This darling 2 bedroom / 1.5 bath home is part of a 2 unit property and sits on the back of the lot up on the hill in Ocean Beach.

Newly remodeled this places boasts a brand new kitchen and ocean views from the back deck.

Beds, sofa and recliner are all brand new as well. Stearns and Foster Luxury Queen beds and leather Ethan Allen, recliner and ottoman.

Everything in this place is top notch. From the kitchen appliances, which includes a dishwasher, to the linens.

Washer and dryer in unit

You'll pull into parking space right below you space and walk up stairs and enter through the back door or park up front on Narragansett and pass front house and enter though the front door. Approx 8 steps to front door and maybe 10 to enter through back door.

This detached cottage is up on the hill in Ocean Beach on the 4500 block of Narragansett Avenue.

Newport Avenue is just two blocks north and the business district is on the 4800 - 5000 blocks.

You can walk anywhere you need to go.

Beach is just five blocks away.

You are so close to everything you need for a beach get-a-way, yet you are out of the fray and up on hill where it is quiet.

Cute cottage, convenient location

This is a cute, smallish cottage convenient to the airport, beaches, zoo, shopping, restaurants- all are a few minutes by car. Nice kitchen, spotless, nice washer/ dryer, comfortable beds. We used it as extra bedrooms for a family and would definitely use it again.

5 nights in Ocean Beach, San Diego

The cottage was perfect for us. The hill and steps where a little hard on my old knees but it was manageable. Easy parking, quiet neighborhood. Loved it.

A home away from home

My stay was perfect! The owner who lives in the front house is wonderful! House is just as pictured and perfectly appointed. The only downside is the house sits on a hill that you have to climb when walking, (if you consider that a downside,) but a short distance into beautifully quaint Ocean Beach. Would love to stay here again!

Cute property in a great location. Very clean. Wonderful host. Parking was tight (mid-size suv), as others mentioned, but having a dedicated space was a huge plus. Love the Ocean Beach area. Recommend.

A lovely wee place!

This is the most lovely wee house that was perfect for my husband, me, our son and DIL. Easy walk to Newport, although there is a hill that's not great fun after a night out. You can see the ocean from the back porch and it's a very quiet area. Very nice kitchen and loads of instructions around the house. The owner thought of everything. We will definitely be back. We miss it already! Thanks for another great trip to the amazing OB!!!

A Whole Vibe

High quality furnishings and kitchen. Nicer kitchen and washer/dryer appliances than I have at home! Leather seating great choice for keeping things fresh for beach travelers. Lots of grippy rug runners to absorb sand so floors also always feel clean. FULLY equipped for families or 2 couples. Bath and beach towels. Insulated backpack cooler. Sand chairs. Fridge has auto ice maker so can load up coolers. Small touches like power strips everywhere you'd need them to charge up piles of devices. Ziplock bags. Olive oil. A stack of kitchen towels. Tide pods. Dishwasher pods. Katrina has thought of all sorts of ways to make it easy to live in the space, not just make do. Decorated with vintage meets sun bleached beach style. Intentional and eclectic yet still casual and easy. Felt enjoyable just being in the space -- was way more than a crash pad. Neighborhood overall equally funky old San Diego vibe with mix of weathered, revived, and rebuilt houses. My dog loved hanging with Clarence and Pipi, and Katrina gave recos for nearby hikes. Location is killer. Blocks from beaches, cliffs, and main drag scene. Walk the block back up the hill and it's back to locals neighborhood chill. Have seen comments about the hill -- it's literally only one block. You'll be fine! Street parking is easier than the alley -- was never more than one car length from the walkway to the house. It felt like I got to live like a local for a week. Could not have been a better experience.

Great Get away.

We really enjoyed our stay. Great location! Not too far from action, but yet peace and tranquility abound, when you return from a day's adventures. Looking forward to returning sometime soon.

Beautiful neighborhood!

The vrbo was very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed and the host was helpful and answered questions quickly. This property is on a steep hill in a beautiful neighborhood. We loved having the ocean in walking distance. The hill got a little daunting to walk down and up each day, but we managed. The only negative was that the view from inside the home was of the neighbor’s wall and the view from the small patio was of a fence. If you sit higher on the back steps you can see the ocean.

Perfect little guest house right where we needed it!

My family & I stayed here for Thanksgiving week. We were really only here for sleeping (my parents live a couple blocks away), but the house is adorable! Very charming with lots of kitschy touches. Very comfortable beds & bedding. Good water pressure in the shower. Great remodeled kitchen with all new appliances. The location was ideal for us. Katrina was also very kind to extend our stay a day when requested.

OB Gem

This property matches the listing perfectly. Quaint and cozy - very comfortable for our family of four. Incredibly clean with nice amenities. The location is nice for accessing the San Diego area. We enjoyed walking down for dining. The hill back up is a good climb to walk off dinner ☺️ Parking was available on the streets.

charming getaway

Very clean and well cared for property, perfect for a San Diego getaway. It's on a steep hill with a few steps front and back so that might be a factor for some visitors. We enjoyed our stay and would happily visit again.

cute and spacious

I first want to say that physically this space is very cute and spacious for 2 people that are friends, a REAL 2 bedroom ( not a pull-out couch) and 1/ 1/2 baths- not 2 full baths. The location is pretty central, we were there in March so being real close to the ocean wasn't necessary and it was a short 13 min walk but I wouldn't want to carry chairs, etc there. Beach there ok for walking but enjoyed other beaches more if laying out. The house is located on a steeeep hill. which there was usually enough parking on the street and it is safe or seemed to be. One night there was not parking though and we decided to park in the carpark behind the house. There is a weird and also steep decline into the driveway. We had to angle and really figure out how to back out without scraping the bottom of the rental car. We did but if not careful it's very tricky so I was not a fan. I had to figure out when I got there if it was musty smelling (it was ) or if no one had been there for a while. It eventually dissipated or we got use to it.... I asked for plug ins or something which they brought, made it worse so we didn't use them again. On the first day, Not necessarily the owners fault, but they had to fix the furnace/AC and it was not done the first night, space heaters just don't do enough. The next day ( the only day I spent in the house during the morning the workers were there drilling and it was very loud. Not what you want on the first day but not really in the hands of the owners, just unfortunate during our stay. Communication was great and it was my birthday so they left a bottle of bubbly for us.

LOVED this vacation rental

We arrived at this adorable property and instantaneously extended our stay. Located walking distance from downtown Ocean Beach, we walked to get coffee, go to the beach, visit the farmer’s market, etc. It was only a short drive to PB and LaJolla too. We will most definitely be back!

Great experience!

Very cute place that was perfect for our small group. Kitchen was well equipped and we had everything we needed. Super close to the beach and SeaWorld, which were our top destinations. Highly recommend!
