High Point Retreat is an amazing 5000 square foot log home built upon one of the highest points in Hocking County. Sitting atop the hill with 9 acres, our log home is nestled in a private location. We are minutes away Cantwell Cliffs, Old Man's Cave, Rock House, zip lines, and other attractions.High Point Retreat offers large open floor-plan, expanded dining area with wonderful views of nature, 2 balcony decks, gas grills, hot tub, fire pit, soccer goals, and even a playground for the kids. Great Stay

The pictures listed do not do the property justice! There’s so much more to see. Our group really enjoyed the open layout of the lower level. There was so much room and things to do! We would love to book again for our next stay!

New Year's Retreat

Our group of 8 adults 3 teens had a wonderful stay over New Year's Eve! The setting is beautiful, very secluded with its own private trail through the woods, which the lovely picture windows next to the long dining table overlook. The house is large, well-furnished, and comfortable, well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen and lots to do in the basement and outside.

Hocking Hills Trip

I stayed at this property with a large group of friends for a hiking and adventure weekend trip. We were able to check out some of the sites, canoe on the river and enjoy the outdoors, all due to the house being so close to so much in Hocking Hills! The house itself was stunning and was able to accommodate all 14 guests we ended up having. We booked it for 16, but there would have been room even if they came! The kitchen area was great and able to seat everyone for meals, and the back yard and fire pit areas were exceptional. Also the lower level was unexpected! The pictures show the pool table, but i dont think it shows the projector screen and couches. It was a very open area on both levels and all my guests enjoyed it thoroughly. If we ever end up with a large group to do it again, i would book this location again. Highly recommended

Very pretty and private

This property was a wonderful surprise to pull into after a bit of a tough drive on the small roads (followed GPS at first just to be safe, so definitely follow the host's directions next time). The amenities of this place were well thought out and purposeful. Great place for large groups. Lots of carpenter bees but that might be normal around this time of year. Other than that, our family enjoyed our time here. Can't say thank you enough!

This was our second time staying here, it’s an annual tradition we all look forward to! We love the open space inside and outside, and couldn’t ask for a cleaner cabin!

Perfect for large group

We enjoyed our visit very much! Enjoyed the property!! Was large & perfect for us!! Do want to let you know the refrigerator leaked water onto the floor 2 or 3 times while we were there. Assuming when the frig defrosted it leaked onto the floor. We wiped it up when we arrived & while there. Want to let you know before it damages the floor. Thank you! We had a great time!!!

Great place!

We were there on a weekend getaway with college friends and the space was perfect! Hot tub was a bonus and the house has everything you could ask for and more.

Plenty of Room! Everything you could want!

We can't say enough good things about this house. It was a perfect place for our extended family Thanksgiving getaway. We had lots of room for both generations of 3 families to hangout, play games, and relax. The extended kitchen area was perfect for our impromptu dance party. The house is clean, beautifully decorated and stocked with anything you could need. We enjoyed the fire pit in the backyard and loved the hiking trails. This is an amazing find!

Better than expected!

I cannot say enough about this place. We loved our stay and it was a perfect location for our Friendsgiving! The kitchen was fully stocked for all 18 of us and there was a spacious bedroom for each of our 6 family units! We hope to book it every year moving forward.

Perfect for families!

The setting was beautiful and the accommodations are very kid friendly. The kitchen is well equipped and the house was big enough for all eleven of us. We had a fabulous week.

Really nice cabin, awesome location and perfect place for staycation

Really nice cabin for a staycation. The cabin is well equipped and spacious. The game room for adults and the play yard for kids was fun. suggestions - optional baby/ kids proofing (safety gate) is needed for stairs from the hallway. need some better internet speed.

Friendcation

This place was perfect for our group of 12! There were so many areas to enjoy. We loved the firepit and the seating around it and the yard was spacious. The hot tub was very nice! The inside was beautiful and all the rooms were very cozy. Although the house was very private without close neighbors, we were close to everything as we visited a winery, kayaked down the river, went on some hiking trails and saw the caves. We would definitely rent this beautiful place again!

Best property ever !!

High Point Retreat is beyond awesome. Besides being extremely clean and well equipped with everything we needed, the yard is incredible. There are even hiking trails right on the property. Everything about our stay was awesome.

Family Gathering
