Great stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Relaxing even with our own kids being excited and loud inside and outside. The windows in the living room allowed adults to stay cool and visit inside while still allowing a clear view of the kids in the pool outside. The trash was convenient being a very short walk but not close enough to smell a thing. The amenities at the main facility were amazing as well.

Perfect for a family gathering

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Belle Oaks is a spacious and well-appointed vacation home for family get-togethers. We loved the open floor plan and large dining table. It might have been nice if the upstairs bedrooms had queen beds instead of kings -- just to allow a bit more space to move around.The property was very clean and the pool was clean and a perfect temperature at the end of the summer. We also loved going down to the lake and borrowing the free kayaks.We would be happy to return here and recommend this property to a friend or relative!

We swam in the pool, lake, played b-ball, volleyball, rented a boat, did the paddle boards & canoes, cooked out... You name it, we did it! Wonderful time and we will be back.

No one wanted to leave! A few minor needs-squeaky back door,downstair bathroom toilet adjustments-otherwise-SUPER place to stay! We will return again!!

Great Family Vacation

Even tho the lake was closed there was plenty to do with our private pools and hot tub, volleyball, hiking, campfires etc. the cabins are beautiful and we can't wait to come back!!

We loved how secluded this cabin felt, yet was so close to everything we needed. Needs blinds in the kitchen. There are brackets but no blinds. Could use new drapes in the living room. More blankets and throws for the cold would have been nice. Enjoyed the hot tub.

Belle Oaks needs new beds and a deep cleaning

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The beds in this cabin were terrible!!!!!!!!!!!! They need to be burned immediately. Worst nights sleep I’ve had in years... especially at this price point. There were also white STAINS on the bedding. Disgusting. I loved the property, but with so many other luxury properties in the Hill Country to choose from, I would sadly hesitate before booking this one again.

Property Great - service sub par

Had to call several times to get check-in information, nothing was ever email, was just told to check back. Arrived and the master bedroom floor was completely wet - the bedroom flooded from the rain. When I called the next day I was told, oh yeah....it does that...do you need more towels?? The entire bedroom floor was wet!!! Oven did not work. Had to replace the entire stove - so there went a day of cooking that we could not do, but no communication from management. I really enjoyed the resort, but the service was sub par.

Belle Oaks Short Summer Stay

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have been going to Log Country Cove for 12 years. We usually stay in one of the big houses with a pool right on the lake. I chose to stay in Belle Oaks because I wanted a less expensive home than what I usually had because I was not sharing the cost with anyone, but I also wanted a pool. I had two 12-years olds; two 24 year olds; and my mother and stepfather (80 year olds) with me. The lay out of the house was great for everyone - plenty of beds. Only one bathroom was hard occasionally, but not consistently difficult. The pool was very nice and very clean. I suggest renting a golf cart for getting everyone back and forth from the house down to the lake - that was a life saver. Some disappointing aspects of the home were: outdated tub and shower in the master bath; outdated kitchen (no disposal); lack of nice cookware and other kitchen utensils (I love to cook so this mattered to me), the hot tub does not have bubbles - the water just circulates. Overall - the house is worn and needs some TLC and updates. However, if you are looking for a more affordable option that has a pool, you will probably like it. There is some road noise from the main road outside.

Spring Retreat

A sorely needed last minute getaway for my wife and I that turned into a small family gathering for one of the four days we stayed at Belle Oaks in Log Country Cove. The cabins and Log Country Cove property are visually striking and filled us with a touch of nostalgia for summer camps of our youth and, for me, the Lincoln Log cabins I built as a child. “Cabin” can mean a lot of things in Texas apparently and these do not disappoint. In fact, we don’t see many actually Log cabins listed when we rent. One of our weekend guests was sure that these weren’t actually real log cabins and that the homes were covered in a log cabin facade. The Belle Oaks is a two story three bedroom that sleeps 14 I believe. The cabin has three bedrooms with king beds and a loft with two queens, a bunch of twins and a pool table. Two bath with the downstairs bath inside the master suite with a jacuzzi tub. Television and internet work well although we didn’t use them much. Kitchen was stocked with starter items. If you stay longer than a few days you’ll need to bring your own trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper etc. Everything was clean and functioning but several of the mentioned amenities like horseshoes, tetherball, etc. are no longer there. The horseshoe pit exists but no horseshoes, tether ball was missing, etc. not really a negative for us but could be for someone else. We had the pool heated and it was amazing. The stars from this location are amazing. The cabin itself is tucked back in the trees and your really feel a sense of privacy. The only thing that disappointed me was the size of the smoker/grill. The one on location doesn’t do the cabin Justice and could use an upgrade. Loved this property and will return.
