This is a beautiful efficiency suite. It's a studio with one queen bed, one bath, a kitchenette with a micowave, sink, and mini fridge.
Cheers Bar & Grill and the Pumphouse tiki bar are located on the property.

Comfortable vacation lodging available at Tagalong Golf Resort & Conference Center on beautiful Red Cedar Lake in Birchwood Wisconsin. Located in Northwest Wisconsin, our comfortable lakefront and golf course condominium rentals are 25 minutes north of Rice Lake; 30 minutes east of Spooner; and 35 minutes south of Hayward. There is always something to do in the Birchwood, Wisconsin area year round, from fishing on the Red Cedar Chain of Lakes, (Red Cedar, Balsam, Hemlock) and various other lakes, boating, hiking the Ice Age Trail, biking, golfing at Tagalong Golf Course, a Scottish Style 18-hole course, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, checking out the small towns and their specialty shops and many other things.

Fall color getaway

The property was exactly as we expected. It was perfect for our Great location beautiful your view of the lake absolutely beautiful. One thing that would’ve been nice to enhance this day would have been a cool couple of comfortable patio chairs and a small table outside.

Worth the stay.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very dusty, remotes dirty, kit cupboard had food on wood. Kit sink leaks above counter. Bath sink leaks under sink. Tell people to bring cleaning supplies. Wrong code for pool had to ask other guests. Everything else was good. I would come again.

Old and tired

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at Tagalong for two nights for a wedding. First the good—communication regarding access to the unit was great. The overall property was well maintained and very nice. We did not use the golf facilities. Now about our specific unit(411B). The decor was quite dated, carpet had seen better days and the unit did not seem clean. The grout in the shower and bathroom (especially around the toilet) was very dirty. One of the bedside lamps did not work (not a burned out bulb but the knob to turn lamp on didn’t work), the deadbolt lock on the exterior door didn’t work (first floor unit) The ironing board cover was ripped and unusable. The bed was ok—obviously old and not especially comfortable but considering the rest of the place it was as expected. Hopefully other rental units are more updated and maintained. We are owners of a rental condo in another state and we are required to maintain certain standards—that does not seem to be the case here.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful spot! Overall, a pleasant stay. Wish there would have been a Keurig, but making coffee the old fashioned way was okay. The kitchen counter had a film on it, and seemed very greasy, so I tried to clean it. Shower had moldy grime in it. Overall, a nice unit with an amazing view!

Perfect place to stay

Will definitely stay again. Great room, very clean, comfortable bed. Wonderful view of the lake and beautiful sunset from small patio. Yes we could hear there were people in the next room but no different than any hotel room and it was not a problem.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I stayed for a work-related meeting. The room was cozy and clean, with a more updated TV than shown in the pictures. The only problem I encountered was the lack of Wi-Fi. There were instructions in the room, but they were not current and the connection listed does not exist. It would also be amazing if you could add more than one room to your "cart" when checking out, but staff was very helpful.

thin walls

walls are super thin. we could easily hear tv and conversation next door. Our impression on our 2nd night would be this seems to be a party destination as other guests had no regard for others staying there as they partied, puked and yelled until early 3 am, all easily heard from our room. I realize you can't control everyone who owns and/or rents a property, but we felt there was nothing we could do about it until the partiers ran out of gas. There was no one to call to voice our noise complaint. Our room 411B had a considerable amount of mold on the shower doors. I understand that hard water exacerbates these types of problems and that the doors are to the point of no return given the age of the unit. In that case, they should be replaced. No one would want to look at that amount of mold in their own home, let alone pay to look at it when on vacation

Can’t recommend

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Not a single table in the unit. Not even a coffee table. I had to use a luggage rack in the closet as a table. Unit needed updating. TV was a small/old cathode ray hulk of a TV. Unit was underwhelming and as such, overpriced. Crying baby in adjoining room didn’t help. Thin door separating rooms allowed adjoining room noise in.

A weekend away

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property is beautiful but the rooms need to be updated. We were not there to golf but the course did look nice. I will say that I had to return to my room after I left for my pillows. I came into the room and all bedding in my room and the room adjoining mine had been taken except for the light blankets they put on the bed. This is something I was told is washed after each stay. I am hoping that the staff was coming back to collect the blankets especially during this time of COVID. This is why I bring my own bedding when I travel!
