Big Vista is a brand-new comfortable vacation studio suite. Big Vista has one of the best views on Vancouver Island. Guests will enjoy views of more than 100 km of coastline across the Salish Sea. Big Vista offers guests a private vacation home.
Big Vista has a well equipped kitchenette with quartz countertops and quality cabinetry. The views from the suite are spectacular. It has a spacious bathroom with a walk in shower with quality finishings. The Big Vista patio has spectacular sunrise views and amazing year round sunsets. A private BBQ is provided for guests. The Big Vista suite offers books and games for your enjoyment.
Big Vista offers a queen bed with freshly pressed quality linens and duvets for a luxurious sleeping experience. Fleecy robes are provided for the comfort of the guests.
Big Vista has a private entrance down 2 flights of outside stairs. Guests are encouraged to explore the large terraced garden and to enjoy the beautiful landscaping. Big Vista is located in a quiet neighbourhood and offers a peaceful, relaxing vacation. Beaches and trails are nearby, sea lions and whales are often seen swimming past, and the eagles are frequently found in the trees. Guests enjoy relaxing and enjoying the cruise ship views of the ocean. Big Vista offers a comfortable vacation experience for visitors to Vancouver Island and Nanaimo.
Big Vista is a multi-generational home. The Big Vista suite is independent and private. Guests may encounter children and an elderly Golden Labrador. She is a very friendly quiet dog who spends most of her time sleeping.
We do not welcome other pets at Big Vista.
Big Vista is a cleaned, disinfected and sanitized property. The suite is completely independent from the rest of the house.

We did have a very nice stay! The view is really amazing.Debby and John are very friendly hosts.We where lucky to see whales from our patio and hummingbirds, a really beautifull experience! The room was very clean, and had everything we needed.Hope we will come back sometime

The suite was in perfect condition and we had chocolate and fresh flowers to welcome us. Our hosts were wonderful and the views from our patio were breathtakingly beautiful.

We had a wonderful stay at Debby and John's Big Vista Suite. The ocean view was incredible, the suite was very well equipped, the bed was great, and the gardens were beautiful. Wonderful neighbourhood, with walks to oceanfront parks.

First of all, the view was spectacular, the tiered garden outside our door beautifully tended. The apartment itself was lovely, everything new and appealing: kitchenet, comfortable bed, enough room to relax, a private bathroom. Private in general. We were at the back of the house on the lowest of three levels, but not in a basement. There was a patio area outside the sliding glass doors. Plenty of daylight inside. This apartment was wonderful, beyond our expectations. And Deborah and John were ideal hosts: helpful and pleasant. They were when we needed them, though the main house never intruded on our privacy. John even took us on an extended visit to the Nanaimo Military Museum, that my husband was eager to see. Thank you so much Deborah and John!

You will not find a better view, it's mesmerizing. Sitting out on the patio listening to the sound of the ocean and the eagles was a favourite. Lovely spot, cozy room with all the amenities.

The host was accommodating and welcoming. The unit was cozy and clean and had an amazing view from the patio as described by other visitors and pictures shown! 10/10 would stay again!

Debby and John were fantastic hosts. Their suite is beautiful, clean and they’ve thought of every amenity we’d ever need. The view from the suite is breathtaking. Loved every minute here!

Loved this place! Exceeded our expectations. A beautiful property, quiet, peaceful, clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our trip. The garden is beautiful. We enjoyed magnificent views, stunning sunsets and were lucky enough to see an eagle flying over with fish in its talons and also saw the Orca’s swimming by. This is a great location, close to shopping and restaurants. Best of all, our hosts Debby and John were friendly, welcoming and super responsive. We will definitely book again. Highly recommend!

Great location, amazing views from the suite and the 2 decks, clean and well equipped suite, and very accommodating and friendly owners. We would definitely recommend and plan to return someday!

This is the ideal rental for relaxation and viewing pleasure. The room was very well-appointed with many thoughtful inclusions such as binoculars and maps, condiments in the fridge, chocolates on the table, etc. A beautiful space with a comfortable bed and great bathroom. Located on the bottom level at the back of the property, it is very quiet. But as good as that all is, it is the spectacular scenery outside that makes this a special place. There are extensive tiered gardens below the terrace outside the room. Comfortable chairs are set up to see the ocean channel right in front of you with unobstructed views of the north coast of the Island, channel islands and the mountains to the east on the mainland. There were bald eagles and vultures soaring above and orcas swimming offshore. To top it off, Debbie was a most accommodating host, readily available to provide information about the area and for genial conversation. It was a perfect choice, thank you Debbie and John.

Can't beat the view, location and hosts
Easy check in with helpful hosts. Everything as described in the listing was spot on.Well appointed and well maintained, it was a delight to stay at Debby and John's suite. Easy access to restaurants and grocery stores and the emergency dentist that I required as recommended by Debby!We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The property is amazing with spectacular views and gracious hosts. My family and I were lucky enough to see whales, eagles, dear and bunnies from the comfort of the living room window. Debby and John are both amazing hosts happy to assist with information about the area and any other inquiries we had. The location is close to everything you’d need and yet very quiet and peaceful. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get away for a great trip to Nanaimo.
