loved by the entire extended family, completely rebuilt in 2013.
