The chalet's classic design unfolds in the vaulted-ceiling great room, featuring a native stone fireplace and panoramic views through massive windows. Indoors seamlessly blend with the outdoors through three sliding glass doors, leading to spacious decks, outdoor lounge seating and a gas grill for al fresco living. As the day winds down, gather around the fire pit just steps away from the hot tub on the lower deck.

The upstairs primary suite is a haven of privacy, featuring a king-size bed, a sitting room with a smart TV and a private balcony. The loft nearby offers an optional sleeping space for kids. The main level primary suite offers a comfortable queen-size bed and an attached bath, complemented by a nautical-styled room with twin-size beds.

Shabby

No need to reiterate poor reviews, which are honest, but will add that now the roof is leaking, might be due to the roof shingles lying around the foundation, the evergreen is overwhelming the fire pit, and the view to the lake is obstructed by trees. But there were lots of deer.

Family and Friends Getaway

We had a fabulous time at the Quarterdeck! We were able to spread out and enjoy time in small groups and gather together in the main room, on the deck and enjoy smores at the firepit. The 2 story windows were beautiful and the house was tastefully decorated. The only area of concern was the steps from the driveway to the house- the uneven stones and worn wood were difficult for our 82 year old mother to navigate.

Less than stellar

We rented this property to work away from home for a week. Unfortunately, the pictures are outdated and don’t accurately reflect the property. It is run down and not kept up. Inside, the rooms had bugs all over the place. The bedding is stained and clearly hasn’t been cleaned. Outdoors, the property is a mess and not kept up. Trash is all over the place, furniture is ruined and just thrown about, and there is a beat up, rusted boat sitting in the front yard. On top of that, the grass and landscaping are not kept up either. Overall, we were very disappointed in how dirty the place was, how the property wasn’t kept up, and how the pictures do not reflect how the property currently looks.

Mid week getaway

The house is nice and BIG, that is for sure! Plenty of space for everyone. Close to Wisp Ski Resort but enough distance away from the hustle and bustle. The house has 2 master bedrooms which is fabulous. The kitchen is fully stocked with all necessities. The little decorative touches are really a nice look. I love how each bedroom had its own look and again the little decorative touches really did it! The house overall just needs a good scrub down. I was cleaning stink bugs up, wiping food or syrup or something off walls, I believe the bedding was cleaned but there were blood like markings on the bedding. I did call the rental company and sent pictures over. I ended up cleaning the bedding and putting back on the beds just in case, it made me feel gross, so I wouldn’t feel ok sleeping in the beds unless I knew for sure things were cleaned. The carpeting really is beat up there were lots of marks on the carpet, it needs a good shampooing. There were tons of light bulbs out through out the home. The lower level where the foosball table was there literally was one overhead light that worked. Needless to say the lighting down there was horrible. We got about 8” of snow over night and no one ever came to clean anything up clear a driveway nothing, I found that surprising. Good thing we had an SUV with AWD. There would be no way someone without AWD would have been able to get out. The hot tub is a nice touch and is fabulous after a day out on the slopes. I would not recommend this home for a rental to older people or anyone with mobility issues the stairs are steep, slippery. I don’t have mobility issues and had a hard time with them. Overall it was nice, it just needs minor things done and it would be FABULOUS!

Comfortable

Spacious, comfortable, well-decorated, great location "way out there" but not too far out. Wish there was a view of the lake and steps down to entry of home were difficult to navigate.

Okay stay.

The house does look like the pictures. However, the property is definitely outdated and the bathrooms were a bit scary. The cleanliness of the house was a 6, and luckily we brought our own sheets to use since the linens were not as clean as we wanted.

Landscaping of the property was poor and the pictures were very deceiving, hot tub did not work and after making 3 phone calls I gave up--Will definitely return to deep creek but at a different property

The Quarterdeck

The house met all of our expectations and had ample room for 10 people and two dogs. The kitchen is very well stocked and had everything we needed to make all of our meals. The view is incredible and the HOA lake access is a big plus. The only downside was the main level, queen suite mattress. It folded almost completely in half under the weight of two people.

Great time with friends and family.

The inside of the house is very nice, nicely decorated and all the bedrooms were large and comfortable. The only negative to this house in the sidewalks leading up to the house. The gravel is uneven and the wood is missing/rotten. A couple of the guests had difficulty with the amount of steps in and out of the house. Other than that the house and location were perfect.

Exceeded my expectations

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This comfortable, well equipped house with plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and space was perfect for our extended family of toddlers, parents, uncles and grandparents. Everything was clean and as described. Two small issues were easily and swiftly handled over the phone with management. Beautiful lake, nice people, yummy vacay food and so nice to be able to bring my small dog along.

Wonderful time at The QuarterDeck!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We recently spent a week at this vacation home and absolutely loved it! There were 10 adults and 2 children under 2 and we had plenty of room. When we arrived, we found the house to be very clean and very welcoming! The house is tastefully decorated and not "cluttered". The location was quiet yet close enough to stores and recreational facilities. The kitchen was well supplied and had enough empty cupboards for us to use for our groceries. The adult kids also enjoyed the fire pit and the hot tub! We had a minor issue with the hot tub on first day, but the rental company was there within 30 minutes to take care of the problem! We would denitely stay at The Quartdeck again!
