Our stay on the hill

We stayed a month here and had a great time. Our host Sindy was very kind and helpful. We hope to return in the future!

A beautiful house in a wonderful environment

The property was up to our expectations. We had a wonderful stay. The kitchen is well equiped and functional. Conditioned air in the master bedroom was most appreciated. The Buenavista playa is 10 min walk away and downtown Samara 30 min. Sindy the local administrator is a lovely person and absolutely helpful. We ran out of gas for the cooking and we called her for help. She managed to be there with a replacement tank within minutes even if it was on new year evening!! I hope the property will still be available for rental next year!!!

Cancelled with <24 hours notice

Our stay was cancelled by the host while we were on the way to the airport due to them double-booking the property. I know it was an honest mistake by the host, but it put us in a very difficult position because everything else in town was booked up. We ended up losing 2 days of our vacation and a good amount of money while we scrambled to find somewhere to stay. We tried to use the VRBO rebooking line but they offered no help whatsoever.

Overall Good

Had a wonderful stay in Samara. The bed was comfy. Very good security. The washing machine was great! The kitchen needed a few more utensils, big spoons, good steak knives, no toaster, no salad bowl, we had to buy a lemon press, no good cleaning cloths for the kitchen & could not find a brush to clean the toilet. Lots of ants & termites even in our bed. You definitely need a vehicle because it’s very hot in January & is a 40 minute walk to the town of Samara, but only 10 minutes from Buenavista Beach which is the best place to watch sunsets. Walked a few times early in the morning & it was fine but you do need to get back.

Paradise

The Casa is located on the second last street before Plata Buena Vista. This beach, although not that safe to swim in is beautiful. The outside living space views monkeys, lizards, coati, and bats every day. As well as racoons at night. We all lived harmoniously together. The kitchen is full of useful appliances to cook meals at home. Sindy is always a quick text away if you need anything. We stayed for 36 nights, and I cried when we left. It is about a 1/2 walk into town but there are local sodas and imperial corner stores on the way. The beach to congreal is a closer beach that you can then walk along the beach to Samara beach and downtown. Wonderful restaurant/ bars.

Cottage life

Casa bella vista has everything required to live comfortably and quietly just on the outskirts of Samara. There are two bicycles to use at your convenience, and it’s about a ten minute ride to town. While relaxing at the casa there is a wide array of wildlife to be seen , monkeys yes monkeys! The property manager Erin is most helpful with any questions or concerns. Playa Buena Vista is another beautiful secluded beach only ten minute walk away. The town Of Samara has a charming beach vibe, with enough to see and do to stay busy on your stay. Be sure to go to Samara info centre and they will assist you with all your vacationing activities. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay to vacation here again. Dave

Functional House

Erin, the property manager was the star of this property with her warm welcome and continued responsiveness throughout out stay. Also very helpful (ahead of our stay) was the property owner who was responsive to my questions. We stayed two weeks here, cooked most of our meals & the kitchen was functional (we boiled water for dish washing & shaving). The appliances -- cooktop, oven, refrigerator, air conditioner, washing machine--were fairly new & in excellent working condition. We enjoyed dinner & mornings on the patio -- no mosquitos! At night we could cool both the kitchen/living room/ master bedroom with fans assist. The views are lovely with lots of fun visitors to watch in the treetops-- howler monkeys with babies on their backs, a coati family and raccoon family and many birds. The location is safe & convenient. Playa Buena Visita has unobstructed sunset views & is a 3 minute walk. Samara Beach and the town of Samara are a short bicycle ride. I would give it 5 stars overall, except for the shower.
