Whether you are looking for an adventure or just a quiet, peaceful place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, you will find what you are looking for at Holladay's Moon Mountain Escape.
Surrounded by towering trees Escape will quickly feel like your private woodland paradise. Enjoy the peaceful scenery from our giant spacious deck, offering patio furniture, great mountain views, and a gas grill. In the rear you will find a rustic sitting area where you can enjoy the secluded bliss of Moon Mountain.
Escape has a secluded feel yet is centrally located with easy access to skiing, golfing, shopping, horse racing, gambling and groceries. Bring you hiking shoes for an outing right out the back door.
An open floor plan not only makes it easy to socialize with your travel companions, but also allows you to quickly jump from the living room couch to the fully equipped kitchen to prepare hearty meals. The whole family can enjoy meals together around the dining table and Bar area illuminated by natural light shining through the windows.
Escape will sleep 8. The Master Bed room has a king size bed and master bath. The second and third bedroom have Queen sized beds and share the hall bath and shower. There is also a second living area that has a second TV, lots of books and games and a daybed with pop up.
This is not the big city. Life is easier and slower paced and more wonderful. This is why we come and why we stay. Relax and enjoy your escape in paradise.
This is a mountain home 4 wheel drive is recommended in the winter during winter storms.

The place was beautiful, comfortable and a great place to just relax and get away from it all. The view from the front window was gorgeous. Would recommend to others and definitely will return.

We had a great stay. Beautiful views, peaceful neighborhood, and convenient location. The park nearby had "the best playground ever" and free pickleball courts. The host was quick to respond to our questions. We're already planning when we can come back.

This property was absolutely everything that we hoped it would be, from the expansive deck to the great living spaces. Could not have been better. The host is very responsive. The home was spacious and very well-decorated and supplied with all of the essentials that one would need. Without hesitation, I’d recommend a reservation at this place.

Everything was great. Communication from the host is excellent, and the actual property is awesome. Conveniently located, quiet, and you get an interesting assortment of wildlife right outside the door.

First trip to Ruidoso

This house we perfect for us. We lived the spacious deck! The house was amazingly well outfitted. The home was spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We hope to stay again in the future.

Fantastic deck

We loved the view. We were able to see deer,turkeys and horses with in a couple of feet. Very enjoyable stay.

Perfect for family!

Our family loved the location, cabin and hiking out back. The cabin was clean and equipped with all the essentials needed. Chad was very nice and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed.

Great place!

Very nice place. It has everything you need. Owners responded quickly to answer my questions. Loved everything about this place and the location. It was perfect for us. Will stay again. Very clean.

Our second stay at this property in 2022 and 2026. Place does need some facelifting. Walls are dark and lighting in some areas is too dim. The bathtub drain in the primary bathroom does not drain properly. The hot water heater makes a lot of noise when using the hot water. I had to wash some of the glassware and dishes due to being coated with something. I think this was due to not using vinegar when using the dishwasher. Our kids and grandkids had a wonderful time, and we enjoyed the "wild" horses. The people next door were not very friendly and fussed at my daughter early in the morning when she let her dog out and when we were feeding the horses. We have been coming to Ruidoso for many years and we're aware that we should not be feeding the wild animals. However, we have done this for years and we're very careful around them and only feed them vegetables/fruit they like. They were just rude and not friendly -- puts a damper on the stay!

Amazing View

Great house with plenty of room. Everything we needed was there. Great deck to hangout. Not far from town but far enough to enjoy the quietness. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Getaway at Holladay’s

I want to say that it was such a pleasure to stay at Chad’s cabin in the mountains. The modern amenities and comforts were stellar. We communicated as to the arrival and detailed instructions were exactly on point with the property. There was no snow this trip but my family and young ones absolutely enjoyed and loved the cabin and our trip. We definitely will book again in the future and recommend this gem in Rudioso!

Beautiful home with mountain view

I booked this home for the weekend. My family really enjoyed the indoor area. The kitchen, living room areas and bedrooms were spacious. One of the best parts of this home is the view of the mountains from the deck and living room. The location is about 10 minutes away from downtown. Since this home is up on the hill, make sure to have an all wheel drive if there is snow on the forecast.

Perfect Getaway!

Everything was perfect! We had so much space. The kids really loved all the games! We were all so relaxed/entertained that no one wanted to leave for the activities we were in the area for. Thank you for sharing your place, Chad! It's a gem! Best rental experience ever!

We fell in love with this cabin. It has an amazing front deck with great views. The cabin backs up to state land which gives you access to some great hiking right behind the house. Inside the house is so comfortable you will want to stay for ever.
