Charming Fireplace! Walk to Alberta Arts SilverStar cottage in NE Portland.

Come stay in our sweet guesthouse! The Silver Star cottage is in our backyard but very separate with its own city lane access. The gas fireplace and heated bathroom floor are luxurious winter amenities! It has a full kitchen and 1 (QUEEN) bedroom & bath. There is a couch in the airy living space that opens into a DOUBLE bed. (Please note the bathroom is en suite, so access is through bedroom) Also important for some folks: The Cottage does NOT have a TV. Lots of beautiful wood and a cozy vibe. We are 1 block from the fabulous Alberta Art Street but far enough away that it s quiet here. Perfect! Walk to shops, restaurants, parks, stores. Easy to get anywhere in our gorgeous city from here. We have AC window unit May-October.

Portland Oregon stay

We love this place. When we go visit our son and DIL we try to book this place. The place is so clean in a great area and the owners are so accommodating. The place is decorated nicely and everything thing is provided. We like it because we can really enjoy relaxing without any hassles. We have stayed twice and each time did not disappoint

Alberta Arts District tiny house

Everything was as described in the listing. Quiet neighborhood. A helpful “welcome binder” offered instructions and tips. I had a terrific visit with my son who lives nearby.

Cozy little cottage, close to son’s home

We stayed in this property because it looked clean and was near our son’s home. It turned out to be perfect… cozy, clean and had everything we needed. We had trouble tuning on the fire place but when the owner came immediately and helped us, we realized it was operator error… us! Delightful home away from home.

Cute place to stay

We enjoyed the property and the owners were very responsive to any requests we had. Great location and very close to Alberta Street with many places to eat and shop. Property was very nice and not on a busy street with noise.

Very clean. Perfect set up for 3 people. Both the bed and sofa bed were very comfortable. Great location, only a block from the Alberta Arts shops and restaurants. Layout worked very well for the three of us.

Quiet stay in great diverse neighbourhood

This is a lovely place to get away. Quiet and in walking distance of a great local neighbourhood with food carts, coffee shops, barbers, groceries, bike stores and more. We stayed with bikes and Atty and Otto were kind enough to provide a locked storage shed. Our hosts were great - extremely helpful when we needed help, but otherwise left us to our own devices.

Hidden gem

In an alley we found our place - a beautiful cottage! It's really gorgeous with a complete kitchen and washer/dryer. It is one block away from a commercial district with donuts, ice cream, several restaurants and bars. Talk about location! Couldn't have been happier with our stay.

Gem of a Cottage

This small cottage is well maintained, extremely clean and comfortable. The owners are responsive and close by if you need anything. We loved the location, ease of walking to what we needed and quiet in the evening and morning. Will definitely come back here on our next trip to Portland.

Great spot in Portland!

We had a great stay at the Silver Star Cottage. The location can't be beat as it's nestled right in the middle of the Alberta Arts District with walkable access to great restaurants, bars, boutiques and nightlife. The cottage was very comfortable and well appointed. We'll definitely keep this place in mind the next time we're in Portland!

Charming cottage

This place is great! The gas fireplace was wonderful in the snowy weather! Very nice and well equipped kitchen. Lots of attention to details in the construction and décor in the space. Very welcoming and comfortable.

Nice date night

Good clean space. Perfect for a night away. Good access to the city. The fire place was cute, but not really enough to warm the space during the cold seasons. So plan accordingly.

Comfortable and inviting

The Silver Star cottage in Alberta was a great choice for our stay in Portland. It was clean, comfortable, attractive and well-appointed. Atty and Otto communicated well in an informative notebook about the house and community and by messaging. The cottage is conveniently located for walking to shops, restaurants, parks and to the grocery store. We hope to stay in the cottage again on our next trip to Portland.

Host thought of every thing

Unit was modern and had all the conveniences we'd want. Especially warm and cozy, and very close to Alberta District which we enjoyed for shopping and dining. We recommend this unit.

Cozy and convenient

Staying in the Silver Star Cottage was a very nice experience given its cozy feeling and convenient location in the Alberta district, close to restaurants and the Alberta Rose Theatre. The hosts were very accommodating and responsive. We would consider staying here again when we are back in the area. The only drawback is it is a bit hard to find in the dark and parking is not at the unit, but out on the street. Otherwise, it was quiet and very clean.

Easily Exceeds Expectations

A quiet, immaculate, separate, sparkling-clean dwelling equipped with everything you need—and zero clutter or weirdness. Hosts went over & above expectations in offering flexibility given our sudden need to leave our Portland home for a few days during construction and find a place to work remotely from. The Alberta street provided a variety of food and groceries. I will be recommending this oasis to our out-of-town guests.
