Wow! We appreciate your review regarding your ant phobia! Does this home receive some occasional insects inside of it? Well, sure! It is certainly possible! Especially after a week with plenty of rain! Admittedly though, we have never seen a grown man so afraid of a few ants and never ending complaints, but that's ok! Everyone has their thing! For our future guests, please make sure to read the other reviews that show plenty of very pleased people without an ant fetish! After several years of maintaining very neat and clean homes for our guests, we find that about 1 out of every 20 will complain for any reason just to get a full refund of their vacation... Unfortunately, Nick is just one of those...

While we just started working with VRBO, we have had many people book this home through competing sites (please feel free to look). There is absolutely no desperation in booking our home. However, we are always hoping for neat, clean, and respectful guests to enjoy our home. Up until this guest (over 30 bookings this past summer) those great guests have not been that difficult to find. We have never had to withhold any amount of a security deposit on any of our homes from any other guest, nor do we want to! We expect you to "live" in our homes but we also expect our guests to be respectful. This guest simply wasn't! At the time that Lionel booked this home, air conditioning was NOT offered even though there was a window air conditioner that cooled the house very effectively! While this guest was there, we had central air conditioning installed with his approval for his benefit and comfort. Additionally, while he claims he was being considerate, leaving half eaten fish, pasta dishes, etc. as well as a huge mess in the appliances and all about the home, I doubt that any homeowner would view this as a bonus. Many times in this business, you simply hope and trust that people are basically good, and that is truly what we believe! For the most part, this has been our experience! Unfortunately, there are some that are not. It is possible that they simply don't understand what that means and Lionel may just be one of those! While I understand that people can change, we would not recommend that you take your chances on this guest as we did! I would rather have left the money in his account than to deal with the mess he left behind!
