WHISTLEPUNK #24 - 4 BEDROOMS, 3 BATHS: BEDDING Master BR: Pillowtop King Bed, TV/DVD, Private Full Bath, BR#2: Pillowtop King Bed. Top Floor. BR #3: Pyramid Bed - Double down, Single up, TV/DVD, BR #4: Kids Bunk Room with 2 Sets of Bunk Beds, flat screen TV/DVD. Ski Storage Area. Wood fireplace (wood provided). Great Room with Loft Ceilings. Washer/Dryer. The Living Room and Deck overlook the slopes. Ski chalet feel with a wonderful floor plan for 2 families with a bunch of kids. Two master bedrooms, one upstairs, one down. The main floor kids' room sleeps 3. Upstairs bunk room sleeps 4. The unit is just off Whistlepunk Trail, a Novice run leading to the entire trail system. Across the street from the Double Black Diamond trails of Western Territory.

Wonderful stay!

Great location. Well-equipped kitchen. Had a minor maintenance issue that was attended to very promptly. Would stay again.

60th birthday trip

We had a blast. This condo was well described but still exceeded our expectations. We were very comfortable and able to do all we wanted. The wood burning fire place was a nice bonus.

Fun and good proximity to ski lift and town

We had a great time celebrating the new year with friends and kids. We called for a small repair and the maintenance crew was very responsive.

Classic Chalet

Whistlepunk 24 worked out great for our group. Easy access to both sides of the mountain allowed us to eat all of our meals there and spend as much time skiing as we wanted to. The wood-burning fireplace made it cozy for relaxing after a long day. We’d love to stay there again sometime.

A lot of space

It was difficult to find. Buildings were not well marked. Codes did not work. It was dark and freezing. Once we were in, we had a lot of room. Very well equipped. Nice location. We had a great time.

Good trip!

Overall it was a good rental. All of the amenities were great for a large gathering. Was very disappointed that all throughout the listing it said Ski in/Ski out and no mention of it being seasonal. The back of the condo steps (ski in/out) was mud and we had to walk 100 yards to get to the slopes which was disheartening. I called the manager to try to make this right in some way and nothing was done. All in all is was a good trip, but would have rented somewhere else if the add would have said ski in/ski out was only seasonal and dependent on weather.

Perfect spot for our first family ski trip

Whistlepunk 24 was the ideal setting for our first family ski trip. We were graced with near perfect weather during our stay, but it was COLD (6 below one night). Not in the condo though! Well-stocked firewood and the amazing fireplace and hearth kept the place cozy, along with effective radiant heaters placed throughout the two floors. Only hitch was the door code provided pre-arrival didn’t work, so property management had to be contacted. That delayed getting into the condo but once we did, a fire was built and the good times commenced! Would definitely rent again.

Great location

We were 8 people, two families with teenagers. The 4 bedrooms slept 8 people comfortably. We appreciated the two king beds! The location of the property is awesome for ski in/ski out and parking was directly outside the unit with a secured parking lot. We brought all of our food and we were glad that we did because the grocery store is a small market with high priced pantry items. Great in a pinch but terrible for a full shop. It snowed the entire time we visited Snowshoe, and highly recommend anyone who visits the resort to have 4 wheel drive. The roads to access the resort are steep, windy, and covered with ice and snow. Be aware that there is no network for much of the drive through the mountains in WV. Bring a printed copy of your driving directions. There were limited plows and parking lots are also covered in snow. We were glad to cook in and the kitchen was well stocked with clean pots and pans, and the appliances worked well. The place offered plenty of kindling and firewood (although it sizzled and needed more drying out time to burn properly). Bring newspaper and matches if you want to make a fire. The wifi worked GREAT and we were all able to access the internet for work and play. We were unable to make voice calls but video calls worked fine. Also, we were unable to use cell phones while skiing so we recommend bringing a walky talky. The ski conditions were great and fun for the whole family. Lift lines were long on Saturday and Sunday but no wait on Monday and Tuesday. If I came back to Snowshoe, I’d happily stay in Whistlepunk 24 again, although the price was more expensive, it is convenient and comfortable.
