Family home in secluded woodland setting.Spacious garden with tree house & trampoline.Within walking distance of Leighton Buzzard golf course, and a short wainto town centre.Lots of restaurants , pubs and shops close by and a twice weekly market.Milton Keynes & Bicester Village within easy reach.London 30 mins by train
Grand Union canal and greensand ridge trail all accessible from our home.Rushmer.Woburn safari park & golf course,Mead Farm,Whipsnade zoo,Bletchley Park are only 15 minutes by car.Oxford and Cambridge University cities within an hour by car.Lots of National Trust properties all close.
The house itself has an ensuite king sized bedroom with private balcony.There are 2 double bedrooms ,one en suite.Two further bedrooms share a bathroom.Please come and make our home,your home and enjoy a relaxing holiday.We live here but in a self contained loft conversion. We share a front door but none of the living space. Our home would be your home for the duration of your stay.

Fantastic hosts, beautiful house and gardens with lots to do for everyone from the elderly to the very young.

Amazing house and Host

House and location is fantastic, clean and serene. Our hosts were welcoming and hospitable, highly recommend this place for a short getaway.

Amazing Stay

What a wonderful accommodation. So spacious and beautiful. The hosts are so friendly and helpful. Could not recommend highly enough.

Lovely quiet house, much bigger than expected!

The house itself is beautiful and massive. Facilities are excellent and the garden felt like we were miles from anything. Easy to reach and close to town so we could walk to a restaurant for dinner. Hosts both lovely and so helpful.

The house was a perfect fit for our family of 8 adults, a toddler and a baby. The facilities, equipment and personal details were all outstanding. We were celebrating Thanksgiving with family and so were doing a lot of cooking, the kitchen was well stocked and made this easy. Our hosts Linda and Keith were very welcoming and helpful. Of particular note was the fresh bread and fruit salad provided each day for breakfast, along with a selection of other goodies. It all came together to help make our weekend memorable. What a beautiful location, too!

The house owners very kind for instance when we go walking with our family we miss how to to go back the house . They rescue us by their private car I like the pizza oven with fire wood

Bird Song

This was an outstanding experience for us all. The property was idyllic in its woody setting and its amenities second to none. A great bonus was the wonderful friendliness and helpfulness of our hosts, Linda and Keith. DIolch yn fawr iawn.

A beautiful spacious and well maintained property

Linda and Keith were friendly and generous hosts. Their house is clearly very well loved and maintained. It's no surprise that they've been hosting guests at such a lovely residence for a decade. We were made to feel welcome despite a VRBO app update logging me out combined with a lack of local phone signal preventing a final confirmation prior to our arrival. Our family found something for everyone with lovely rooms and toys for the children. We did feel obliged to keep an especially close eye on our curious and adventurous toddler in such a beautiful property and they kindly put away most of their vases and small statues to help us avoid disaster! We'd love to stay again although perhaps when the kids are older!

We had a fantastic stay at The Bird Song while attending Reggae Land 2026. The property was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed after long days at the festival.Keith and Linda were amazing hosts, so warm, friendly, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. They were incredibly flexible with our check-in time, which made our trip so much easier, and after a busy weekend they kindly let us have a lie-in before checking out. Their kindness and hospitality really made our stay even more enjoyable.A special mention has to go to Linda's freshly baked bread, which we all thoroughly enjoyed, and the homemade banana cake was an absolute hit! It was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel truly looked after.We couldn't have asked for better hosts and will definitely be booking again for Reggae Land 2027. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay with genuinely wonderful hosts. Thank you again, Keith and Linda!

We shall remember Joe & his group with absolute fondness in the way they filled the house with laughter & joy. They were the perfect guests. They left the house in excellent order & were extremely tidy & respectful. I would certainly be happy to recommend them to any potential host.

On arrival, we received a very warm welcoming letter from Linda and Keith, telling us to make ourselves at home - which we did! The house and garden are stunning, with everything we could need for our overnight stay. An added bonus, as we sat in the lounge watching tv later that evening, was that England beat France to finish third in the World Cup! The delicious breakfast items were a surprise and delight. We cannot recommend "Birdsong" highly enough.

Quiet location

Lovely spot, quiet area, nice garden and woodland at the back of the property and about a 20 min walk to town/restaurants.

Great House, Great Hosts

The house is as advertised - very spacious with well appointed rooms and a fantastic garden that even has a hidden tree house and trampoline for kids. Linda and Keith couldn't have been more welcoming. Check in was a breeze, and the supplies they left for us were a godsend at midnight when my jet-lagged children woke up for a snack'. Highly recommended

My husband and I retired 10 years ago.Our children had recently flown the nest and rather than down size we decided to share our wonderful home.During those past years we have hosted some wonderful people and made good friends. We love to travel ourselves, we appreciate home comforts and are excited by the prospect of others enjoying it too.We love to host and hope we can make our guests feel welcome on our home.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

When my husband was working, he is a retired Police Officer, he needed a place which was, amongst other things, easy to commute into London. The journey time via fast train into London is 30mins. Perhaps though the most important of all was being able to raise our children in such a wonderful, peaceful environment.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

We are surrounded by ancient oak trees with a private access into a small woodland called Knolls Wood. It is full of deer, squirrels and many varieties of birds, it also includes several large Redwoods and a unique avenue of Monkey Puzzle trees. Deer regulary visit the garden, badgers have a home on the front drive, owls and bats are common as is the local fox.
Within walking distance is the beautiful Rushmere Park. This is a popular tourist attraction with its woodland trails and picnic areas and magnificent trees. Treetops cafe has wonderful views for those appreciating a sedate visit.
Further afield visitors can go to Bletchley Park, the code breaking centre of WW2. Woburn Abbey, with its safari Park and grand old golf courses are nearby. Not forgetting Waddesdon Manor ,Mead Farm and Whipsnade zoo.We are 30 mins by train into London with all the city has to offer.
