What a wunderful place!The house is so lovely, the swimmingpool amazing, large enough, 10 meters!Nearby Bordeaux, a nice city, vide-greniers, local market in Léognan, castle of Montesqeue, very interesting!With our children and their friends we had a very lovely time.The owners are very nice and helpfull.

Lovely relaxing stay.

The house and garden were beautiful with a great sports area nearby which my sons enjoyed. Communication with the owners was quick, easy and efficient. Sadly the pool was a little too cold to be able to enjoy unless it was very hot outside.

Family holiday

We had a great and relaxing time spent at the house. Plenty of space inside and outside. The pool was cold but didnt stop us all using it daily! House was very clean and comfortable and I'd recommend it to anyone wishing to take their family to the Bordeaux region. Easy commute into city centre and close to local shops and restaurants. Car needed.

Spacious and comfortable with a lovely pool

We were thrilled when we arrived at the house, it was even better than we expected and the hosts were friendly and helpful. There were plenty of provisions in the house such as dishwasher tablets, salt and pepper, sugar, herbs, oil etc which we were grateful for. The rooms were spacious and clean and the pool was a well used part of our stay. Plenty of outside space and lighting so that we could enjoy the outdoors late into the evening. We felt secure and private at the property too.

The house is lovely - very clean, beautifully furnished, with comfortable beds and everything you could need. The garden and pool area are lovely too.Unfortunately, we arrived on 24 July - when there were wildfires to the south-west of Bordeaux. A couple of hours after we arrived, the air totally changed: it started to smell very smoky. The sun was covered with smoke. Ash started to fall in the pool. We went inside, then talked to some neighbours to find out what we should do.The next day it was no better, and the fires were 20km closer to the house. We decided to go inland to St Emilion to see if the air quality was better, as we could not go outside. That evening, we booked alternative accommodation two hours inland.That night, communes close to the house were evacuated. Inside, the house smelled smoky. We left at 6am.It was a really stressful, sad experience.Throughout, the house owners were very helpful. Vrbo was not. They did not want to offer any refund, even though it was impossible for us to stay in the house we had spent 2500 euros on. They made things as difficult as possible for us and the owners. We finally agreed to pay the owners for the nights we had spent in the house.The whole experience had made me never want to book with Vrbo again: their customer service has been terrible, Non-existent. All they care about is their money.

Very nice house near Bordeaux

We had a very nice stay in this spacious house. The swimmingpool was perfect and there is a beautiful garden, almost like a forest. The communication with the owners was perfect via textmessages and e-mail. I was happy with the Nespresso-machine :-) and the fridge which provided us with icecubes. The beds were fine, so were the two bathingrooms. The E-Leclerk was nearby and Saint Emilion, Bordeaux and the coast are nearby from Gradignan. We realy had a wonderful time here! Thank you Laurent!

Highly Recommended

Our Family stayed here for a week. The house was lovely, with lots of space. Large open plan living room, Dining area and kitchen with doors opening out to the pool area. Plenty of spacious bedrooms. The Pool and garden area attracted us in the first place, and it didn't disappoint. There is plenty of space to chill out and play games after spending the day exploring Bordeaux. Spots in the sun, or shady spots when it gets too warm. The host also provided a gas BBQ area by the pool which was very useful. We travelled by car, and made use of the Park and Ride facilities for the Tram system for accessing Bordeaux City. The nearest park and ride was close by at the "Parc-relais Arts & Métiers". For 4.50 Euro you get a full day parking in a secure Multi Storey Car Park, and this includes return travel on the Tram for up to 7 people into the centre of Bordeaux. There are local vinyards to visit, and a trip to Saint-Émilion and its numerous vineyards just under an hour away is a must for a day visit. We didn't have time to visit the local beeches on this trip. The local village of Gradignan is close by with everything you need from Groceries, Boulangerie, & Pharmacie. There are a variety of lovely restaurants serving typical French menus and more. There is a large eLeclerc Supermarket close by. We highly recommend this property and its hosts for families with young and older children. We would recommend a stay in this family home to anyone wishing to visit Bordeaux

Casa muy comoda y agradable. Con accesos rapidos a las autopistas.

Su gran cocina-salon , con varias puertas a la terraza y piscina,la hacen muy agradable y relajante para la convivencia de las 8 personas que esta preparada. El detalle de disponer en la casa de siete bicis , a disposicion del usuario, es para tenerlo en cuenta, ya que en su entorno hay caminos y viales adecuados para disfrutar de buenos paseos.

Der Kontakt zum Vermieter war hervorragend. Die Unterkunft ist wie beschrieben, sehr geräumig und sauber.Die Kommentare zum kalten Pool kann ich gar nicht nachvollziehen. Bei 30-40 Grad Lufttemperatur eine wohltuende Abkühlung.Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.Ebenso ist die Lage perfekt als Ausgangspunkt um die Umgebung zu erkunden.

Mooie woning met prachtige tuin en zwembad

We hebben een fijne vakantie gehad in deze ruime woning met grote tuin en een fijn zwembad. De bedden en kussens waren prima! Communicatie met de eigenaar verliep soepel via de Vrbo-app en sms. De omgeving is prachtig: veel bossen en wijngaarden.

Beautiful! Perfect for our family holiday.

We had a really fantastic holiday. An excellent house, with everything we could wish for - and more! The pool and garden are beautiful and were perfect for our family of 8. We loved the area - very close to Bordeaux, Dune du Pilat and coastal towns. The locals are very friendly and excellent communication with the owners. Thank you so very much we'd love to visit again soon.

Gradignan

Wir sind auf unserer Frankreich-Reise mehr oder weniger zufällig in Gradignan gelandet und haben es nicht bereut. Vorher waren wir in La Teste de Buch, mussten den Ort aber wegen der Waldbrände verlassen. Und so kamen wir nach Gradignan in das Haus von Laurent und Rita. Dort konnten wir uns wunderbar erholen. Der Pool ist groß und sauber, das Haus auch. Der Garten ist toll und weitläufig. Das Haus selber ist innen eher skandinavisch eingerichtet (was wir sehr schön finden und daheim auch bevorzugen ;-)) Bordeaux ist nicht weit und kann von dort aus wunderbar besichtigt werden. Insgesamt war alles sehr unkompliziert, auch der Kontakt zu den Vermietern. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit dort und können es sehr empfehlen. Merci Rita et Laurent :-)

Superbe maison autour de la piscine

Je recommande la maison qui est très bien situé tout proche de Bordeaux avec tous le confort à l'intérieur. Seul petit bémol, pas de micro-onde mais on s'est débrouillé autrement.

Agréable environnement

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette belle demeure bien adaptée à nos besoins. Beaucoup d'espace extérieure comme intérieure, une piscine agréable (dommage qu'elle ne soit pas chauffée) pour se rafraîchir durant les fortes chaleurs. Endroit calme et reposant. Tout est à proximité. La petite ville de Gradignan est également très conviviale où il fait bon vivre. Une excellente boucherie et boulangerie. La maison est bien située pour visiter les alentours notamment les différents domaines viticoles et faire de belles ballades en vélo. Et propriétaire très sympathique et disponible. Bon contact.

Super séjour dans le bordelais

On a loué la propriété pour une semaine entre amis et la maison se prête bien aux retrouvailles, surtout la piscine. La situation géographique est idéale, la maison est bien équipée et la communication avec Mr Cumenal et d'autant plus facile qu'il est très attentionné avec ses locataires.

Magnifique demeure où il fait bon vivre

Excellent séjour pour les grands comme les enfants. Villa magnifique avec son jardin bucolique où il fait bon se reposer à l'ombre des pins, se prélasser au bord de la piscine éclairée le soir, et profiter d'un intérieur moderne et cosy. Très bien située pour découvrir la région bordelaise. Les propriétaires sont charmants et disponibles. Une seule petite remarque cependant : le lave linge devrait sans doute être changé et le four nettoyé. Bref rien qui ne nous ait empêché de passer un excellent séjour. À l'unanimité, nous aimerions tous y retourner.

Tres jolie et tres grande maison

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour, dans une grande maison très agréable. Tout est mis à disposition des hôtes, qui ne manquent de rien. Le jardin est tres agreable et lorsque l’on est coté piscine, on est parfaitement isolé de la route, au calme. La temperature reste modérée à l’interieur malgré la canicule et la maison prend bien le fraks la nuit. Parfait.

Séjour sympathique

Nous avons séjourné à 2 familles ( 4 adultes et 4 enfants) en juillet. La localisation de la location est très bien, pas de vis à vis, très calme et toutes les commodités à proximité. La piscine un vrai plus ! Le propriétaire est très disponible en cas de besoin, même à distance. Le seul bémol pour nous a été la propreté un peu trop approximative à notre goût. Néanmoins le séjour à été très sympa et nous en avons bien profité !

Wonderful house

We stayed two weeks in this wonderful house in Gradignan. The house is perfect with a huge living room, and a very nice outside with the swimming pool. The surroundings are very nice and it is possible to reach by car in a short time Leognan, Bordeaux, St.Emilion (wine....) or the ocean at Cap Ferret or Arcachon. Importantly, very easy to speak for any issue with the owner.

We care deeply about nature; we compost, sort our waste for recycling, and provide water for the birds and squirrels in the summer.

We chose this house because it is right next to a small forest and the vineyards. We go for walks there every evening; we often spot rabbits in the vineyards. There is also a larger forest 500 meters away, with a *pala* court and rugby and football pitches.
The centrum with shop and restaurant is 1,5 km from our house.
