Coastal Retreat on the Sunshine Coast BC

Welcome to our Coastal Retreat located on the beautiful Sechelt Peninsula. We are a 40 minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay and a 20 minute drive once your have landed in Langdale.
Our guest house, built in 2017 is a couples perfect get away. It is located among majestic cedar and fir trees, with a peek a boo view of the ocean. You only have to walk down our driveway to be at one of the most secluded natural beach area on the coast.
The guest house, although only 545 sq ft has 12 foot ceilings, with a wall of windows that make it very bright and spacious. All the floors are radiant heated with separate zones in each room. The kitchen is equipped with new Bosch appliances, including a dishwasher and natural gas stove, micro wave and fridge. There is also a clothes washer and dryer for your convenience. All counter tops are quartz stone, with the island having a seating area for meals.There is a leather sectional couch and a 42" TV perfect to curl up and watch cable,or Netflixs. Wifi is included.
The bedroom has a queen size bed with elegant bedding and a large dresser for your clothes, and there is plenty of closet space. The bathroom has a glass and tile shower. There is built in Bluetooth in the bathroom exhaust fan so you can listen to tunes while you shower.
A 17 by 12 deck is located at the front of the guest house and has a Weber bbq and a natural gas fire pit. See if you can spot the bear as you enjoy the deck.
If you have ever wanted a place in the forest with a view of the ocean, this is it.
Waterfront activities include,beach combing, seal,sea lion, otter, eagle and occasional whale watching.

This was the nicest VRBO we have stayed at! The location was perfect, the ocean was just down the driveway, and there were even hiking trails just down the road. The unit was clean and cozy and had every possible thing you could need in the kitchen. A perfect spot to stay to enjoy the Sunshine Coast. We are already planning a trip back.

Great little vacation spot!

This was a wonderful place to stay, in a great location! The cabin was clean and beautiful, a perfect place for a couple! Well stocked too. The host was great. Friendly and easy to contact! Thanks for a lovely vacation!

Thank you Fred and Heidi for a wonderful 7-day stay at the Coastal Retreat. I enjoyed every aspect: Lovely cottage and the heated floors were a real treat! Very quiet, well located to explore the area. I would definitely stay here again.

Exploring the Sunshine Coast

Fred and Heidi are kind and friendly hosts. The property is conveniently located and provides a restful space. It was very clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. I loved sitting on the rocks watching the eagles and watching for whales (I just missed the whales).

Beautiful tiny home

Surprised the husband with this trip for his birthday. The house was very beautiful and appliances were up to date. Loved having heated floors and high ceilings so lots of natural light could come in. The place is nestled perfectly between Gibsons and sechelt with short drives to each. Check in steps were easy to follow except we drove past the cabin/house as we didn’t realize it was the building at the top of the drive way. Check out was also very easy and was easy breezy beautiful. There was also a lot of activities that they provided in a binder. If we had a longer stay we would have loved to use the bbq and outdoor fire pit on the deck and do some acitivities in the binder. Would definitely come again!

This cabin is an excellent base for exploring the Sunshine Coast. The location is quiet and peaceful. It was very clean and we had all we needed for cooking our dinners. We made good use of the BBQ.

One of the best VRBO rentals. Everything was as started and better. This has a cooks kitchen. The bed was great. Location was perfect, off the main road and close to all the action. Steps from the beach and you feel you are in the woods. Big 5 stars

We had an amazing stay at the Coastal Retreat. It was cozy and has everything you need. You’re close to the water so you can hear the waves, yet surrounded by trees, and sitting by the fire table makes you feel like it’s your own little piece of nature.
Look up in the trees to find a friend looking back!

A great place to rest and renew

This modern cabin is a great spot for a few days on the Sonshine Coast. In the forest and within a short walk to the beach, it has what you need to take a real break, enjoy the region, and be refreshed.

This place was perfect. If you are looking for a quiet and cozy getaway in a beautiful location this is it. It’s situated in park like space but also a stone’s throw to the beautiful ocean shore. The suite is clean and has everything you need. I definitely recommend!
