Isabel and her home were absolutely delightful. It was an easy two minute walk to town in the house was lovely with all the amenities you needed. Isabel made check in simple. Would highly recommend this home.

Lovely spacious house with great amenities. Nice outdoor area and parking right at the door. Top location for 5 min walk to restaurants or stores but quiet for a sleep in. 30min walk or short drive and park at railway station for train to many places. Kitchen very well stocked for cooking. All 3 bedrooms are upstairs with main bathroom downstairs. Ensuite shower is good. We loved our stay here and would definitely recommend to others.

So nice to walk in to Saint Emillion instead to look for a parking. The house was very clean. We really enjoyed the house and our stay in Isabelle’s house.

It was fantastic! The location was great and it was spacious and well equipped. So clean!!! The grocery store and butcher shop are a 5 minute walk away. The setting is perfect as you are on the edge of town and surrounded by vineyards. Walk a few minutes and you have your choice of restaurants. Large outdoor area to sit and enjoy the sunshine. Host is very responsive.

Outstanding stay!

We were looking for a place close to St Emilion and this checked all the boxes!! Lovely home with excellent amenities in the the kitchen and a comfortable space for friends and family. Five minute walk into the picturesque village of St Emilion. Very quiet and a bonus was walking through the local vineyards on their many trails. Our host, Isabelle, was very responsive and helpful.

Home away from home

This is our second stay in this house and we enjoyed it as much as our first. The house is very well equipped and comfortable and in a fabulous location. Although it is only a short walk to the centre of the village its location provides you with a quiet haven away from the tourist bustle. Isabelle is a wonderful host and provides lots of information on the location including restaurants and chateaus to visit. This is definitely on our 'come back' list.

Marvellous Location

The location of this property is excellent for visiting St Emilion. This is a wonderful family home which is maintained to an immaculate standard so you need to treat the property with the greatest respect. Isabelle is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. This is a first class property with all amenities supplied to have a wonderful experience in St Emilion. I would highly recommend

Perfect location for a visit to Saint Emilion

You really cannot get a better location for a rental house in Saint Emilion. Just a block or so away from the center of town. The house was very nice with a big, well-equipped kitchen and plenty of room for 4-6 people. The outside front lawn is fantastic for sitting around the table, sipping local wines and playing cards. For American tourists, just be aware there are 2 toilettes and neither is in a bedroom. It was not a problem for us, but I know sometimes it is confusing trying to understand what constitutes a 'bathroom' in France. If you have not visited Saint Emilion, just be aware that about 4-5 tour buses show up every day and the streets are packed with tourists, then they leave in the evening. The shops there really cater to the tourists, so everything is pretty expensive. Isabelle is very responsive and very easy to work with. I would highly recommend this property if you want to visit Saint Emilion and the region!

Beautiful Gite in a Great Location

The house is large and beautifully maintained. It is in a perfect location in St. Emilion and was a good place to be a springboard for travel around the vineyards in the area. The house was very tastefully decorated. There was a nice outside sitting area. There are two large bedrooms upstairs. One has a shower and sink in the bedroom. Between the two bedrooms is a toilet room. There is a full bathroom with toilet and shower downstairs. The placement of the bathrooms made sharing them a bit awkward with figuring out which to use. A toilet in the bedroom shower room would really help. The owner initially seemed abrupt (she showed some irritability with me not understanding how to work the shutters). There were a number of rules to follow (not walking on the carpeting with shoes, the shutters) that seemed overwhelming and made us quite cautious throughout the time of our stay. Aside from that I would still heartily recommend the Gite and the owner was very nice when we checked out.
