Superb villa with everything you could possibly expect and want. I hear it’s now up for sale. Shame , it’s a great stay and right in the heart of the region. The hosts were beyond helpful and rearranged at day for us as the flight had changed. The agents were superb 10/10

Magnificent home

The home was spectacular and spacious. Loved the pool. The village was amazing with many restaurants. Great communication with owners. We are ready to return. Thank you for allowing us to share your home.

Wonderful house in a great location

We had a brilliant stay in Peretallada. The house is very spacious and very well equipped. It is beautifully maintained and very comfortable. The aircon in the bedrooms was welcome in the evening. Peretallada is a great village with super restaurants. We know this area well as we have been coming for many years and it was lovely to find such a good rental property. We will certainly stay again.

This was the second year in a row that we have stayed in this beautiful villa, and it was just as wonderful as the first. Everything you could need for a relaxing holiday as the kitchen, indoor and outdoor living areas are very well equipped, so much so that the villa feels like a home not just a holiday rental. Super comfy beds, air con and shuttered windows meant we slept well even during 36 degree weather. We made easy day trips to Girona, Banyoles, and the Empuries ruins, and shorter trips to Pals, La Bisbal and local beaches. Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay in a memorable, one-off home

The communication from the owners was excellent from start to finish, we felt very welcome staying in their place… …which is a complete one-off, a quirky medieval stone villa with all the modern appliances and facilities you could ask for, e.g. modern kitchen, excellent wifi, sky tv, loads of communal space, bbq and even a small pool. We were six adults, staying to celebrate a significant birthday, and had the most memorable long weekend. Thank you to Chris and Howard for letting us enjoy their Spanish haven.

Beautiful property in historic Catalunya

Absolute wow factor throughout the property which is in the centre of Peratallada, a stones throw from the square with restaurants bars and shops. The real gem is the pool which is an oasis on hot days. It was 40+ when we visited and it was a great way to cool down. Communication with the host, Chris and the local agent couldn't have been better. Would highly recommend.

Magic in Peratallada

Truly a magical place with a surprisingly fun small pool that the kids could not get enough of and delightful back patio. Fully equipped kitchen with 2 dishwashers, great laundry room with a washing machine and dry racks, AC in every bedroom but not the common areas. Would not bring people with mobility issues due to steep stairs and uneven surfaces of the town. Peratallada is truly special, located near to many beautiful beach towns and places of interest and our host Chris was wonderful and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again!

Medieval castle town villa

The stone villa is one of the most unique stays we’ve ever had and may ever have. It’s located in a castle town in the middle of the beautiful country side. The house is large and the pool is nice if it’s hot outside. The only negative is that the bedroom and hallway on the kitchen floor has a strong sewage odor. It was hard to be in that area and this issue should be addressed.

Living history

We were in Europe for 3 weeks and this was the best. When I found this house, I moved other plans around so we could stay here 5 days. It's like your staying at a living museum. Eating at all the great restaurants around house and driving to a new beach everyday was a dream vacation for us. The house has many unique details and modern uodates as described, but its better in real life. The pool has a deep end that's close 4.5 ft., that surprised me. They provide propane for BBQ grill. Magnificent home

We were a family of 6 and stayed for a week. The house is absolutely exquisite - beautiful medieval village, very spacious house, with a lovely pool and all the required amenities for a weeks stay. Parking is a 2 min walk from the house since cars don't travel in the village. Short drives (20-30 min) to many of the places we visited every day. Chris was helpful and responsive to all our questions. As others have written, the house is even better than the description and pictures, so really this is a highly recommended and wonderful place to stay.

Lovely stone villa

We loved the quirky and fun stone villa in Peratallada. The location was great! In the center of a village from the 13th century. The villa was updated and comfortable with a great pool in the backyard for a dip after a long hot day. The wonderful beaches were 15-30 minutes away but easy to drive to. The only issues were bugs to be sprayed around the house, and a loss of A/C in the master bedroom on the last two days of our trip. The communication with the rental agency was not always clear but they were very nice. The town had great restaurants but no market so be sure to buy food outside of town. Overall a great VRBO experience.

Wonderful place full of character

A lovely house in an absolutely charming little town full of history and fabulous restaurants (don't miss El Pati across from the house - great food and gardens). The house is extremely well equipped whilst retaining all the charming features of these old properties. Our kids loved the pool which although not big, was great for a cooling splash and it was great to relax outside over lunch or with a book. This is an ideal location for exploring the many local sights, from the Dali museum at Figueres to the wonderful coves of Sa Tuna, Tamariu, Sa Marti and so on. We could easily have stayed another week and done something different every day. Recommend the house although the stone steps to the top floor are quite uneven so elderly people or tots need to be careful. All part of its ancient charm though!

So glad you loved the place as much as we do. Many people imagine that the Spanish coasts are rather spoilt through overdevelopment but when you see the history, culture and beauty of this part of Catalunia, it brings surprise and delight to those who don't know the region. The stone steps from the middle floor to the top floor are an original feature but we fixed a handrail and kiddy stair gate for safety. When we've had elderly relatives with us, they take the bedroom and bathroom on the middle floor to avoid the extra climb. Hope to see you again sometime in the future. As you say, there's so much to see, do and enjoy in the beautiful Costa Brava.

Lovely relaxing stay in gorgeous village house

Our group of two families aged from 20 to 60 years had a lovely time in this beautiful home in the heart of characterful Peratallada. It was so convenient for retaurants, bars, and little shops, being located right in the middle of the village. The house was large and comfortable. Beds were super comfortable, air conditioning in all bedrooms was very welcome and worked a treat. The kitchen was very well equipped and we ate many delicious home prepared meals in between our visits to several amazing local restaurants. We worried the pool would be a bit small for us, but it was a good size for us all to cool off after a hot day! We enjoyed a few city days via the easily accessed train station at Flaca and visited several different beaches- Platja Grau in Pals was a favourite for easy accessibility and relaxed vibe. Communication with owners and then agent was brilliant from start to finish. Thank you!

L casa es genial, pero en las zonas comunes hace tanto calor que no se podía estar, calor insoportab

Bonita vivienda en un pueblo estratégicamente situado para conocer la zona

Casa muy bien cuidada, limpia, espaciosa y decorada con mucho gusto. Los dueños y la persona encargada de entregarnos las llaves han sido muy atentos y agradables. El pueblo es muy bonito y está bien ubicado para conocer la zona. La única pega que encontramos es la necesidad de desplazarse en coche para cualquier compra ya que el pueblo no dispone de comercios.

Maravillosa casa con jardin y piscina esenciales.

Muchas gracias Chris por lo bien cuidada que tienes la casa. Estaba todo impecable y limpio. También se agradece mucho que están cuidados todos los detalles en construcción y decoración. Nos hemos sentido como en nuestra propia casa y la hemos cuidado como tal.

Le séjour s'est bien déroulé dans l'ensemble. La maison est grande et le jardin/piscine est très agréable. Vous êtes en plein coeur du village médiévale et proche des boutiques et restaurants. Les plages sont à 20min maximum et vous prenez à revenir au calme dans le village. La maison est sur plusieurs niveaux et la cuisine est à l'étage. Le stationnement se fait à l'extérieur du village (5min maximum) et vous bénéficiez du stationnement gratuit.

Very beautiful historical home with tasteful decor, in a magnificent medieval village.The only drawback was the kitchen on the first floor and without any windows.We were there in a heat wave but the stone construction, fans and very effective air conditioning in the bedrooms meant it was fine.The pool is very nicely done and the outside space is very comfortable.The agent managing the property is very helpful and accommodating.
