Whether you are looking for an adventure or just a quiet, peaceful place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, you will find what you are looking for at Holladay's Moon Mountain Escape.
Surrounded by towering trees Escape will quickly feel like your private woodland paradise. Enjoy the peaceful scenery from our giant spacious deck, offering patio furniture, great mountain views, and a gas grill. In the rear you will find a rustic sitting area where you can enjoy the secluded bliss of Moon Mountain.
Escape has a secluded feel yet is centrally located with easy access to skiing, golfing, shopping, horse racing, gambling and groceries. Bring you hiking shoes for an outing right out the back door.
An open floor plan not only makes it easy to socialize with your travel companions, but also allows you to quickly jump from the living room couch to the fully equipped kitchen to prepare hearty meals. The whole family can enjoy meals together around the dining table and Bar area illuminated by natural light shining through the windows.
Escape will sleep 8. The Master Bed room has a king size bed and master bath. The second and third bedroom have Queen sized beds and share the hall bath and shower. There is also a second living area that has a second TV, lots of books and games and a daybed with pop up.
This is not the big city. Life is easier and slower paced and more wonderful. This is why we come and why we stay. Relax and enjoy your escape in paradise.
This is a mountain home 4 wheel drive is recommended in the winter during winter storms.

Beautiful home with mountain view

I booked this home for the weekend. My family really enjoyed the indoor area. The kitchen, living room areas and bedrooms were spacious. One of the best parts of this home is the view of the mountains from the deck and living room. The location is about 10 minutes away from downtown. Since this home is up on the hill, make sure to have an all wheel drive if there is snow on the forecast.

Great place!

Very nice place. It has everything you need. Owners responded quickly to answer my questions. Loved everything about this place and the location. It was perfect for us. Will stay again. Very clean.

Fantastic deck

We loved the view. We were able to see deer,turkeys and horses with in a couple of feet. Very enjoyable stay.

Amazing View

Great house with plenty of room. Everything we needed was there. Great deck to hangout. Not far from town but far enough to enjoy the quietness. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Perfect for family!

Our family loved the location, cabin and hiking out back. The cabin was clean and equipped with all the essentials needed. Chad was very nice and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed.

Relaxing Long Weekend

The house was very clean and had everything we needed. We took our small dog and had to take her out on the lease to do her business since there is no fenced yard, but that got us out and moving. Beautiful front covered porch with a nice view.

Relaxing and amazing views

We had a wonderful and relaxing time at Holiday House. The house is spacious and well equipped, and the bonus room was a definite plus! We were visited by elk, deer and wild turkeys, and our grandkids had a wonderful time exploring around the cabin. We will be back!

Has a Large Deck/Front Porch

that is like being in a tree house on the side of a mountain! This home has comfortable spaces to spread out and relax in and we would definitely stay here again.

Great location!

Property was nice and well stocked. We arrived late due to a road closure so we opted not to hit the grocery store after we arrived. We did not have to stop at the store as they had the coffee essentials waiting for us when we arrived! This house was a great location close to town but with a very remote feel. If it snows make sure you have snow chains or 4wheel drive as the road in is very steep although paved. I wanted snow for my vacation but I was glad it didnt when I drove up the road to get to the property as it was pretty steep incline. I have no complaints for the property it was exactly what I expected from the description. The deer, elk and wild turkeys were a surprise and were not spooked by people so be aware if you take your dog. We had a great time in the area and this was a great base camp for our visit!

A clean, cozy and roomy home. Just beautiful.

We stayed in Ruidoso for a fun little family get away. We should have stayed longer. Cozy and warm during the cold winter days. Comply beds and extra blankets to keep warm. Two bathrooms, washer and dryer, microwave, large living space by the complete kitchen allows for all the comforts of home. They even had a Keurig My aunts would are particular about cleanliness were impressed. Hoping to stay again another time.

Perfect House to Enjoy the Mountains of Ruidoso

You won't go wrong renting this house in Ruidoso. The property has a large and comfortable deck to enjoy the beautiful mountains. The house is roomy and the owner has provided everything needed to make your stay enjoyable. We would not hesitate to rent this house again.

Good value and a view that would be very hard to beat

Great for families. Has two living/entertaining areas, a large kitchen, 2 regular bedrooms and a master. The porch is fabulous, and the views from the porch and main living area are A+. Just an amazing view of Ruidoso and the surrounding mountains. Has a really nice sitting area in the back also that sits in the forest. On our final day we saw two deer laying low -- you could only see their ears twitching. And one day we had a pregnant deer walk right up to us and hang out for at least a half hour as we sat on the front deck. The rate was reasonable and Chad was very gracious and responsive. I have nothing but good things to say about our experience.

Great experience

The place was amazing, clean, and beautiful views. Pictures do no justice to the actual place. Definitely going back. I highly recommend it, it was a great place for family and kids we had a 1 year old and a 3 year and they had toys for them as well, even though they took their own they played more with the ones there than their own lol.

Great views, great space, great weekend

The property is roomy, has great views, and a gorgeous deck. The photos of it don’t do it justice. We loved the area behind the cabin to walk our dogs and hangout.

We fell in love with this cabin. It has an amazing front deck with great views. The cabin backs up to state land which gives you access to some great hiking right behind the house. Inside the house is so comfortable you will want to stay for ever.
