Rustic relaxation with all the modern conveniences!! In less than 2.5 hours drive from Boston you can be enjoying the sun on the beach or the ski slopes in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire while staying in this all season vacation home located near Lake Ossipee in the town of Freedom, New Hampshire. A short walk to the private beach club or a short drive to the marina or a ski area, or maybe a walk to see the autumn foliage, this location is perfect no matter what your favorite season.

Please note this is a quiet area and not a "party" house. Loud and disrespectful parties will be referred to the police and the sheriff's department.

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay as much as our other guests. We allowed you to modify the dates of your stay and the number of guests as requested. Without additional details, it's difficult to know how we could've done better.

Great house - close to King Pine

Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay! Loved the vintage vibe! Minutes from King Pine for skiing and we were happy to be away from the Conway traffic. We would stay again!

Jumy 4th visit

The property was in a great location, easy to get to the local lake and beach. Plenty of Fans for the hot humid nights. Clean house and great Cabin feel!

Relaxed getaway

My friend and I stayed here with our elementary aged kids. Clear instructions for checkin, checkout, and accessing local amenities available by private website. Great property with game room to keep the kids active on rainy days and plenty of outdoor space to run around outside when it was sunny. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking meals, and plenty of dry firewood for cooking s'mores and hot dogs outside. Overall great stay!

Missing the Mark

The cabins located in a nice area however they missed the mark a little when it came to accommodations, the beds were not made the barbecue had no propane to barnacue, no sheets for all the beds, and it could have been a little cleaner, and their were several broken things around the house that needed repair and I needed to make sure I was not to blame for the condition they were in. Also there should be a guest book with necessary information such as Wi-Fi password trash disposal and door locks , lights , necessary information every guest should know.

There are several reasons we don't "make all the beds". First, many travelers prefer to bring their own. More importantly, most travelers do not end up using most of the beds. If we made all the beds, it would be difficult to tell which were used and which were not and we'd have to launder all the sheets. We think it's more prudent to save on water, electricity and cleaning fees and let the guests decide which beds to use. Since it's a cabin in the woods and not the Waldorf Astoria, this has not been an issue. We have a comprehensive website with ALL the information you need to know AND MORE which you should have been provided by VRBO before the travel. Again, most travelers have actually commended us about the site as being exceptionally comprehensive.

We had my family of 4 stay at the house over 4th of July Weekend. Check in was easy, the house is rustic and it had plenty of room for the 4 of us. Its quiet, hidden, you can barely see the other homes around you. Good size deck, and a grill that we used the last night there. Everything is supplied and the kitchen had a great stove and fridge for us to use. The house is clean, rules are clear and the host is quick to respond with any issues. It's 1/2 away from North Conway, beautiful drive we spent the whole day there and hit up the shops in the center. There's plenty of small stores, small restaurants in the area to go to. Closest food store is about 17 minutes away. The private beach was amazing. It's right around the corner, my husband and brought our canoe up and fished all day, there's also a channel that leads into another lake that we paddled to. My daughters friends came up the for our final night there, they showed early in the morning, there was plenty of room for all. They swam in the lake while we fished. There's an Amazing ice cream place down the road, it always looked busy with lines but we still managed to get some ice-cream. We had a couple of camp fires and watched some TV and we had a great time. We kept very busy. Plenty to do.

Great cabin getaway

We had a great weekend away. We loved using the outdoor fire pit. The property was perfect, tucked back from the main road and surrounded by trees.

As expected

The place came as advertised. It is an older house in a secluded woods area. The house was a few minute drive to a nice beach. We enjoyed our stay with one minor issue. The house is very warm, and only three small windows were functioning. We really needed fresh air! The owner was expecting a new screen for the sliding door, which would help a little. Would recommend.

Girls weekend

The area was beautiful. The cabin was perfect for the relaxing weekend we were looking for. The beach access that’s included was perfect for a bunch of ladies to get away. Would book again.

Wonderful stay, would love to return!

My family had been searching for hotels in New Hampshire/North Conway area and nothing stood out so we decided to check out VRBO. We are SO happy we did, because we found this perfect spot! My family of 4 traveled with my in laws and this house was everything we were looking for. We only stayed for one night, but we would 100% stay here again if we are in the area. The decor is a little dated, but it made it charming and the kids thought it was great! We especially enjoyed the fire pit outside, the bunk bed and the ping pong table in the basement. The host was also wonderful and provided a ton of information before our stay. There is no AC, but there are a lot of big fans in the house (our bedroom had 3!) Would definitely recommend this place.

Relaxing, comfortable, and very family friendly vacation home

I was looking for a vacation home in a quiet area for my family including my husband and 3 year old daughter and 7 year old son. We planned for a one week skiing trip, the first one with our kids, and chose this home for its closeness to the King Pine ski resort. We had a great time (in the house and on the slopes). The house has all essentials it needs. Some appliances and furniture are old, others are rather new (bathrooms, laundry) and the house was warm day and night thanks to a new heating system. The owner was super fast with his responses and very helpful. He makes available a website to renters with information concerning the house and nearby attractions, which was very convenient and useful. We were also looking forward to relaxing afternoons and evenings in front of the fireplace in the living room and everything necessary was provided in plenty. I take away one of the five stars because some dishes were a little dirty, probably because of a not so well functioning dishwasher and there could be more cooking utensils in the kitchen but those little issues didn't hinder us from having a great stay.

Amazing place!

This house is great! It was way more than my girlfriend and I needed, but we were drawn in by the location and amenities. I definitely plan on booking this house again whether it's for the 2 of us or a group of friends as there is plenty of space and beds. The unlimited firewood is a nice perk too! Oh, and there is a finished basement with a ping pong table and dart board that isn't mentioned in the listing! The owner is also extremely accommodating and responsive which is hard to find.
