Large A frame on the shore of Lake Mitchell Alabama. Spacious open floor plan with large kitchen perfect for hosting a large family. Beautiful view of one of the most scenic areas on the lake. Three private bedrooms, three full bathrooms with a loft area perfect for the kids and a brand new open boat house and dock. Enjoy many summer activities such as fishing, water, skiing, kayaking, and swimming. Apartment suite which sleeps four above the garage available upon request for $75 per night.

The host was very welcoming. The house was beautiful and well stocked. We had the best time over Thanksgiving week with family. Thank you for making our stay one that we will remember.
When the rain stopped on Wednesday this is what we saw looking out toward the river. A perfect rainbow!

Property was clean, equipped with everything we needed for a super family weekend. Only regret is that our stay wasn’t longer. Host communicated very well with directions and questions. The View will forever be special to our family as our daughter got married in the area while we were here. Sunrises and sunsets. You won’t want to miss them here!

Most relaxing vacation we ever had.

We really enjoyed our stay the house is beautiful well stocked with everything you could need on vacation. It was the most relaxing vacation we ever had. The lake is beautiful and not over crowded. Great time we will definitely be back.

The pictures on this app do not do this place justice! The property is simply beautiful and in pristine condition. The host Scott is so polite and helpful. The view of the lake is gorgeous and the surroundings are so relaxing. Also, we were able to eat and rent a boat from the Lake Mitchell Marina. A 5 star rating isn’t high enough for “The View”.

Location was perfect! First cousins hosted a family reunion in celebration of our grand parents/ The Flying Wades. We had three generations to attend. We had a wonderful three days

Family Time

The View is a perfect name for this lake house. We’ve stayed here several times. Wonderful updates inside and outside have been made at this property. Looking forward to our next vacation.

Great place for a family getaway

Very nice accommodations, check in was easy, home was well equipped. We had eight family members ranging from 15 - 75 years old and everyone had a great time. We fished, tubed, swam, grilled out. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a family getaway. As mentioned by others, the location is remote, but the property is great. Thanks for allowing us to enjoy your place.

Family Trip

We enjoyed staying at the View. It offered plenty of space for our large family. The kids enjoyed jumping off the dock and floats and other items were provided. The board games also can in handy with an unexpected storm.

Incredible view and incredible property!

Some friends and I stayed at The View over Memorial Day weekend. There was something for everyone to do and we had the absolute best time! The location is supreme. You can’t beat the views and are just north of the high traffic areas on the lake. The property was very clean and even more spacious than it looked in the pictures. I would stay again and highly recommend to others.

PEACE & NATURE

Scott is great to rent from & his home’s location was perfect. Off the beaten path (pack your bag & groceries 😘) The home was very clean and if any issues came up Scott worked with us to address ASAP. We would love to return in the summer but with that said you won’t see any prettier views them fall!

Best of Memories with Today

Memories of having a lake house. Yesterday. With our kids of today. Future. The house is so interesting and beautiful. It accommodated our group of 10 perfectly! Teens through octogenarians, we had the best stay. Plenty of towels!

2024 Christmas

This was a fantastic place to stay for Christmas with our daughters and their families. Plenty of room to spread out. Lots of space to be together and cook. Kitchen was stocked with everything needed to cook Christmas dinner. Space within the house was even bigger than it looked in the pictures. Early morning on the lake in the winter is beautiful. We saw an eagle fly by the huge windows the first morninthere

This was a wonderful home for our family to come to. It fit everyone easily and we were able to utilize the garage studio as well. The home was warm, clean, everything you needed was available and the view was beyond compare. The drive was filled with twists and turns at the end, but it was so worth that drive everytime we left to come back to the lake view. We took family pictures on the porch and even spent a night staring at the stars off of the dock. Kayaking was wonderful as well (which are supplied). Easy to get in touch with the owner and he had very timely responses. Easy to check-in and leaving instructions were easy to follow. I would highly recommend a stay in this home.
