Located just 7 miles from downtown Auburn and Auburn University in the sleepy historic town of Loachapoka, this house is ideal for families coming to tour the University, sporting events, graduation, or for a simple country getaway. The MilkBarn Guesthouse was originally built in 1940 as a cow milking barn. Fully renovated in 2017 as a guesthouse, it has a full kitchen with all new appliances, heart pine countertops, gorgeous bathroom with a clawfoot tub [please note this tub has a shower hose feature but no walk-in shower] sleeping loft, wifi, and cozy living space with electric fireplace console. Updated on the inside with an old Alabama feel. Decorated with framed show posters and art by local artists. Large, fully fenced-in yard with locking gate. Plenty of parking. We love dogs... ask about our pet policy! Sleeps 6, open floor plan, private, and peaceful. Owner lives on adjacent property with a shared drive. Very peaceful, yet convenient to charming Auburn and less than 5 minutes from University Staion RV Park. Minutes from the Auburn University Vet School.

Perfect Place for People with Pups

Loved the property with its large fenced yard with nice lawn. Easy access to deck and house. Perfect location for visiting the greater Auburn area. Cozy interior. Would definitely stay again.

From beginning to end this stay was amazing. The owner worked to accommodate our needs and made the booking process seamless. They communicated and were very thorough. Upon arrival, everything was absolutely perfect. They had everything ready for our stay and had ensured that the property was comfortable upon our arrival. Everything we needed and more was provided to make our stay pleasurable. We loved being able to let our furbabies out to stretch their legs. Next time we are in the area, we will definitely check for availability at the Milk Barn! Thank you for everything!

This is a wonderful place to stay!! The unit has a quiet country charm and has everything you could think of for a great visit. There is a big, beautiful yard if you’re traveling with pets. Very nicely done!!

A Delightful Gem

Milk Barn is a charming guest house, outfitted with every convenience a guest could want or need! The ambiance is warm, welcoming, artsy and like home. My husband and I, and our pug Sammie stayed here this past weekend while attending our oldest son's graduation from Auburn University. Wayles is excellent at communicating, check-in and check-out were a breeze, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will recommend it to others.

Attention to Detail and Very Clean!

The Milk Barn is such a great property! It’s a perfect place to get away and unwind. Whales has thought of every way to make her guests feel comfortable and at home. Our boys (Havanese) travel with us everywhere so a space which accommodates them is very important to us. It was perfect-a huge fully fenced-in yard made for a worry-free stay for them as well! We loved the decor and personal touches! Thank you for sharing your guest home!

Great place

We were in town for our daughters graduation. We loved the property. Really cool history. It was a comfortable house, close to town and vey well stocked. We would definately stay here again. It has a great style to it and decorated very nice.

Awsome place with all the little things covered

Wayles has a great little place and he's thought of the small things that are missing at other places. We took our pup, and it was great for him to be able to explore the fenced yard after a long ride in the car. Will definitely book when we go back to Auburn.

Perfect

This beautiful and cozy farmhouse was perfect for our little family getaway. The kitchen is big and beautiful and fully stocked including thoughtful touches for guest. The beds and couches are comfortable. Our children absolutely loved the claw foot bathtub, the Wii, the loft and the beautiful yard! Owners we fabulous! 10/10 would recommend.

Thanksgiving Stay at Milk Barn

The home was very comfortable for me, my husband, my mother and my adult Daughters! We had to have our first Thanksgiving away from home to see my son play in the Turkey Classic. We were only 15 minutes from Tuskegee University. The cabin came with all the amenities needed for our stay we only bought food. It was cold during our stay but the home had many blankets. We will be back within our family.

The most thoughtful host

We stayed at the Milk Barn when our daughter graduated from Auburn. This unique little place is SO Clean & Cozy! My husband & I had Plenty of room and our pups felt right at home. The thoughtfulness of the host is seen in every crook & cranny of this place. It was very warm & welcoming. Definitely 5 stars & have already recommended to others.

Amazing Barn and Location!!

Amazing stay!!! We loved the Milk Barn and the location. Place was so clean and such a great unique house. The barn was super clean and had everything we needed. The fenced in yard was wonderful for our dogs and it was a huge yard at that. Location location location. You are literally 10 minutes to everything. We loved going into auburn for dinner and fun. Awesome stay!!

Great space

This is one of the neatest places we have stayed. Very clean. The beds were comfortable. There is a lawn for croquet, there is even a set provided. We had a grand time. Perfect for our women’s slumber party. Very well done repurposing of a milk barn.

Loved the Milk Barn!

This was the perfect spot for my husband and our 2 daughters to get a good night's sleep while moving our 3rd daughter back to school for her junior year! We loved the eclectic decor (OCMS, Neil and Lead Belly!) and all of the thoughtful extras provided by our host! We WILL be back!

What a Great, Quite Place

Adorable and clean. Great fenced yard for our dogs. The tub/shower was unique but worked great. The owner was very responsive when we realized the previous guest used all the data so I did not have any issues working remote. We will stay again. Thank you!
