Wonderful place for a couple to base in Provence.

My wife and I found this a perfect location to base out of to venture all over Provence. St. Remy, is one of many towns to see and this location is a pleasant walk to the center of town or to get groceries to cook at home. There is a canal path that runs right out the door for many KM that we rode and ran on. The value is excellent.

Host was very responsive to messages. Property is in a fabulous location. Easy walk into the main village. Listing states washer and dryer but there is none. Normally would not be an issue, but I was in the middle of a long trip and was looking forward to doing some laundry.WiFi signal is good and flat is comfortable. Definitely recommend.

Great little place in Saint-Remy

This was a very comfortable studio apartment with a small terrace and everything you’d need for a great stay. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with coffee, tea, and spices. The host left us water, wine, and local sweets. The pool is very nice. However, there is no laundry. The location is great: very quiet and a short walk to the center of town and major tourist attractions. The host was helpful and easy to deal with.

Nice mazet

We spent 3 wonderful weeks in this small but well equipped mazet. The enclosed patio provides a calm space for reading. The mazet is very well located, close to the village but also a good base to start hiking in the Alpilles. Helen is a very relaxed and easy going host. She even suprised us with a welcoming package including a bottle of wine. Thanks again!

Everything we needed

We really enjoyed our stay. The owner was always available and quick to respond. The condo was well equipped, the bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was definitely needed. We enjoyed the use of the pool it was in the 30’s. Saint Remy is a great location for day trips as there are many beautiful villages to visit in the Provence area. There are many great restaurants within a 10-15 minute walk or you can drive in and park. The market on Wednesday is huge and the town itself is charming. Thank you Helen.

The property was comfortable and clean. The amenities were thought and nice. The host was attentive. We had a communication issue at check in. That was finally resolved within 2-3 hours. From that point on, all was delightful. The property was a 5-10 min walk into the center of town. I did not want to walk it at night.

Provence Gem

Mazat 12 has everything you would want for a memorable visit to Provence. The unit is nestled in a secure, private development interlaced with a maze of walkways and gorgeous landscaping. The unit is clean, comfortable and well appointed. Best of all, it has its own private, walled patio where you can enjoy meals, a coffee or glass of wine. St. Remy is a ten minute walk to pick up your morning baguette and croissant. Along the way is a full-service grocery. Lock box key pickup and drop-off and a personal parking space make for seamless arrival and departure. Helen was always available and prompt to answer any questions we had. Merci Helen!!

Muy buen sitio

Buen emplazamiento, a cierta distancia de St. Rémy pero accesible perfectamente a pie. Tranquilidad, buenos vecinos, espacio comunitario y piscina muy generosa. El apartamento es algo justo para 4 personas, pero nosotros estuvimos 9 días y nos organizamos bien. El menaje era muy completo. No tenemos quejas. Un día nos saltó la alarma de humos y Helen se presentó de inmediato para ayudarnos. Nos explicó que era algo habitual y nos dio recomendaciones sobre la zona. Muy amable. Todo fantástico!

Amazing stay

We had 7 incredible days at Les jardins de Fontanille. Newly renovated flat, which has everything you need including a newer air condition. The teresse is big with a lot of sun but also possibilities to create shade. Beautiful, cosy and quite area with a great swimmingpool. It is possible to access the flat with a key-box which made the check-in very easy. Great communication with the host as well. Finally, the location is really great! It takes less than 10minutes to walk to the city center of St. Remy De Provence and you almost have the alpilles in your backyard (10-15min drive) We will differently recommend this place! Hopefully, one day we will come back 😊

Ideal spot

A very comfortable place to stay with a pretty courtyard that gets plenty of sun. Easy walk into St Remy and a short drive to lots of other interesting places to visit in the area.

Un havre de paix en Provence

Helen est une propriétaire attentionnée dont le goût et le sens de l’accueil nous ont permis de passer un séjour très agréable. Le logement est très bien équipé et le jardinet clos fort propice à la détente et aux repas extérieurs. Nous reviendrons !

Very convenient for walk in to town and all amenities. A bit on the small side. Some equipment needs replacing, no lids for the pots,plates chipped and freezer door is broken.

Helen est attentive et très serviable, son Mazet est très bien équipé et très propre, rien de manque. La piscine est très agréable, calme et très propre. La situation est idéale, à 10 min à pieds du centre. Tout y est ! Je recommande fortement ! Merci beaucoup Helen !

Lovely base in St Rémy.

This property is very well situated within walking distance to the centre of town (7 mins), but away from the noise of the bars and restaurants during the summer months. Set in mature gardens and with a very large pool & private garden/terrace. Private parking guaranteed and a secure gated entry system. Hire a car and take off for a different destination every day to really discover the best of what this area has to offer. From the beautiful Calanques along the coast from Marseille, the flora and fauna of the Camargue with its traditions and festivities and the many, many idyllic villages (such as Eygalières - home to the stars), in the surrounding area. Come back in the evening to stroll around the beautiful town of St Remy de Provence and choose from a wealth of restaurants and cafés offering an excellent selection of modern and traditional cuisine, or relax with a glass of chilled rosé on the terrace in your private garden after a later afternoon dip in the pool. Leisure activities and sports are at your doorstep with the Alpilles hills ready for exploring by foot or mountain bike (even horse back), the golf courses at Les Baux de Provence (Domaine de Manville, Servanes & Avignon), tennis at St Remy de Provence and a multitude of cycling options with breathtaking road and mountain biking routes available for all levels. E bike hire in the centre of St Remy makes visiting the area and the markets even easier: take a leisurely tour of the vineyards between St Remy and Eygalieres at the foot of the beautiful Alpilles hills. St Remy de Provence has a host of sites to visit with the archeological site of the Glanum Roman village, architecture in the historic centre of town, the Via Domitia, the birth place of Nostradamus and of course the famous St Paul de Mausole sanitarium where Vincent Van Gogh spent a year. Take the guided Van Gogh walk through the village and travel on to Arles to spot more famous locations where he found inspiration for his works.
