We rent a VRBO in downtown Crested Butte 2x on average. This house was pretty typical for the town. Great location just one block off Elk Avenue and walkable to the Walk in the Woods trailhead. Upstairs & downstairs wood floors were very clean, and the master bathroom feels newly updated. A few items to call out - downstairs bathroom has a shower that is dated and didn't really drain, and the carpet on the back staircase could definitely stand to be replaced. I would say the price, on average, was high vs. some other places that we stayed. And at that price cleaning fee, I would very much appreciate if I wasn't asked to take out the trash, strip the beds, pile the towels, etc. I do know those items are standard for a VRBO, but they are still frustrating when you are paying a hefty cleaning fee.Hot tub was amazing, and the backyard was a lovely place to sit.

What an amazing house! Well appointed. Comfortable beds. Great amenities. In the perfect location. Walkable to everything. One block from the town bus. Our host was terrific. Excellent communication throughout. We highly recommend The Yellow House and will decinitely stay there again.

Birthday trip to Crested Butte was fabulous!

Had a great time in the yellow house. Perfect location to Elk Street yet very quiet street. Will stay there again. Property owners great to work with.

Super cute house in a great location in Crested Butte. There were 7 of us and I was a little worried that it would feel tight but the lay out was perfect.

Yellow House rules!

What an amazing stay at the Yellow House. Perfect location to the shuttle, tons of awesome bars/restaurants/shops, and Josh was great to communicate with, we'd love to come back! Fire up the hot tub.

Absolute best location in CB

We loved the yellow house. It’s very well kept, the hot tub is hot, there’s a cool bathtub in the master bedroom, the floors are heated and the water is hot, the shower pressure A+, it’s located a block from everything, including the ski bus shuttle stop in the magical town of Crested Butte. It was basically perfect in every way.

Close, Clean, and Comfortable

Our family of 6 enjoyed our stay at the Yellow House. The location was great and within walking distance to the shops and restaurants on Elk Ave. There was plenty of space and the entire house was very clean and beautifully decorated. There were nice touches many vacation rentals don't have such as shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, paper towels, tissues, dish soap, and laundry supplies. You can't go wrong with the Yellow House!

Oh…we will be back!

Absolutely loved this house, perfectly placed in Crested Butte…a quick walk to everything! The house was clean and had a bonus loft upstairs with two twin beds! The kitchen was NICELY equipped making cooking at home easy! The floors were warm…the fireplace was hot…the hot tub outside was NEW and welcomed after long ski days!! Loved this house and we will definitely be back!

Cool House in Crested Butte

I traveled with 2 friends to Crested Butte for the Wildflower Festival. This in town house was a great location. We could walk everywhere. The one bedroom with twin beds was a little small but it was fine. Also, there is no air conditioning and in the afternoons it was rather warm. However, it cooled off at night and we were OK with fans running. Nice garden and hot tub. I would definitely stay here again.

Really enjoyed our stay. Unique, historical home but with plenty space for 6 people. Josh is a wonderful host. Hot tub was already heated when we arrived and he worked hard to keep walkways clear of snow and make sure we were comfortable. The shuttle is truly just a block away and it takes you to the mountain and other stops along the way (small grocery, shopping). Elk Avenue one block away. We also went snowmobiling one day and the storefront was a block away. Next time we will not bother with a rental car. Everything you need is right there!

Love the layout with the three bedrooms downstairs with two and a half bathes. The upstairs living area with kitchen and full bath has a great open feel. Josh, our host, was great and helpful. This was our second visit, and we hope to return again and again.
