Beautiful family cottage w/pool in the heart of the Vicentine Coast

Our cottage "Casa Vicente" is located at the heart of the natural park named Costa Vicentina, right in the middle of the unique Urban Area called Vale da Telha. It's just a stone throw away from the most beautiful beaches located on the West Coast of the Algarve.
The location is near to ideal with a small grocery shop literally around the corner and two of the biggest restaurants within walking distance. This unique setup is perfect for enjoying almost a car free vacation.
5 minutes in each direction by car you find to the south Arrifana beach, a world class famous surfing spot. To the north you will encounter Monte Clérigo and Amoreira beach, the latter having a beautiful river mouth which on high tide is an ideal kids playground as it becomes a natural pool.
For those who prefer a mountainous surrounding, Monchique is only a 25 minute drive away. You will find all sorts picture perfect small towns along the way.
For the night owls and heavy partygoers Lagos and Portimão will cater to every hearts content, from street pubs to massive disco's.

Regarding our property, the land itself has an area of 1010 sqm. The house boasts a spacious dining room full of natural light. All three bedrooms have direct pool access. A barbecue is also available.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all electric appliances needed for cooking .
The pool is a freshwater pool surrounded by comfortable sunbeams.
For the winter clients, a central heating system is available as well as a wood stove. Wifi is readily available throughout the house.

Lovely villa and very well equipped. Handover lady only spoke french (at 90mph, at length, and non-stop!) but we got the main points! Very clean, except for the pool (which had not been cleaned prior to our visit, but was cleaned well on our second day, but never again even though he was supposed to come twice a week!). It is quite a windy area and got cool in the evenings and at night, unlike other parts of the Algarve in June. Some very nice (wild) beaches nearby. A couple of great value restaurants virtually next door.

Very confortable and well located

The house is very beautiful and spacious both inside and outside. Excellent location. Well equipped kitchen with all the necessary accessories for a longer stay. The outdoor space is very pleasant and well equipped (chairs, tables, grilling area, etc. Large swimming pool, very pleasant for children. Bathrooms with good maintenance.

Nice villa but very noisy surroundings

Neighbours' dogs barking days and nights, there is a night bar Hugo's bar, 5 minutes walking from the villa with noisy party drunky people leaving it between 3 and 4 AM every night except on Mondays and 4 trash containers opposite the gate of the villa, with the truck crane to empty them at 8 AM ! That's a pity because the villa and pool are nice and beach with surf spots great! AT 8:00 AM ( g

Good afternoon Nadya, we are sorry you encountered these issues. As mentioned in our exchanges, this is the first time that we receive this feedback that there is noise days and nights. The clients just before your stay and just after did not complain about this. The truck crane for the containers usually comes only twice a week, our neighbors usually put the dogs inside at night, the bar put the speakers inside after midnight. We had the best 3 weeks!

We had the most wonderful time here with friends and family. The house has everything you need to feel right at home and easily fits 6 adults (plus some kids), with space enough for a little privacy when needed- it never felt crowded. Everything was comfortable, tidy, enough linens & towels for everyone, plus a working washing machine & dishwasher. The pool was clean, very well kept and big enough to actually swim a bit! Any requests / problems we had were dealt with immediately. There's a minimarket, some cafés and restaurants in walking distance and the house is just 5 min away (by car) from the beaches of arrifana and monte clerigo. We will (have already, actually) recommend this place to our friends and will definitely try to make the time & come back next year!

Excellent, accommodating and responsive host

Lovely, clean villa with large spacious kitchen, dining and living area. Comfortable and cool even when the temperature got up into the low 30’s. A mixture of fitted fly screens, muslin drapes and window shutters allows the property to effectively be kept at a comfortable temperature, (day & night), without the use of energy guzzling air con. A great area with a very chilled vibe. Lots of amazing beaches, towns. villages, bars and restaurants within a short drive. Only 1 bar/ restaurant opened in the immediate area (30 seconds walk from the villa!), while we were there but 2 more had opened for the season on the morning we left. Fabienne is a pleasure to deal with - an efficient, responsive and pleasant communicator. Any queries or problems dealt with immediately. Great value. Would love to come again.

Descanso y desconexión en una ubicación fantastica

Me ha parecido ideal para familias de 5/6 personas. Una casa muy acogedora, amplia y con orientación norte sur que le proporciona una temperatura perfecta en verano. La piscina y barbacoa están geniales. La cocina realmente funcional y acogedora. Mis hijos se sintieron como en casa desde el primer día.

Una casa genial en un entorno perfecto!!

La casa es perfecta para lo que buscamos, un lugar tranquilo, con servicios, buen equipamiento y comodidades para 6 personas (4 adultos y 2 niños de 8 y 12 años). Es muy funcional, a la vez que cómoda y privada, la piscina y la barbacoa le dan un plus de actividades y disfrute que supimos aprovechar. El entorno y las playas, muchas playas espectaculares y muy cercanas (no más de 20 minutos), una gozada, al igual que el clima atlantico (calor contenido durante el día para disfrutar de las playas y fresco en la noche para dormir a gusto). Desde luego completamente recomendable. Volveremos!!!

Wir hatten eine tolle, erholsame Zeit in Aljezur. Die Unterkunft ist sehr gut ausgestattet und der Pool wurde regelmäßig geprüft. Die Hunde des Nachbarn haben viel gekläfft, aber das hat uns nicht wirklich gestört. Wir würden hier auf jeden Fall wieder Urlaub machen.

Fijn verblijf aan de westkust van de Algarve

Ons verblijf in Casa Vicente was fijn en goed. Het huis is perfect, alles is aanwezig, heerlijk zwembad, fijn een terras aan de achterzijde. Voor ons een klein nadeel, de ligging van het huis. Niet de locatie, op korte afstand van prachtige stranden. Maar helaas op een (voor ons) te druk punt: veel lawaai van het rest

Lovely Villa in a great Location

Really nice villa in a great location. Lovely private pool. Convenient for shops and beaches. Owners were very friendly and helpful, and their local cleaner was attentive but not intrusive. The old town of Aljezur is a just a few miles away and has some good shops and cafes. Would be delighted to come back another time

Kleines Paradies mit viel Platz

Das Haus hat alles was das Herz begehrt. Insbesondere der Aussenbereich mit dem grossen Pool lässt keine Wünsche offen. Dazu kommt die super Lage zu den Traumstränden in der Umgebung und die nette Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern. Einziger Minuspunkt für uns, die teilweise sehr laute Musik von Hugo's Bar bis spät in die Nacht. Aber trotzdem. Würden jederzeit wiederkommen. 5 Sterne

Local ideal para adultos e crianças desfrutarem de uns dias de férias muito agradáveis

Sabendo ser um local ventoso, a localização ao alpendre e piscina estão estrategicamente bem colocados de forma a estarem protegidos do vento norte e proporcionarem fins de tarde e noites agradáveis.
