The Osprey Cabin is a legendary Montana house on 10 acres with frontage on the famous Bitterroot River. It is a spacious 3 bedroom, 3 bath house with 3 queen beds and 2 twin beds. The large modern kitchen has all the essentials and the natural pine dining table seats 8 people. Sit in the comfortable living area with a real wood burning fireplace and enjoy the big screen TV. To really enjoy the true Montana experience, relax on the full length porch or the outdoor patios that overlook the Lee Metcalf National Wildlife Refuge. Cook your favorite meals on a premium outdoor grill and sit around the gas fired pit watching the flowing river and cascading Scarlet Mountains. Located in the Bitterroot valley just 20 minutes from Missoula, you have convenient access to 4 of the best trout fishing rivers in Montana. The Bitterroot, Blackfoot, Rock Creek and Clark Fork rivers offer the best blue ribbon trout fishing

The Osprey Cabin sits right in the middle of all the activities available in the Bitterroot Valley. Missoula has wonderful restaurants, great shopping and is famous for its many breweries. The small town of Stevensville, only 10 minutes away, has a fantastic main street that has many shops, cafes and restaurants. The famous Creamery Antique store is in Stevensville. A little further south is the popular town of Hamilton. Known for its small town heritage, it is a favorite destination for locals and travelers.

Other Activities
The Osprey Cabin is also in close proximity to many outdoor activities. Cycling and hiking in the vast natural preserves are local favorites. There are stables offering horseback riding on hundreds of trails. Snowmobiling is available about 30 minutes away, as well as a hot springs resort. Snow skiers have 2 resorts within 1 ½ hours. The great Montana outdoors offer a wealth of memories, and of course, you are right in the middle of the best trout fishing in America.

Cozy, beautiful and peaceful.

This was our second time staying at the osprey cabin. It is the perfect location to enjoy the bitterroot valley. Great trout fishing, beautiful scenery, cozy. Highly recommend!!

Great stay.

Very nice place to stay. House was very clean, large rooms, lots of seating inside and especially outside. A lot of little extras provided, like soap, shampoo, detergent, paper towels and toilet paper. Would stay again for sure!

Beautiful River Retreat

We had a wonderful time at the Osprey Cabin. The river view was lovely and we were able to fish and relax by the fire in the evenings. The cabin fit our party of 5 quite well. The beds were comfy and it was nice to have separate bathrooms. Our pups had a great time and even though the yard isn’t fenced, it felt secluded. We would definitely stay again and hope to do so in the future!

Last Minute Adventure

Outstanding vistas of the mountain and river. The cabin was well appointed and I highly recommend it. The hosts were very communicative and generous with their help and Information. Especially enjoyed the steaks from the local, near by grocery. We hope to return again!

Quiet and Peaceful

We had a wonderful stay. The house was clean and had everything we needed. This included plenty of split firewood for the fireplace. We needed this as temperatures were in the -20’s at times. Gorgeous view of the river and the 3 Bald Eagles that visited.

Osprey Cabin

It is situated right on the Bitterroot River on 10 acres. It is very serene and beautiful. The house was immaculate and the owners are very easy to work with.

The Osprey Cabin is FABULOUS!

We loved our stay at the Osprey cabin - best vacation ever! The cabin is beautifully furnished, super clean and well-equipped for cooking. The deck, the river, the wildlife - doesn’t get much better. Thank you, Jim, for allowing us to share this special place. We hope to come again.

Teri and Jim are outstanding hosts and were very receptive with any questions we had. Check in was simple and the property was spotless. We enjoyed the wildlife from the back porch and the fishing practically at the door step. We are looking forward to our already booked visit at the Osprey Riverfront Cabin next year. Fabulous and beautiful!

We loved the house, the property, the view! It was clean, spacious, and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again. Our only suggestion would be to possibly let guests know prior to coming to be prepared for all the mosquitoes and to bring bug spray and citronella candles for the evenings, at least in the summer.

Outstanding

We VRBO many times a year. The Osprey is one of the best places that we have rented. We fished and watched fisherman go by in boats and rafts. There were deer in the mornings and all types of birds to see. The house is top notch in our opinion

Perfect Cabin on the Bitteroot!!

Loved Osprey Cabin!! The photos and description don’t nearly do it justice and I hope to be lucky enough to return. It’s on a bend of the river and the sunrise and the views are just spectacular!!!! If you’re lucky enough to find open dates, book this cabin. You’ll be so glad you did!!!!
