Mid-century home located midway between Sarasota and Venice FL. Peaceful views of South creek flowing into the Sarasota inter coastal waterway. Tranquil and calming home perfect for couples or families looking to escape the daily hustle and unwind. Cool off in the pool during the day or take a dip in the evening. Kayaks available to launch off private dock. Kayak directly into Oscar Scherer State Park or the inter coastal . Manatees can be seen moving along the canal. Nokomis beach is a 10 minute drive south and Siesta Key a 20 minute drive north. After a day at the beach enjoy a nightcap around the outdoor fire pit or pool deck. Home is fully furnished and ready to enjoy.

Beautiful home with the bay view. Eight to ten people could easily stay here. Very spacious. We watched fish jump constantly in the bay and even videoed a small otter playing in the waters.

wonderful place to stay

This home is ideally located between Venice and Sarasota. We enjoyed our time here because of the beautifully decorated home, wonderful amenities, fishing on the intracoastal, kayaking, and the pool! We would certainly recommend this vacation home.

The very best property possible ever!!

This is the very best Florida property you could ever rent. The owner Mary was always available. Gorgeous flowing water out front seeing boats go by.

We all loved the house!

We loved everything about our stay! Our kids begged to stay at the house instead of going to the beaches. They loved fishing and riding the kayaks. My husband loved the ambiance of the outdoor fire by the river. Highly recommend this place!

Beautiful waterfront home

My family enjoyed our week in this waterfront home. Watching the many different birds & watching the fish was so relaxing. We didn't use the pool but we visited many close beaches! Having beach chairs & an umbrella to use was a big plus for us! This home is very close to some great restaurants!

Beautiful, comfortable home

This was our first time using VRBO and couldn’t be more satisfied with this home. Beautifully decorated, plenty of space, and just comfortable. Loved waking up to the view of the water in back. Kids enjoyed the pool and kayaks. The rooms were perfectly sized for everyone in our group. Large fridge and lots of seating. Highly recommend this home!

Beautiful & peaceful place to stay

The home was beautiful, spacious, immaculate and well stocked. Mary even had a beautiful bottle of red wine waiting for us. The owner was very responsive to my texts and emails. While we didn't use them, there were kayaks available. We will definitely rent again if it is available.

Relaxing

Mary’s place was as advertised. Very relaxing. Nice quiet neighborhood. Close to the grocery store. Mary was very quick to respond to any questions we had. Highly recommend this wonderful home. We will definitely be back.

Paradise found!

Although we were happy staying close to 'home' most days, favorite adventures included several trips to Venice, to Oscar Scherer Park to kayak and biking the scenic Legacy Trail (we brought our own bikes.) Our favorite things about the house are it's magnificent location (so private & such lovely views) , it's tasteful decor and it's oh-so-comfortable bed! We feel grateful to Mary & Rob for sharing their house -- it was a delightfully lazy month!

Perfect location and everything you needed

5 star review all the way . Dock and water was beautiful and calming with wildlife and fish in the backyard . Pool heated and comfortable even on a couple of cool 60 degeee days . Kitchen was beautiful overlooking the water , and house was fully stocked with everything we needed . Bbq was great . A true vacation home . Mary was overly accommodating and friendly . Neighborhood was beautiful and safe . Supermarket, gym and beaches all within minutes .

Perfect Place

We had a fantastic time at the property - the house is even better than I thought it would be. It was perfect for my family - we really enjoyed the pool and fishing from the nice dock. We even got the kayak out. Watching the fish jumping in the lake in the morning was really cool! Many things are provided for the stay. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Mary responded to the couple of questions I had within a couple of minutes. We would definitely stay here again if we had the opportunity. Highly recommended!

Beautiful and relaxing!!!

Love, Love your house!!! We have stayed at lots of VRBO (not in FL) and I would say your place was the for sure favorite place. Lots of supplies so for us flying in next time we won’t have to bring shampoo and other stuff we put in our suitcase. We really didn’t need to go to the store right away either. Spend a lot of time sitting on the dock at night listen to the fish and looking at the full moon plus lots of time around the pool. We were in town for a wedding so we did have to leave the house for some of the time. As we had to leave to head back we left stuff for the next person staying water, and a few other things. The only thing I would say is the fan in living room is is really noisy so we didn’t turn it on. Thank you so much for sharing your home!!!

Nice property with large combined open living - dining - gathering area accented with an expansive window wall facing the waterfront and private dock. The galley kitchen is more than adequate for breakfast and casual lunches. Property is central to the areas many beaches, seafood restaurants and charming shopping areas.We utilized the kayaks at sunrise, the provided beach chairs by day and relaxed in and around the pool during the evenings.The host was very responsive to all inquiries regarding the property assets which was very helpful in trip planning.Our family agreed they would like to return for another beach vacation!

Perfect Rental for 6! Every bed was extremely comfortable, big dining table for meals and games. The water views were great, kayaks were a blast and we loved hanging out on the dock fishing at night.Will rent again when we come back!

MORE THAN WE EXPECTED!

When we opened the front door we could see through to the back wall of windows which over-looked the water. The view was beautiful! House was extremely clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Pool towels ready by the door, Ample towels for our showers. Anything we needed for cooking was there. The layout of the home was wide open and felt inviting. Pool was excellent and a perfect size for our family of adults. It would have been perfect if we would have caught some fish off the pier, but no fault of the host. Just a great stay. About 20 minutes from the wedding we needed to attend in Siesta Key with was fine as we did did not find a home as good. The homes near Siesta were more with less amenities. We loved the area and may look to buy a home in the area for ourselves to live in.

Peace and Sun!

Beautiful, peaceful location!! Amazing views! Our family loved this home! Enjoyed the pool, dock, and the kayaks! Lots of games, books, and beach gear available for use. Very clean and well stocked kitchen and home. Mary is extremely kind and easy to communicate with. Very close to gorgeous beaches and fishing. Would love to vacation here again!

Million Dollar View

This is the perfect place to relax and put your feet up! Great location- close to shopping, grocery and beaches. The beds are very comfortable. Mary was quick to respond to any questions. Highly recommend!

Great view

Our second time at this house. Perfect setup for two couples with room to spare. Squeaky clean. Happy to look at the water view all day long but plenty of nearby attractions too.
