Beautiful, old farmhouse, entirely renovated to a very high standard and offering circa 150 M2 of living space including 3 double bedrooms. Modern, luxurious and bright interior with original features including wooden beams, and French oak ceiling and bread ovens in the lounge. With its large private grounds and nice views over the valley below, this is a great home for getting away from it all, yet perfectly located for visiting the famous Côte d'Or wine region beginning about a fifteen-minute drive away, the lovely, historic wine capital of Beaune, and so much more. Green cycling path departs from our village of Thury along the old railway track.
Comfort + : very efficient JOTUL wood burner, X-Large Bathroom with separate "Italian" shower space, 2 separate toilet rooms, 3 double bedrooms. Fully equipped utility space etc. Luxury furniture & equipment throughout the house. Broadband Internet, Large flatscreen TV and smaller TV in master bedroom, with French and UK channels.

Great stay at Thury

Lovely stay

Not often you pick a venue which meets all expectations. The booking process and communication was clear and untroubled. The property is clean has lots of space, quite and not overlooked. The pictures represent the property well. Would recommend a stay, if you want somewhere quiet and un hassled.

Luxurious Retreat

We enjoyed three lovely weeks in this fabulous house. It is in a tiny little village to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and our jobs. We spend time to read and cook. Relaxing! We had been exploring the burgundy wine region during our days and were sitting next to the fireplace at the nights. By the way: The house has a kitchen fully equipped with everything you will need. All the equipment and furniture is of high quality. The landlords were very helpfull. We'll love to be back next year.

A GREAT PLACEWe spent 3 weeks in this beautiful house in August 2025. It was perfectly clean, very well equiped, beds comfortable, very nice bathroom (very large), kitchen has everything you need (there are even 2 sorts of coffeemachines to choose from). It is nicely furnished, again comfortable, and above all nice for the eye. It is large and the bedrooms are large as well. The house is situated just outside the village and has a large terrain around it. You can enjoy the sun any time of the day. In the morning spectaculair sunrises in front of the house in the evening spectaculair sunsets. The car can be parked easily and if you want under the barn like construction. The wifi is limited to the kitchen and the livingroom. The kitchen has a very large table and can be used for dinner (in the living room there is gigantic dinner table) but also for using the internet. So room enough for everybody in case you are there with more people.The photos on the VRBO website are completely accurate. Communication with the owner and the local person was efficient and friendly.All in all we had a great stay and certainly recommend the house.

A Tranquil Retreat in the Heart of Burgundy

Last week, I spent an enchanting time at a generously sized vacation house in Thury, Burgundy. Bathed in just the right amount of sunlight and shade, this house with its vast garden offers an idyllic setting for relaxation. Furnished with luxury items, the house's interiors exude class and comfort, all while being spotlessly clean. Families with children will appreciate the indoor and outdoor toys, although the latter are somewhat dated. The owners excel in communication, ensuring a hassle-free experience from booking through the stay. However, if you have a crawling baby, some stair blocking may be necessary for safety. This is manageable and should not detract from the overall experience. Located near Burgundy's gems such as Dijon, Beaune, and the Route des Grands Vins, the house is also a stone's throw from charming local towns. This blend of tranquillity and accessibility is truly remarkable. In conclusion, this house is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a relaxing, memorable retreat in Burgundy. I highly recommend it to future guests.

Wunderschönes Haus im Burgund/Beautiful house in Burgundy

Das Haus ist sehr komfortabel und hochwertig eingerichtet. Es fehlt an nichts und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Wir waren sehr begeistert. Wir haben es sehr sauber vorgefunden. Von Thury aus kann man viele Ausflüge unternehmen (Beaune, Autun, in den Morvan, Dijon..). Alles ist gut mit dem Auto erreichbar. Das Weingebiet ist nicht weit entfernt. Uns hat es insgesamt sehr gut gefallen. The house is very comfortable and furnished to a high quality. Nothing is missing and leaves nothing to be desired. We found it very clean. We enjoyd the house very much. From Thury you can go on many excursions (Beaune, Autun, the Morvan, Dijon...). Everything is easily accessible by car. The wine region is not far away. Osterwoche mit der Familie in Thury

Nachdem wir bereits im Herbst eine wunderbare Woche in Carolyns Haus in Thury verbracht hatten, haben wir für diese Osterferien gleich wieder eine Woche gebucht. Unserer letzten Bewertung ist nichts hinzuzufügen: ein wunderschönes, bestens gepflegtes und komplett ausgestattetes Anwesen in sehr ruhiger Lage. Sehr netter Kontakt mit der Vermieterin, und ein freundlicher und unkomplizierter Empfang und Übergabe durch Nathalie. Vielen Dank!!!

Tolles Haus in absolut ruhiger Umgebung

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub in diesem Ferienhaus. Die Lage war gut, die Aufteilung nahezu perfekt und die Freiheit im Garten das absolute Highlight. Leider ließ die Sauberkeit etwas zu wünschen übrig. Viele Ecken waren sehr staubig, zum Beipspiel unter dem Waschtisch im Bad. Die Spielgeräte im Garten sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen und daher vielleicht schon etwas unsicher, aber es gab so viele Bewegungsmöglichkeiten... Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, sodass vieles möglich wird. Insgesamt eine schöne Unterkunft.

For the points we need to improve on, we will ask our local representative to pay more attention to areas where dust can accumulate. Perfektes Ferienhaus

Wir verbrachten 6 Tage in diesem sehr gepflegten, luxuriösen, geräumigen sehr ruhigem und sauberem Ferienhaus. In der Küche war alles da, was man braucht in großzügigem Maß, einschließlich einer großen Salatschleuder. Die Übergabe durch Nathalie verlief optimal, sie hatte uns viele Tipps bezüglich Restaurants und Märkten. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wunderschönes Landhaus

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in Thury sehr genossen. Das Haus bietet eine tolle Mischung aus ländlichem Charme und moderner Ausstattung. Alles ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Am besten gefiel uns das Wohnzimmer mit dem Kamin, an dem wir unsere Abende verbracht haben. Der Empfang durch Nathalie war sehr gut, alles war auf das Beste vorbereitet. Perfect in every way

We would highly recommend this lovely house. It has been recently restored to an exceptionally high standard while retaining character. We found it impeccably clean, very spacious, extremely well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. The garden is large and enclosed with magnificent 360 degree views. Being on the edge of the village the location is completely tranquil. The house is within easy reach of the Morvan National park and also the Cote de Beaune vineyards. We stayed for two weeks and absolutely loved it here. The hosts are extremely kind and helpful people who genuinely wish for their guests to enjoy their stay. Nathalie the housekeeper is available if needed and is very helpful. We have stayed in quite a few gites in France and can happily say that this was by far and away our best experience.

Luxus und absolute Ruhe

Wir waren auf der Suche nach einem Ferienhaus in einer sehr ruhigen Lage und haben das für uns PERFEKTE in Thury gefunden! Das Haus ist genau so wie beschrieben. Viele Mieter haben schon sehr positive Bewertungen abgegeben und ich schließe mich hiermit an. Nur das WLan hakte ziemlich, was vor allem für unsere 16-jährige Tochter nicht so schön war (Instagram, Snapchat usw.). Zum Glück hatte ich genügend GB mitgebracht. Das POSITIVE daran war allerdings, daß unsere Tochter mit uns gemeinsam die wunderschönen Sonnenuntergänge erleben konnte und auch daran sehr viel Freude hatte. Wir können dieses wunderschöne Haus nur empfehlen! Vielen Dank an Carolyn und Benoit und natürlich auch an Natalie!

Excellentes vacances dans une superbe maison

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette maison ancienne superbement rénovée. Le séjour est très spacieux et agréable, la cuisine très bien équipée ; les chambres sont confortables et la salle de bains est également spacieuse et bien équipée. Nous avons profité du grand jardin entourant la maison et des vues magnifiques sur les beaux paysages à 360 degrés. La maison est bien située à une vingtaine de kilomètres des grands vignobles de la côte de Beaune. Idéal pour se reposer et profiter de la région.

Super séjour

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour en famille. La maison est très agréable à vivre. La cuisine / salle a manger est très grande et super sympa d y passer du temps. Le salon aussi est très spacieux, et les chambres sont bien isolées. Surtout la maison est très bien chauffée (au sol) ce qui est très agréable en famille surtout pendant les soirées fraîches d'automne. Les extérieurs sont super également, notre fille a adoré faire du trampoline et de la balançoire tous les jours. Au delà de cela, la vue 360 est magnifique. On profite du levé et du coucher de soleil de la maison. La maison est bien située et on a bien profité des environs de Beaune (et des caves à vin). On reviendra ! 🙂

Séjour au calme

La maison a été superbement rénovée. Tous les équipements sont modernes (et neufs !). Mention spéciale pour la douche à l'italienne particulièrement agréable. L'endroit est d'un calme absolu. Le soir boire un verre en admirant le coucher de soleil sur les monts au loin (le Morvan ?) est un bonheur. En résumé cette semaine fut vraiment réussie, grâce à la maison et à toutes les merveilles à visiter dans les environs.

Wundervoller Urlaub

Dies war unser bisher schönstes Ferienhaus: geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr gut ausgestattet mit schöner Ausleuchtung und toller Dusche. Ob Geschirr, Töpfe oder Handtücher, von allem ist reichlich vorhanden. Zudem stehen von den Vorgästen Gewürze, Tee, Spülmittel etc zur Verfügung. Man kauft also nur das nach, das ausgeht. Auch für Familien mit kleinsten Kindern geeignet, zur Straße hin mit einem Tor gesichert und zudem Babybett, Wickelauflage, Babystuhl, Töpfchen vorhanden, ebenso wie Kinderspielzeug und Kinderbücher bis Alter ca 7 Jahre auf französisch und englisch. Das Trampolin und die Schaukel waren natürlich für unsere zwei Jungs (3 und 6 Jahre) der Hit. Der Empfang durch Valerie war sehr nett, Valerie und die Vermieter Carolyn und Benoit sind sehr hilfsbereit und entspannt. Das Haus ist sehr sauber. Wer die Ruhe mag, ist hier richtig. Auf den Straßen lässt sich prima Radfahrern, man trifft so gut wie keine Autos. Schade, dass der Bäcker im Dorf zugemacht hat, deshalb muss man hierfür ca 7 km fahren. Aber alles zusammen 5 Punkte, wir planen, wiederzukommen.

Franco-Irish family with 2 children, we live in another region of France although "Papa" is originally from the Côte D'Or department in Burgundy. We inherited this ancient farmhouse which has belonged to our family for several generations. This has been a labour of love renovation project, and is a great getaway from our otherwise hectic lives.

We decided that it would be a good idea to rent our home from 2016, now that is completely renovated and furnished. We cannot avail of it as often as we would like and would like for others to enjoy it as well as the Cote d'Or region with its famous wines nearby and proximity to the lovely old wine capital of Beaune.
With our future holidaymakers fully in mind, we also intend to continue investing in our home to the same high standards, including the addition of an outdoor swimming pool in the coming years and perhaps a conversion or partial conversion of the attic. We will use seasonal rental income for this purpose as well as to help with ongoing costs of this secondary home in its current configuration and to add elements this year such as outdoor playing equipment for children, bicyles for all ages etc.
