Summary:
This beautiful home is located directly on the sands of Playa Potrero will make you wish you could stay forever. Spend your vacation surrounded by Costa Rica's beauty and leave with memories that will never fade.

The Space:
This 4-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom home is fully equipped with all kitchen essentials and includes toiletries such as shampoo and conditioner. Each bedroom features an ensuite bathroom and either a balcony or direct access to the patio with majestic views of Playa Potrero.

The home is located in a secure gated community that sits on a small peninsula formed by the Pacific Ocean and a tranquil estuary flowing from the inland rainforest. Take just a few steps out of the home and find yourself on one of the most beautiful and pristine volcanic beaches in Guanacaste Province. This protected strand is sheltered from larger waves, making it perfect for young children and relaxing swims in crystal clear waters. If you’re looking to catch some waves, the home is located a short drive from several world-famous surf breaks, as well.

The home is conveniently located near the Flamingo Resort, which offers recreation and spa facilities and can also accommodate boats in its marina. Several other resorts are located within a short drive of the home.

If you’re interested in having a local Costa Rican experience, take a short walk into Potrero and explore the market, shops and local restaurants and soak up some ‘pura vida’!

Your concierge is included with your stay and can arrange transport to the home from the airport, as well as find and schedule activities for your group. We can even hire an in-home masseuse or a professionally trained chef for a special night in.

We had an amazing family vacation in Potrero! The house is perfect - just as described. The cleaning service was excellent and the concierge services were very helpful! The house is beautiful on a serene and quiet beach. We used the pool, grill and kitchen and all were fabulous! We would absolutely recommend the place! Pura vida!

Family Time in CR

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The staff were very helpful and the house is awesome! Some minor hiccups with appliances, dishwasher wasn’t working but they had a daily cleaner who arrived and cleaned the kitchen and dishes etc daily. Overall I would recommend this place. Access to beach and pool which was nice for the toddler grandsons

Best Place to Stay in Costa Rica

This house was amazing. Maid was excellent, property team was great. Couldn’t have ask for a better trip. Airport was close due to weather and we contacted the house team and they helped us stay so we didn’t have to find another place. Already looking to book a trip back.

Quick summary

Alex, the property manager, and Maday, the housekeeper, were terrific. The pool was much smaller than the photos on website. Our car was hit while parked in the driveway but no one took responsibility. Not good.

Excellent

Our stay was amazing. The check in process was smooth. The place was as advertised - clean , spacious , the bedrooms were amazing. We were 8 adults. Had a weeks stay - a chef for 2 nights through the property manager Carlos( who also helped arrange some of the day trips ) We cooked for 4 nights ( need at least a golf cart to get to local supermarket and bakery ) The remaining night we are at the local bar down the beach. The villa is literally on the beach which was not busy. I swam a km every day - pool is a tad small. Maria cleaned and tidied every day and was lovely. We all had a lot of fun and would definately come back. Jay

A new home away from Home

I literally can’t wait to come back and not only visit this property again but to visit this exact location in Costa Rica. I do vacations with the same group of friends every other year, we typically do all inclusive but decided to try a new adventure and booked this place through VRBO…best decision ever. This place specifically comes with a concierge who helped me arrange everything, from the private chef, dinner reservations, excursions, and golf carts. The house was amazing and it’s location on a very quiet beach was exactly what we were looking for. There is a great little bar/restaurant that is within walking distance beachside. The people were incredible and we truly felt like this was a first class experience. We can’t wait to go back!

Casa Equity Playa Potrero

We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at Casa Equity. The house is amazing and being right on the beach with sunsets every day was fantastic. The house is very well maintained and has everything you ever need. The location is perfect, being close to restaurants and the grocery store within walking distant, or a golf cart. The service is impeccable. We hired Chef Estefania for the week, and she and her husband, Luis, were amazing. Could not say more, and we would stay at this house again!

Perfect house in paradise

This house was beautiful! We stayed as a family of five with small kids and the house met all of our needs. Kitchen is well stocked with all of the utensils and cookware you will need. The pool is perfect for a small group and even provides some mid-day shade this time of year. The beach is just steps away and the sunset views are spectacular. We saw iguanas on the property daily, which the kids loved. We even saw howler monkeys in the trees behind the house one day! I would highly recommend this house for couples, families, and it is even big enough for multiple families. The house is easy to get to thanks to directions provided by the owner. The location is convenient with a supermarket and multiple restaurants within a half mile. There are a few restaurants within walking distance down the beach as well. The property owners provide the contact for a concierge that can help with everything during your stay. Alonso was amazingly helpful. From car rental, COVID tests, and booking excursions to the volcanoes, he was able to help with everything. He made our stay as convenient as possible.

Pura Vida Perfect Luxury

I cannot say enough about the absolute perfection of this property. The pictures do not do it justice. Every detail in the home is well thought out and it is spotless. It is well equipped with many extras you do not typically see in most rentals. The location was perfect. The house is right on the beach and easily accessible to many restaurants, supermarkets, attractions or activities while still being quiet and private. The support team for the home was easily accessible and incredibly helpful. We hated leaving and we cannot wait to return again.

Great property in a relaxing location

This is our second time in CR, but first time in Potrero and first time renting from Equity. We loved the location directly on the beach and enjoyed beautiful sunsets every night. We cooked at the house a few times as the grocery in town was convenient and the kitchen was very well stocked! Nice grill out back too! Plenty of restaurants nearby as well. If you want a relaxing stay in a less touristy area, this is the place. Travel during Covid is a hassle, but this trip was worth it!!

Excellent stay!

This property was all it promised! It had so many amenities, including a lot of cook wear. Alonso was so helpful and very responsive to our questions. Madai, the maid kept the house extremely clean! Location is great, so peaceful! We would highly recommend a rental car to get around to the different towns and restaurants nearby. Truly a wonderful place to come, we will definitely be back!

Great house on beautiful beach.

Perfect spot to stay. Very clean and well maintained. Sailing club down the beach was great for rentals of boats, paddle boards, kayak etc. Very good restaurants nearby and beach bars right down the beach. Alfonso makes sure your visit goes smoothly.

Great way to spend a family vacation

The property was very comfortable and clean. It's located close enough to shops and restaurants but far enough away to experience the real Costa Rican experience. It's also convenient to most area attractions.

Luxury Costa Rica!

Wow! This property exceeded my expectations in every way. Having such a modern property directly on the sand is a rarity in this part of the world. I loved waking up with a run along the beach and a swim in the calm, warm bay. Not to mention the service! The staff (especially Alonso) will go above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need including the freshest local food. We will be back to Playa Potrero; a growing town that screams "Pura Vida."

Family vacation

The Equity Premium residence is amazing. We have rented many homes over time and this was one of the best ever. It is in pristine condition and with an amazing beachfront location. It is as brand new with high end furniture and amenities. On staff maid ensures you really fell like you are in a resort. The black sand beach is very quiet and great for the teens to play. Many great beaches a short drive away. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a high end property. Alonso, the property manager is great and very useful.

My favorite house in Guanacaste

The house is spectacular. Beachfront on a beautiful bay. The house has a lot of privacy in its own small gated community; but we were super close to the restaurants in Potrero and Flamingo, and I got a massage at the resort. It's the perfect home to watch the sunset in, too. Very clean home, brand new appliances, beautiful interior. It was great having a maid for our stay, too!

Fantastic Home in the Perfect Setting.

This home was extremely well designed to maximize views from every room. The location is also great with direct beach access in a beautiful bay. We woke up early every morning to paddle board the bay before breakfast and the scenery is fantastic, it is the perfect way to start your day. I love that Potrero has the feel of authentic Costa Rica while still having the restaurants and other amenities you look for on vacation. Alonso was also extremely helpful in booking excursions for our trip. We are already planning our return trip.

Exceptional!

This is house exceptional. It is super clean and the amenities are all above expectations. Areas to improve are limited however, we have two suggestions. 1) It would have been nice to have the pool heated, we would have paid for that. 2) The back yard could use some smooth steeping stones as walking in bare feet is not good and rock paths. The location is very good. Close to great restaurants and beach bars. Over-all the house, the cleaning staff, the concierge and gardener were all exceptional. I would highly recommend renting this luxury house. We are super fussy and this place met all of our expectations and then some. We will be back!!
