This is not just another regular rental house; this is a carefully curated home (the owners lived there for 1 year), designed for comfort, equipped for the perfect vacation. Decorated with beautiful furniture & art from around the world, 2 outdoor showers for additional comfort, surrounded by a small permaculture garden full of fruits, vegetables, medicinal herbs and aromatic plants..

Upon arrival, Jairo was extremely attentive and helpful. We were unaware about the flights of steep stairs we had to climb to reach the house. Stairs had parts that felt slightly unstable. The driveway was half unpaved, which fortunately 4 wheel drive was able to get us up. The listing said 3 min walk to the beach, but by no means was accurate and did not account for the climb back up the hill on foot which was very difficult. The majority of the trip the house had no hot water and we were not told that would be the case. Once this was remedied our second to last night, we lost power for a little while, but Jairo was able to quickly get it back on for us. Due to the rustic nature of the home, the master bedroom had gaps between the wood which allowed numerous small insects inside. The home was difficult to cool due to no fans in the living area up or downstairs, only AC in bedrooms. On our last night, the water source for the house was depleted and we were unable to shower or brush teeth. If your vibe is more of a “glamping” experience this house is great. The pool was stunning, and the views were incredible.

Great Property & Views

First of all, this property has to have some of the best views of Sta Tere. We enjoyed the design of the house, as it is quite unique. This property is perfect for three couples, though make sure you are fit as the stairs up to the property from the parking area are steep! Well worth the climb for that view however. The location in town was also great, as its a short drive up from where the Selina hotel is. There was ample breeze and shade, and with the pool (too much chlorine at times), we were never hot. The bbq pit was also great, however we were only told after we checked in that there would be an additional cost to use. We opted to use and the maintenance person Jairo (who was very attentive and friendly) set up the bbq the times we used it. The kitchen does not have an oven and at times we struggled to find enough plates and cups for everyone, but overall it was adequately equipped. Highly recommend this property if you are looking for something different in Sta Tere!
