The cabin is 8 minutes from Stillwater, 40 minutes from the Mall of America, and 30 minutes from the Twin Cities.

Description: Newer log-sided house with a large covered front porch and back deck, surrounded with old oaks, maples, pines. 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, full kitchen, washer and dryer, game room for kids foosball, and arcade games.

Golf: There are 4 golf courses within 10 minutes from the cabin.

Biking and Walking: The gateway trail is less than a mile from the cabin. This trail is an old railroad track which has been paved, it also has an unpaved horse trail. The trail goes east to Stillwater and west to St Paul.

If you are looking for a burger and a beer go north about a mile to Sal's Bar and Grill. For German food and beer head south about a mile to the Gasthaus Bavarian Hunter Restaurant. Or you could just stay at the cabin, have a campfire, and roast hot dogs and make s'mores in the fire pit.

This was a great place for our family to stay for the weekend! It was a nice and quiet location and we even got to see some deer, and turkey's. The cabin itself was super clean and we'll stocked with everything that we needed for the weekend. I would highly recommended the cabin in the woods to anyone who is looking for a place near Stillwater!

This property was better than expected. The pics can’t do it justice, it was a perfect place for our bachelorette weekend! We ended up spending more time at the cabin than we did going out!

We four women stayed at this place many years ago. It was wonderful! So full of wildlife just sitting in the dining room. We had a very relaxing stay vacation. Visited downtown Stillwater and drove to Red Wing. Thanks for the opportunity to stay at this wonderful cabin.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was very quiet and we saw deer, turkeys and birds every day in the front and back yard. If we are ever in the Stillwater area again we would definitely stay here again.

Family get away

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was everything we hoped it would be. Quietly located in the woods and very nice. Enjoyed seeing the deer running through the yard. Would definitely stay again.

Check in was very easy (but all our GPS units had us go to the Farm across the road).Spent relaxing time on the front porch watching it rain. Easy access to Stillwater.Appreciated the place…was very nice.

Great Cabin In the Woods!

This cozy cabin was just the perfect place to stay to get away from it all yet being close to all the areas we needed to get to. An added bonus was the woodland creatures we were able to view right in the backyard.

We loved this beautiful cabin in the woods. We saw turkeys, squirrels, deer, and various beautiful birds. Very relaxing and peaceful. There were enough pans, utensils, and cooking oils, etc. It’s about 10-15 minutes to the downtown (waterfront) Stillwater, about 30 minutes to Mall of America and Minneapolis airport. It might be a little confusing to find the place though due to GPS directs us to opposite side of the street. After we found the cabin, everything was great.

A peaceful, quiet, country setting for a reunion of college roommates. We enjoyed Stillwater by day and eating home-cooked meals at night. The weather was perfect for enjoying the outdoor porches. We would easily come back again!

Family gathering in Minnesota

The property was very clean, well maintained, and the grounds were impeccably groomed. It was the perfect venue for a family reunion. I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone.

Girl’s weekend

This was perfect for our sisters weekend. Very quiet and peaceful. We had dear wandering thru the backyard at dusk.

Grant City is a small rural community just northwest of Stillwater about 8 miles. It has one of the largest horse populations per capita in the U.S. If you like to bike, hike, or horse back ride. The Gateway Trail has a paved and gravel trail that is less than a mile from the property, it goes from Stillwater to St Paul.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

When cutting grass or doing maintenance on the cabin when there are no guest, I will always take a break on the front porch and watch the birds, turkeys, deer, and of course the squirrels. In the winter it is like a wonderland after a snow fall. All the trees are covered with snow and there is just a silence in the air.
