Isla Venado is a private island located in the exclusive area of Ciénaga Cholon. The island boasts an area of 15,000 square meters, with the rough open sea on one side and the calm bay of Cholon on the other.

Cienaga Cholon is the most exclusive island area near Cartagena, Colombia. You ll be getting the ultimate experience since there s nothing like being in a private island. You can reserve scuba diving and snorkeling trips, as well as jet skies, and other fun aquatic activities with the booming industry around the area.

The island has 5 bedrooms, each with 2 queen size beds, air conditioning, ceiling fan, mini fridge, a fully equipped bathroom and stunning views anywhere you look. There is an ample living room, dining room, study and a cozy seaside lounge. In the front of the island there is a sunrise deck perfect for relaxing while viewing the Caribbean Ocean and in the back there is a large dock with many sunbeds and a little cabana to enjoy the bay of Cholon.

While staying at Isla Venado you will have access to a 23 ft recreational boat with 115hp four stroke engine and pilot. This boat is only to be driven by the Island s captain and is for your enjoyment in Cholon and for short trips. The island has a cook available to help you prepare your meals, two cleaning staff, a security guard and a handyman which will be eager to assist you in anything you need.

During your stay you will have clean towels for both fresh and salt water, a good supply of fresh water (please keep in mind this is an island and fresh water is scarce. Save water and save the planet), clean bed sheets, pillows, toiletries, soap and shampoo.

You are required to bring your own groceries (food, liquor, snacks etc…). You can purchase these groceries in an array of supermarkets, such as Carulla, Exito, Olimpica, and Jumbo.

Isla Venado is located 45 minutes away from Cartagena by speed boat or 90 minutes away by car. If you wish to come by car the best way is to reach the property in front of the island and the supplied recreational boat will pick you up and gladly take you to the island through permanently calm waters (2 min boat ride). If you would like to rent a larger boat in order to travel from and to Cartagena we can help you find one. This can be discussed at the moment of your reservation.
