Yes, historic homes are somewhat challenging on the doors, I wish there was a better solution to get to the backyard. We are just thankful that we have one! Our instructions for getting into the home were correct, but the battery for the lock was not working. So I have replaced the batteries. I will double check the internet connections but there are 3 sattelites in the home to insure good coverage. I will look at the vents and see if perhaps someone closed one, but the house has natural gas heat and it often has to be turned down to 68 otherwise it feels too hot. I love our location in downtown Wendell in the historic district, and as with many historic locations, they are often on the main roads and thoroughfares. It makes it convenient to be able to walk to stores and shops, but like with most city downtown districts, it is a hopping place!

I appreciate you taking time to give us some constructive criticisms. There were 2 more trashcans in the cabinet by the sink with trash bags underneath, and Maria usually leaves at least 2 extra rolls of toilet paper and paper towels in the hall closet. The crib sheets were in the master closet. Had you asked me, I could have told you where they were. I hope you saw the first aid kits, travel toothbrushes, spices, wax paper, aluminum foil, sugar, coffee, tea, and sanitary items we provide. Maria and I have worked very hard to try to think of everything and anything that someone would need. None of which is required that we do, but I hope you can see the effort we put forth to be as accommodating as possible. Just as a sidenote a 4 from your review is the equivalent of an 80, and does not give us credit or include some of the things we did over and beyond what was expected. I would be happy to extend a 15% discount for your next stay. I am sorry you had trouble finding things, but I was just a phone call and 8 minutes away and would rather had known you needed things and been able to provide them, instead of finding out after the fact and get a bad review. Renting these homes is a large part of my income as a single mother and keeping a Five Star rating is tantamount to our success. We did go over and beyond to provide immediate responses to your requests, this is what we would like to have seen in our public review and then you could mentioned these items to me privately. But I appreciate your honesty and help. I am always striving to make our rentals better! I had issues on the VRBO rating portion tried 3 times to submit. I’d be happy to adjust that rating- wasn’t looking to affect you or the VRBO business aspect- just was trying to inform. My delayed response is due to the fact we just got home from our travels out south late last night and had the time to share now. No need for discount, we were extremely happy with the house. You’re absolutely correct in the fact I should have contacted you directly. . Again, I’m so sorry that affected your rating.
