This recently updated 2 bedroom cabin with one sofa sleeper, *sleeps 4 adults and 2 children. Cabin is situated on Birch Lake, just steps from your boat dock. Fish all day and relax by the campfire at night. It's the perfect way to spend an affordable lazy summer week relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. It comes completely furnished and ready to be your little home away from home. Just bring your own towels and spend some time on the lake!
*(Rates are for 2 adults and 2 children under 17. Additional fees will be applied for extra guests.)

Nice Cabin

This is a fairly nice cabin in a nice location. It is small but everything is situated efficiently. Kind of a tight squeeze for 4 adults but we did well with 2. Some things to point out but didn't affect our stay. We never received a welcome email with the address and check in instructions and subsequent emails were not answered. The hosts were accessible by phone, though. For people that are affected by this, the floor is badly warped. We were fine with it but know people who wouldn't be so thought we would mention it. Overall a nice stay with a resonable price. We were notwelcome email with address

Great spot to stay for local fun

We had a great stay in the little cabin. It has amazing charm with a rustic feel. We will be back!

Cabin get-away

Nice clean, compact cabin with everything you need. It includes space at one of the docks; only steps away. Very quiet and peaceful.

Weekend away

Very nice and clean cabin. Had everything we needed. Owner was around if you needed anything. Close to Hayward and other things to along with fishing.

Clean, well-appointed, comfortable cabins on a nice lake chain

We were very happy with our stay. The cabin was very clean when we arrived and had all the necessary kitchen, bathroom, etc supplies we needed for a weekend away from home. The cabin had a nice view of the lake and we rented a boat which was very well maintained and allowed us to get out fishing and tour Birch Lake and the "big lake" Chetak. The owners were on-site and made sure the resort was safe/secure, also made sure we had everything we needed (even sold us a wheel-barrow full of firewood since we didn't bring any), and also helped us find an open vet clinic on a Saturday when our family had an issue with one of our dogs. We will be back next year!

Hit and run

Great communication by the owners. Quick responses to all of my questions. Looks smaller in pictures than it is. Comfortable beds. We spent most of our days fishing, slept early, rose early. Though people were close by in camping area, it was quite peaceful. No hesitation recommending this cabin to others.

Birchwood Stay

Nice getaway!

Only complaint is that check out was at 9:00 am.. we wanted to stay and play longer! Property is cozy but did the trick. Wish there had been a little bigger beds but I don’t think it would have fit. Fun trip fun place to stay fishing was a blast with the kids.

Great fishing lake, had a blast on the lake.

Rick and Shelly were great hosts, showed us how to run the pontoon and even helped get tv fixed so we could watch our football team.

Enjoyed every minute!

Cabin #1 rocks! Rick and Shelly are wonderful hosts! The cabin has most everything you need...it's super clean, homey and has a beautiful view. Rented a pontoon and had fun swimming and seeing many bald eagles and loons. Would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic fishing

The fishing was excellent!! We caught our limit of pan fish every single day! The cabin was clean and welcoming. Even though the floors were pretty slanted and the rooms smaller than they looked on VRBO the owners were OUTSTANDING. We’ll definitely go there again.

Cabin on lake

The owners were great to deal with. Friendly and helpful. Clean cabin, only downside was the floor of the cabin was not level and was a bit hard to get use to . Nice to be right by the lake and enjoy the lake and enjoyed a fire pit at night overlooking the lake.

Girls Weekend Get-away

We chose this cabin based on price and location for a girls get away weekend. It did not disappoint. Rick and Shelly were great hosts. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Birchwood is a very quaint little town and had everything we needed for our weekend. We would definitely stay again in the future!

Great Stay!

We loved our stay at this cabin. You should be aware that if you are staying right now during the pandemic that pillows are not provided. It would have been helpful getting an email and being made aware of this, but fortunately we had family nearby that was able to provide some pillows for us. The cabin was very clean and ended up being a great fit for our family. We would stay again. Thank you!

nice and quiet

My wife and I were looking for a quiet place to relax and cabin #1 was perfect! For a compact resort/camper grounds, it was remarkably quiet and relaxing. Thanks to Rick and Shelly for making a nice 4 day weekend!

Fishing trip with the kids

Cozy cabins. Boat and pontoon rentals on site. Rick was always out working on something so easy to find if you had a question. Very fair people with fair pricing and knowledgeable about area. Kids loved it. Will be staying again in the future.
