Natalie’s cottage is a unique home in Strasbourg. Our family of 5 enjoyed restful sleep in comfortable beds, showering in endless hot water, preparing meals in the well appointed kitchen, eating meals at the roomy table, evening conversations in the living room with the lighted live Christmas tree. The entire cottage is thoughtfully decorated and preserves the history of centuries past. Short walks to grocery store, bakery & E tram to arrive in historic city center. It was a pleasure to meet you Natalie! Thank you for providing us a memorable time in Strasbourg - it felt like a home away from home. Merry Christmas!

We spent four days with friends in this lovely little cottage. It was our first visit to Strasbourg and things couldn’t have been more perfect. This 300 year old gîté retains the charm of an old house treated with love. The outside and much of the inside transports you back to the 1700s but it has been renovated to provide all of the needs a modern traveler would want: big modern, well equipped kitchen, big living area and good bathrooms (one upstairs and one down). The beds, both twins pushed together to make doubles, were comfortable enough but one bedroom has a low slanted ceiling so watch your head. Our hostess Corinne was an absolute pro and her availability and attentiveness made our stay a seamless one. We visit France often but had never been to Strasbourg. As Corinne warned us, parking a car in Strasbourg is not possible so we relied on the tram, a 10 minute walk away, to get us into the city. The tram is a sleek, contemporary jewel, easy to use and quick into town. And the city of Strasbourg, OMG, four days is not enough! So much to do and see. We arrived just before the famous Christmas Market opened and had the pleasure of watching the city transform itself. To us, Strasbourg had a strong Paris vibe in that it was filled with high end shops of all kinds: clothing, art and antiques, flowers, books and lots of interesting cafes and restaurants (try Umami for a unique fine dining experience). Thank you, Corinne for a great stay.

Das Haus ist toll eingerichtet und alles da, was man für den Urlaub braucht. Mit der Straßenbahn ist man in wenigen Minuten im Zentrum von Straßburg.

We absolutely loved this cottage. It’s even more charming and spacious in person! The beds are very comfortable and the attention to detail and effort put into the furniture and decor selection were well appreciated. We will definitely stay here again!!

What a beautiful property! So quaint with lots of antique details. We loved our stay here. Strasbourg is beautiful and we used Uber to get to the city center easily. Very good location for all Alsace has to offer, we were able to drive through many of the small towns. Our host was very very good with communication. Highly recommend this accommodation.

Great Place to Stay

It was a great place to stay the only thing I didn’t love was the lack of curtains in the downstairs bathroom facing the shower. However, it doesn’t face the street so someone would have to come on to property to see in so not a big concern. Loved it here and neighbor was adorable. Host was very nice and left an extremely helpful guide. Overall great experience!

History

If you love the ambience of a quaint cottage with beautiful decor, this is the place to stay. The cottage was very clean and the hostess was helpful. The location was near public transportation. We enjoyed our stay there and would loved to stay there again.

Gemütliches liebevoll eingerichtetetes Häuschen

Das Häuschen ist wirklich sehr schön und mit allem ausgestattet. Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und alles hat prima geklappt! In die Innenstadt kann man gut mit der Tram fahren.

A walk back into the 18th century

Natalie is an excellent host! The property was clean and appropriately warm when we walked in. The house was decorated in period decor for Christmas - a lovely touch!The home is well appointed with all the necessary amenities and the beds are incredibly comfortable!

Wir waren verliebt

Wir waren bei Ankunft direkt verliebt in das schnuckelige, urige 300 Jahre alte Häuschen. Es war gemütlich und mit liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Die Teils alte Einrichtung passt hervorragend zum Haus und man fühlte sich sehr wohl. Es war ruhig & warm. Nathalie war eine total liebe Gastgeberin & wir konnten im Vorfeld schon einiges klären. Das Haus liegt etwas außerhalb von Straßburg aber die Tramverbindung war perfekt und in kurzer Zeit zu erreichen. Wir sagen ein herzliches Danke für diesen schönen Aufenthalt und würden immer wieder buchen.

Urgemütliches Haus mit allem, was man braucht

Sehr schön renoviertes Fachwerkhaus mit allem, was man im Urlaub braucht,. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin. Gute Anbindung mit ÕPNV in die Innenstadt. Wirklich empfehlenswert!

Great place to get away

Cute cottage close to market and city Tram station. Natalie is friendly and helpful. The 300 year old cottage is cozy and reminiscent of the cottage in the movie the Holiday with all the modern comforts. Some additional lounging seating would be nice, but it met our needs for a short stay.

Sehr empfehlenswert!

Es war ein richtig toller Aufenthalt. Super Ausstattung, schön warm trotz altes Fachwerk und super Lage (waren mit eigenen Rädern da). Das Haus hat sehr viel Charme. Wären gern länger geblieben. Es hätten nur ein zwei Spinnenweben weniger sein können. Insgesamt aber sehr sauber!
