Townhouse with roof terrace in picturesque Mediterranean village

This 2 bedroom townhouse is located in the 17th century village of Marseillan on the Languedoc coast, next to the Mediterranean lagoon of the Étang de Thau, about 1 km to the east of the Canal du Midi. A short walk from the village centre in a quiet street, but within the sound of the church chimes, this old town house is set over three floors and boasts many modern features. Two en-suite bedrooms are located on the ground and first floors. The second floor living area includes open plan kitchen-diner-lounge; whilst a south facing roof terrace is ideal for al fresco dining on the warm Mediterranean evenings. Facilities include air-conditioning in the bedrooms and living area, TV with UK satellite channels (FreeSat) and French channels via broadband, DVD player, wireless Internet access and washing machine. In the ground floor lobby area there are two bicycles that may be used by the tenant. Marseillan has over 20 great restaurants and bars. Nearby family friendly beaches are located at Marseillan Plage and Plage Robinson within a short drive or bicycle ride.

Nive Vacation in Marseillan

Thank you very much for a such nice vacation in Marseillan. The house is wonderful, technical in a modern status. Marseillan is brilliant and a got starting point for trios to the beach and other cuktural destination.

Very comfortable, and very conveniently located to explore Marseillan

The house was just as good as we remembered it from our initial stay back in 2010. Inside it is very clean, tidy and comfortable, with excellent facilities in the kitchen, living room and bathrooms. The beds are very comfortable, with excellent bed linen. The house is very centrally located, allowing quick and easy access to the town centre, and only a short stroll to the harbour area for eating, drinking and people-watching...perfect!!

Brilliant documentation

The house in the old village is in walking distance from the port (restaurants), the market and many small shops like bakery. If you don't mind a few stairs, you will thoroughly enjoy the house with the roof-top terrace. We very much appreciated the documents we received before check in, with plenty of useful tips regarding parking, shopping etc, and helpful information about the house itself (key box, satellite dish, Wifi etc.). We are looking forward to coming back!

Wunderschönes und außerordentlich gut ausgestattetes Ferienhaus im Herzen von Marseillan, einer charmanten und lebhaften Kleinstadt am Etang de Thau und am Ausgang des Canal du Midi. Sehr gut eingerichtete Küche, gemütlicher Wohn- und Essbereich. Zwei große Schlafzimmer mit jeweils eigenem Bad. Perfekte Lage nur wenige Gehminuten vom Marktplatz entfernt. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt und unsere Zeit trotz einiger Regentage genossen. Sehr freundlicher Vermieter, der sich bei einem Problem mit dem W-LAN sofort gemeldet hat und uns weiterhelfen konnte. Fazit: wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wie immer hat alles reibungslos geklappt, und zur Begrüssung stand eine Flasche Rosé im Kühlschrank (Danke, Anders!)Superlage: Bäckerei, Metzgerei, Supermarkt, Markt, Hafen mit Restaurants, alles in GehdistanzAuch im Oktober ist die Dachterrasse mit Blick über die Altstadt sehr sonnig und warm und lädt zu ausgedehntem Apéro ein.

La location se trouve au calme et proche de tous les commerces, d'où l'on peut facilement y aller à pied. Marseillan est une ville où l'on peut se promener agréablement. Les marseillans sont accueillants. Nous y retournerons sûrement hors saison pour mieux découvrir la région.

Séjour de 2 semaines au top! Une adresse qui restera dans notre top 3 des meilleurs endroits où séjourner pendant ses vacances.La maison sur 3 étages offre le confort d’un vrai chez soi. Avec une salle de bain - wc attenante à chacune des chambres, et une chambre par palier, chacun a pu profiter de son espace. La maison est vraiment complète: cuisine équipée, matériel de plage fourni, et même 2 vélos à disposition.Nous espérons y revenir très vite avec nos 2 enfants.

Maison de village rénovée proche du centre sur trois étages, le troisième étant une petite terrasse avec une belle vue sur les toits et le clocher de l'église. Tout c"est bien passé et était conforme à la description. Le chauffage se fait par air pulsé climatisé, ce qui n'est pas très agréable, et les draps housse étaient trop petits. Seuls bémols. Merci à Anders pour sa disponibilité à répondre à nos questions par internet.

Wie immer ein schöner Aufenthalt

Wir waren zum dritten Mal im Ferienhaus in der Altstadt von Marseillan und haben uns wohl gefühlt. Die Lage ist toll. Man ist mittendrin und dennoch ist es ruhig.

Tolles Stadthaus in Marseillan

Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Mitten im Ort gelegen, nah zur Boulangerie und zu allem anderen. Unser Auto konnten wir immer in der Nähe parken. Die Kommunikation mit Anders war top, er hat schnell und unkompliziert reagiert, als die Handtücher und die Bettwäsche für die 3. Person, die wir nachgemeldet hatten, doch gefehlt haben. Für die Sauerkeit haben wir einen Stern abgezogen. Die Klimaanlage haben wir im September nicht nutzen müssen. Auf der Dachterrasse fehlt jedoch der Sonnenschutz. Wir konnten hier jede Mahlzeit genießen, wir haben uns mit einem Sonnenschirm beholfen, den wir am Tisch befestigt haben. Ansonsten wäre es zu warm gewesen. Hier wäre eine Dauerlösung wünschenswert und wird von Anders auch überlegt! Zum Strand sind wir mit dem Auto gefahren, kein Problem im September. Es war alles an Parkplätzen frei. Wir konnten eine entspannte Woche genießen und bedanken uns für das schöne Haus!

Hübsches Häuschen in der Altstadt an sehr ruhiger Lage. Zu Fuss 5 Minuten zum Markt, Bäcker, Metzger, Supermarkt; 10 Minuten zum Hafen. Parkplätze auch etwa 5 Min. zu Fuss.

Typique maison de ville

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour, maison très agréable. il y a tout ce qu'il faut. Juste un soucis à notre arrivée, la climatisation était éteinte, il faisait très chaud dans la maison. on a eu du mal à la mettre en route, il faudrait les notices des appareils en français. Des stores occultants seraient un plus à la fenêtre et à la porte qui donne sur la terrasse pour empêcher la chaleur de rentrer la journée. Nous avons eu un doute sur le ménage , une serviette non pliée humide derrière la porte de la salle de bain, vasque et douche non nettoyée car cheveux, lit non fait, drap housse douteux donc enlevé et mis à laver le lendemain. Cuisine rangée et propre mais sol non serpillé. le ménage final qui je pense doit être fait par la personne engagée par le propriétaire, pour nous, n'a pas été fait. Dommage, mais pas facile à contrôler lorsque l'on n'habite pas à côté.

Wunderschönes Townhouse!

Tolle Lokation direkt am Ortszentrum, exzellenter Service des Vermieters, viel Platz im Haus, besonderes Flair, tolle Dachterrasse perfekt für Mahlzeiten, Lesen und Sonnenbaden über den Dächern des Ortes mit Blick auf den Kirchturm. Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Einfach rundum klasse! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Marvelous in Marseillan

#7 was perfect in many ways for my wife and me. Ideal location, comfy bedrooms, well-equipped kitchen, bikes provided, top floor terrace with lovely views of the church clock tower and surrounding tiled roofs. Our hosts were most accommodating. We hesitate to tell too many people about Marseillan and #7....they are marvelous just as they are.

Fully-Outfitted Apartment in Quiet Neighborhood

The host has thought of everything in this modern, thoughtfully decorated apartment. Not only is the kitchen equipped with quality dishes, glassware and accessories, but there's a small office with good Wi-Fi and even a storage area with everything you need for the beach. We especially enjoyed the roof-top terrace where we could enjoy the day or evening sky.

Wunderbar renoviertes Stadthaus

Das Haus entsprach genau den Angaben der hilfreichen Vermieter und den Photos. Es war alles vorhanden, was man sich für einen entspannten Familienurlaub im Süden Frankreichs wünschen kann. Ein großes Dankeschön und bis zum nächsten Mal!

We are a Swedish couple from the Stockholm area, who have been enjoying vacations in the south of France for some years. In 2014 we decided to get our own house in France as a holiday resort for us and our children.

We looked at many places, but decided on Marseillan, because it is close to the sea, and within cycling distances to beaches. At the same time, Marseillan is very picturesque with its old town centre and the nice port, that houses many restaurants. Also, the property is nicely renovated, large enough to house the whole family and has a lovely roof terrace, which was a must.
