We had a wonderful time. The staff was kind and very professional. Check-in was easy and our small room was clean. Loved the pool and the area in back was an amazing, relaxing oasis directly on the water. The only negative was the place needed some renovation.

We really enjoyed this property. There was a mix up on the room when we got there, but it was later in the evening. It was handled promptly the next day by the manager.The place is going under a lot of renovations on the outside area, it is going to be really nice. The fishing is probably good, unfortunately it rained allot.Overall stay was good, great communication and clean room.

Beautiful pool

We were very surprised how warm the pool was in February. We live in Florida, but enjoyed being surrounded by beautiful water, and a peaceful location. With relaxing area outside on the water, or the pool in front.

Thr property was nice. Pool out front. Nice large deck in the back over the canal. Its basically just a motel room. My issues weren't with the property itself. Unfortunately, I had a couple on the second floor who just screamed at each other and fought my whole first evening, as well as a large portion of the next morning. Between the yelling cursing and dogs barking, it was not ideal. Not the resorts fault, but it greatly impacted my experience.

absolutely cool little place!!!

Really nice little place, well stocked with supplies, separate bedroom, and living room… Living room TV could be bigger, lol… But everything else was great!!!! the rear of the property, huge stuck on the water… Well worth the price!!!

Rundown but Cute

Staff was very friendly. Hotel itself was pretty ran down and the location wasn’t great. It was cheap and served the purpose of a place to rest and hot water.

Comfortable

Very accommodating. The room needs some repair work from water damage on the plaster walls. The room also needs more power outlets that are easy to access. The evenings spent on the beautiful dock make the whole stay a win.

Would like have a suite downstairs..steps to hard for Marcia.

Nice & quiet at night so you could sleep…pool was great… we didn’t explore or use the canal area as we should have…cleaned our room very well..the laundry service was excellent!!! We would stay again; if we could have a suite downstairs would be great..Marcia has a hard time w/stairs.

This was a motel

The property manager was very friendly. However the pool closed at dusk so we never got to use it. We had multiple people smoking on the walk way to our room-I have asthma. There was questionable privacy with the vertical blinds and we found large hair balls in the bathroom.

Horrible place not a resort

Room was not what picture was, smelled like cigarettes, had a car freshener trees “black ice” taped to the bedroom wall, smoke detector hanging from ceiling, listing showed two beds and only one bed in the room upon arrival, family with several kids living in the one bedroom unit below with kids running everywhere, someone was fixing a ln old 78 Buick in front of the building and the host was not the individual listed on the vrbo contact. The door looked as though it had been kicked in and never fixed and would not close properly. I asked for my money back and was told no. This place is NOT a resort.

I asked for a 2 queen bed room and after driving 22 hours I was told I had a room with 1 full bed. Very disappointed. It smelled terrible and was very shabby. We could not upgrade because they were booked solid. I would not recommend this place. We left after the first night and lost our money for the second night we had already paid for. They would not refund the money. They said it was at their discretion which room we got. Just because 2 adults rent a room it doesn’t mean they want to sleep in the same bed together. That’s why it should not be at their discretion.

Beware the bait and switch

I booked a room via VRBO based on the photos in the listing. The listing had a room with a couch, reclaimed wood wall and one (some had two) queen beds. However, when I arrived I was shown to a TINY room with a queen size bed and table (no couch, wall, etc.) I went down to the office to inquire about the room, but was told that I selected that room. However, at no point during the purchase process was there a selection to be made. The listing was the listing and I based it off of what photos were in the listing… I was told to get ahold of VRBO to discuss the listing… i decided instead to write my honest review . After talking to other guests while at the pool, they all claimed they were duped in the same way. They told horror stories on the blood stained mattresses… yes, blood stained, and the 2 a.m. knock on the door from a prostitute’s pimp that accidentally knocked on the wrong door. AVOID this place!!!
