Disappointing experience despite beautiful location
The apartment is nicely furnished and the location in Solenzara is beautiful, but our stay was far from relaxing.There were two active construction sites right next to the apartment, with loud machinery starting early every morning. Additional renovation work began inside the building during our stay, directly next to or above us.As we were traveling with our 8-month-old baby, the constant noise made naps and rest nearly impossible. To make things worse, the apartment is located very close to a military airport, with jets flying overhead every 30 minutes – another major disturbance.The communication with the rental agency was slow, and while a small refund was offered, it didn’t compensate for the disruptions. The construction work outside seems far from over and will likely continue throughout the summer.The cleanliness level was not up to standard – ventilation units were dusty and some areas not properly cleaned. Additionally, we were surprised to learn after our arrival that the mattress protectors must be washed by previous guests, which is unacceptable from a hygiene perspective.Pool access is limited to 8:30–13:00 and 15:00–20:00. No umbrellas are available, making it hard to find shade.The area is lovely, but the apartment and surrounding conditions were disappointing. Important details should be clearly communicated before booking.
